  1. Nice jolly up for the London (Met?) police officer. Who wants all expenses paid trip to Koh Phangan to discuss the Full Moon Party?
  2. If it is that mountain that runs from the Jungle Club in South Chaweng all the way to Maenam, it is slowly being cleared of trees / jungle as more and more developments commence. I have also noticed that the mountain at the back of Bangrak, where the runners and walkers exercise (opposite Sand Yard), has recently been deforested. Probably in preparation for building. Though when walking up there, I have always thought that it was untouched because it was too steep to build on. Looks like I was wrong.
  3. What a horrible situation. She must have been petrified. Obviously not knowing if possible, never having been on that situation, but if she had the head, I wonder if she could have gone for the eyes. It might have made the snake release her. Just a thought.
  4. If they think that's bad, they need to go to the Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan. I only went once, and all the men were wading out ankle deep and pissing in the sea rather than go searching for toilets.
  5. It is sold under the name Circadin. Or something like that.
  6. How did they know he was a tourist?
  7. I couldn't watch it all. Her non stop whining voice, and narrative peppered with 'like' was driving me mad. She is a prime example of why many men turn to Thai women. Very astute of her to say some of her viewers are losers. That will really help her channel grow.
  8. Opening another bank account might prove very difficult. The requirements will likely include proof that you are a UK resident. Maybe a Council Tax bill or something similar. Even if you find another bank that will open an account for you, don't close your Santander account. Most UK Banks are closing accounts of customers if they find they are living abroad. Better to keep it just in case.
  9. The aliens must have heard about the girls and ladyboys of Pattaya. Doing a flyover to check out a landing site for a spot of alien debauchery.
  10. Why can't I just save my licence in my phone wallet? I don't need all that extra stuff
  11. Wow. That was bad luck. Will there now be a run on snorkels in the village?
  12. Made all the skin on my elbows swell up and drove me mad with itchiness. Lasted about four days.
  13. I had to renew my UK passport recently, only a few months after renewing my 5 year Thai driving licences. As I will soon be going on a trip to Europe, I want to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP). Only thing is, the DL's now have my old passport number, which I can see being a problem in bureaucratic Thailand. So I need to go to the DLT and get my licences updated. Has anyone done this? If so what was needed? All the same forms and documents as a renewal? Or just take the DL's and they will update them? Surely it can't be that easy. 🙂
  14. Certainly. Here you go: https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c62rygz20gjt?post=asset%3A73939f40-7c3f-4fca-82cc-bfcfea9035fb#post https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/09/10/killer-lawson-natty-released-early-prison-keir-starmer/ https://www.thepublica.com/uk-rapist-released-due-to-prison-overcrowding-arrested-on-suspicion-of-rape-seconds-after-walking-free/
  15. A killer convicted of manslaughter over the death of a teenage boy in a machete attack was released early from prison on Tuesday in Sir Keir Starmer’s drive to tackle jail overcrowding.. Started earlier week, the program is already under scrutiny after an inmate was re-arrested on suspicion of rape just moments after being set free from Wandsworth Prison in south-west London. The 28-year-old man, who had just been released as part of the scheme to reduce prison crowding, was taken into custody by waiting police officers, with the Metropolitan Police confirming that he was arrested on suspicion of rape, sexual assault, and a racially aggravated public order offense. The union for probation workers said some people convicted of domestic violence and sexual offences are being released early - despite government assurances - but the Ministry of Justice denies this
  16. The last time I had eaten KFC was almost forty years ago in London, until I finally tried it again here in Thailand when I took the daughter for the treat she wanted. It was OK, but not as tasty as I recall. Back in the UK they used to sell little pots of baked beans and coleslaw as sides. Do they still do that?.
  17. Wow! Didn't see that coming. Who would have thought that might happen? Robbers are gonna rob, and rapists are gonna rape un fortunately. But that's OK. Kier got his hate speakers locked away. So everyone can sleep safely now knowing their feelings won't be hurt.
  18. I wonder if Mr Grey has a Red Notice , or Blue Notice on him from Interpol. He will likely be Blacklisted once deported.
  19. Everyone's gone to Phuket. https://aseannow.com/topic/1338016-phuket-named-world’s-most-overcrowded-destination-amid-tourism-boom/
  20. How will restructuring the economy to become a digital one stimulate it?
  21. Schools in Europe have just reopened after summer break, the THB is getting stronger, and no one has any money. But don't worry hoteliers, once the Thai taxman starts taxing all the expats next year, even they will likely cut back on travel.
  22. After the Stormy Daniels affair I wouldn't be surprised if it was her that hired the assassin. 😆
  23. France arrested the CEO of Telegram. Looks like the UK might be going after Musk next. Pretty soon no one will be able to criticise anyone or anything without the risk of being arrested for hurting someone's feelings.
  24. I read somewhere that normal pepper spray can cause ulcers in dog's eyes. If you really want a pepper spray for protection against them, there are specific one's precisely for that purpose.
