It makes me wonder why people take the risk of going to jail in Thailand. I had a friend who spent time in jail for being the boyfriend of a important Thai, she was 17 at the time, long story but they locked him up and never informed his family, a social worker got word out after 4 years of hell. What he told me about prison life in Thailand was that it's living hell.
