Downforme reports down. I get 504 error

If you are living in the same area you could do it also wherever you are you could collect and destroy any previous copies. However, in law the latest last written legitimate will is the one a court will recognise. There is no legal requirement to revoke or cancel any will previously lodged at an Amphur In fact any will would normally state in its preamble 'This will revokes all previous wills' or words to that effect. That has the legal effect of cancelling previous wills.

The question as to whether a bank allows money to be withdrawn on presentation of a will arises quite often on this forum. I don't believe that a 'pay on death' mandate is in use here or even if it's legal, so that's not available. A bank may recognise a valid will when it sees one but it has no way of knowing it is the last will made by the deceased, which is of course the only valid will. Therefore a bank is correct if they do not release funds on the sight of any will. Actual case... Many years ago a friend who I had known for many years died he had been previously married then divorced then remarried, all in Thailand. About a week after his death got a call from a friend of ours who worked at the bank saying someone was trying to access the deceased account and it was not his wife, who he also knew. It was his first wife with an old will. I wont go into what happened when current wife us and others turned up at the bank. I learnt a lot of derogatory Thai phases. Result was ex wife did not get the money.

Extra account for retirement visa?
terryq replied to jethro69's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thought that was an American requirement relating to direct Govt. payments. As said, certainly not a Thai Immigration rule. -
The committee will set up a sub-committee to investigate.

Have never heard of that shaped frypan . You're not referring to a WOK by any chance?

You have a special shirt just to eat mints ?

Absolute rubbish. If you are on overstay then you are here illegally. The Immigration Police are doing the job they are paid for. If anyone wishes to disregard any laws. regulations or laws in Thailand, for whatever reason, then that is up to them , but don't start bleating when there are consequences.

He might have paid for it but I doubt if he ever legally owned it.

Have you any idea what a 250 HP pump looks like ? The 250 in the pump model refers to the wattage. 250 W is about one third of a horse power. Adequate for the job in hand.

Retirement visa renewal at immigration without using an agent
terryq replied to stargazer9999's topic in Chiang Mai
For those that fully satisfy the requirements for an extension the use of an agent is surely personal choice and does not in any way signify the size of ones brain. Reading this sub forum for even a few times it is obvious that not all immigration offices are equal. For those that get hassled and spend a whole day, or more, for a simple extension then use of an agent makes sense. For those that live relatively near an Immigration office and are in and out in 30 mins then an agent, IMHO, is unnecessary. Personally, I drive within 2Km of Immigration once or twice a month anyway so not a problem I did my 'one year' this week, took just under 30 mins. No agent. In all the years doing extensions have never been asked for money or additional forms (not saying it does not happen to some. Full disclosure... yes I have used an agent in the past. First ever Marriage extension, 'agent' cost 500 baht, extension cost 500 baht. Money well spent. After getting extension agent said 'now you know you can do it yourself next year' -

Expelled from Thailand
terryq replied to sefwrwyju7lo6's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A multi entry tourist visa is not designed for people who want to live in Thailand continuously. It is designed for tourists who want use Thailand as their base whilst travelling around SE Asia or even beyond. Possible itinerary could be week in Thailand ,few days in Cambodia then return to Thailand for a while then off to Singapore for some days . back to Thailand then on to ....you get the picture. It works great for that. -
Expelled from Thailand
terryq replied to sefwrwyju7lo6's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your understanding is incorrect. You had a multiple entry visa with each entry of UP TO 60 days. As many entries as you liked BUT the last one must have been taken before 12 May. As already pointed out if you had made an entry on 11 May then you would have been granted 60 days ,which could have been extended by a further 30 days. Why you were not offered visa exempt I do not know, did you actually ask for visa exempt when visa entry was rightfully refused? Possible attitude/body language did not go down well.- 97 replies

Would you allow an orangutan to grope your gf's breasts?
terryq replied to save the frogs's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
That's no orangutan ... it's an Aseannow member dressed up! Most will do anything for a free grope. Not going to list the likely persons. -
Is it a 'scam' or is it a family member has just ordered something for delivery to her shop and has not told anyone ? According to the package who ordered it.? Suggest you hide the USB fan away and wait for someone to ask 'anything come for me yet' Also make family members order on their personal account only.

Does anyone agree with her demands?
terryq replied to sqwakvfr's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
Wherever she sits I hope she has to inform the cabin crew before she gets out of her seat(s) to move about so that the pilot at least has a chance to retrim the plane.
