  1. Plus half of these so called barbers or hairdressers are not properly trained. They pick up their so called skills by standing next to the hairdresser and just watching, or taking videos on their phones. Must be quite disconcerting for the customer. I have even had a crew cut f*****d up by a barber who left a 2 inch bald spot at the back of my head because he wasn't concentrating.
  2. If lying on your back with your legs in the air gives you leg cramps, you were in the wrong business. ????
  3. Isn't it Woodsome? I suppose it depends on which passport he is using.
  4. I think it is something to do with being able to buy submarines without engines.
  5. Looking at that hairline as a monk, I can see why he wears wigs when dressed as a female..
  6. They will ask for ID and also phone number. Thai driving licence or passport will suffice. They will probably ask you what is in the box if you have already packed it. I just used to take stuff in and get them to pack it for me. They will print off the address, stick it on, and that's it. Apart from payment of course.
  7. All you can do is ensure you have updated to the latest OS. Which I believe is 15.6.1 as of two days ago.
  8. I had the same as AhFarangJa on AIS. Contact True, explain the situation and ask them to check what charges are being taken from your phone and to stop them.
  9. Even before today's strict KYC and anti money laundering rules, I doubt you would be able to open a bank account online here in Thailand. I know in the west, some of the online banks allow it, but they require strict identity proof. I don't think Thailand is anywhere near ready for that yet. But good luck with your search. Asfor using some online entity or an agent. Would you really want to risk losing all your money like that? Pretty sure you would be breaking many of the bank's account security rules about ensuring no one else accessing your account.
  10. GF told me a few months ago that there were spitting Cobras in Thailand. I didn't believe her. I thought they were only in Africa...until I looked it up. I remember Steve Irwin on one of his shows wearing sunglasses or some form of eye protection, and encouraging one to spit at him. Just to show how accurate they are.
  11. I agree. The damage was done while the car was in the dealership's care. It was not her fault. Looks like they are trying to palm her off and not be out of pocket themselves.
  12. The prints might be of some type of lizard trying to climb in your window. The noise in the roof is probably unrelated. Could be anything from rodents to birds or bats.
  13. "Marine officials inspected the pier to ensure safety and prevent any over-fee pricing for speed boats." Do they do that every month? Or only when some bigwig is visiting?
  14. 140,000 baht? What pet was he/she keeping? An Elephant?
  15. Price can vary depending on which part of Thailand you are in as well.
  16. Never used a helmet camera so that's why I am asking. Wouldn't it create shaky video? Surely the constant movement of the head as one checks mirrors and behind, and constant looking left and right etc is not good for video making. Even with image stabilisation. Would t not be better to mount a camera to the front of the bike itself? or even wear one of those chest mount devices?
  17. EVA Air is better. Non stop flights from LHR to BKK. All new aircraft.
  18. Didn't they try that at Khao San Road? What happened there once they moved the stalls and brought it "upmarket"?
  19. Both girlfriend (2 x Sinovac + 1 AZ booster) and unvaccinated daughter had Covid around end of January.. I had had my booster on Boxing Day, so must have been pretty well protected as I was the only one who didn't catch it. Even though I was in close contact with them all the time they were isolating. Daughter then caught it a second time at Songkran at same time as me. I just think that immunity wanes after a few months.
  20. 2 x AZ, 1 x Pfizer last Boxing Day. Contracted Covid over Songkran. Vaccination not recommended for six months after any Covid infection, so that puts me at October earliest. However I will wait and see what medical advice is ten, and see if there is any improved or updated vaccine for further variants. But to be honest, if I do have a forth, I don't think I would go for any more after that.
  21. My Tefal Air Fryer has a variable temperature control. I never use the preset menu options. I find they are too aggressive. Frozen Fries at 200 degrees C for 20 minutes is far too much. I usually do 180 for 12-14 minutes. I buy an olive oil spray from Tops which I use to lightly coat the air fryer tray and the meat I am cooking. If your one only has a fixed 200 degrees C temperature, you will have to keep an eyes on things to stop them getting burnt.
  22. Fishing boat captains in the Gulf will be quite worried if these things ever set sail. ????
  23. Invest a million or buy an Elite Visa. Money talks. Problem solved. A Montenegran passport has worked for others.
  24. I would have thought they would have made sure they could get the engines they actually wanted before putting pen to paper on the subs. But now at least they should be able to sail them into port for show.
