  1. As I stated above, I'm more worried about her consolation prize, when the next Supreme Court justice retires. That's the only way I see her bowing out quietly from the 2024 election slate, where even she sees she has no chance. I'm afraid that if they convince Sotomayor to resign for health reasons (and to save democracy Democrats), they may even accelerate that, to allow Joe's handlers to pick a new VP before the election. But I do read righty news sources, where it's all being discussed, unlike the MSM.
  2. In 25 years living in Asia, it's real common to find women stringing a whole herd of foreign guys along, jumping on the first one that offers the opportunity to emigrate. (Well, they jump on all of them, but you know what I mean...) She may not have found a better option, but she did apparently find a sure thing if she's already in Canada.
  3. I don't have a clue what the lady's game is. But if she's already in Canada, I think the OP is what we'd call "surplus to her current needs". And if she's a looker keeper, it'll be easy for her to find another guy. And if she's not a keeper... Well, why bother? Listen to BangkokReady and move on.
  4. Here's a headscratcher for the Biden supporters. Why do you figure violent crime in Venezuela has gone down by 25% at the same time the US borders have been wide open? https://insightcrime.org/news/venezuela-crime-rate-falling/ And what kind of enterprises do you figure the cartels are funding now with $5,000 a head times 10 million heads? I'll betcha it's nefarious, whatever it is.
  5. In her case, that mantra is really profound. Because the only way she gets elected is if voters ignore everything that's happened in the past. Unburdened by all the incompetence that has come before.
  6. I'm not worried at all, since the smartest guy Biden knows is apparently running the staff meetings now.
  7. My fear is that they'll smooth it over by secretly promising her the next open Supreme Court appointment. Which makes it even more important for Repubs to win the down ballot slots, to block confirmation.
  8. Team Biden and the Dem elite must have choked on their cornflakes when one of their own revealed how much their border disaster is costing, just in NYC alone. $12 Billion over 3 years, for just 110K "newcomers". And expected to get worse. Voters can do a little math in their head and cringe at what it must be costing for 10 million of them.
  9. Biden Vows to Return for Second Debate Against Trump Back home, we refer to that as taking another bite out of the same turd.
  10. Despicable as it was, I didn't realize that vandalism of property is a federal crime.
  11. On that, we agree. The Dem elite don't trust their voters with the important decisions. But then, I also think the reason Obama picked Biden for VP instead of HRC is that he wanted to survive his term(s).
  12. Here's where I got that from, rounding up from 89 to 90%. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/18/the-wealthiest-10percent-of-americans-own-a-record-89percent-of-all-us-stocks.html Of course, a lot more people have stock in their portfolio, but normal people entering the job market don't have a portfolio. Yet. And there will always be some trickle down when normal peons buy the same stock as the wealthy (though in minuscule amounts). But make no mistake, the growth in the stock market benefitted the rich under Biden. The rest of us got the crumbs. Tasty crumbs they may have been, but crumbs. Don't get me started on how many Biden IRA Covid bucks went to stock buybacks instead of keeping peons employed. That's a whole 'nother rabbit hole. But another explanation of weak job numbers and strong stock performance.
  13. There's dozens of sanctuary cities just in Cali, NY and Illinois. And Denver's shipping theirs off to Salt Lake City. In spite of being a sanctuary city. You really need to read some non lefty news. https://denvergazette.com/news/immigration/utah-governor-blasts-denver-mayor-for-sending-immigrants-to-salt-lake-city/article_1389c854-2cd3-11ef-9abb-9fee17f2b77a.html
  14. Hey, I was just going by Mayor Adams' claims that NYC needs $12 billion to fund the care and feeding of their 110K illegals. https://www.nyc.gov/office-of-the-mayor/news/650-23/amid-deepening-asylum-seeker-crisis-mayor-adams-new-steps-stabilize-city-s-budget-as#:~:text=“Our city continues to receive approximately 10%2C000 asylum,Fiscal Year 2025 if circumstances do not change.
  15. I'll address the "bipartisan" disaster bill right after you tell me why H.R.2 was passed by the Repub led house, but won't even see debate in the Dem controlled senate. Spoiler alert... The so called "bipartisan" disaster of a bill allowed in 5000 illegals a day and basically funded getting them in quicker. Not to mention $ billions for Ukraine and Israeli, border security, which needed to be addressed separately. The rest of your post has been answered above, and in this thread: https://aseannow.com/topic/1331605-trumps-vision-for-2025-a-sweeping-crackdown-on-immigration/?do=getNewComment
  16. No disrespect intended, but you're living off the nugget you made 10, 20, 50 years ago. You're insulated from the sad reality that today's job entrants are facing. I'm similar. I go shopping for groceries and I may choose chicken instead of beef. Lotsa people the choice is meat, or mac and cheese. Inflation just pisses me off. For a lot of people, it's an existential threat to their ability to buy food and pay rent in the same month.
  17. I'm not sure what mr Impulse is referring to, but maybe it's the ever rising national debt. And in that respect he would be correct. I'd add that around 90% of stocks are owned by 10% of Americans. So that's great for the rich, who have made out even better under Biden than under Trump. But not so good for young people who don't have significant portfolios. Job numbers are great for foreign born workers and part timers. Not so much for US born workers who have almost recovered to pre-Covid Trump era numbers. He claims to have created 15 million jobs, but I don't see them. Economic growth? If you throw $trillions of Biden bucks up against a wall, you're going to see growth. But nowhere close to the increase in the debt that you created. And I'll leave out discussion of the $trillions (and decades) its going to cost to clean up the Biden Border mess, which has its own current thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1331605-trumps-vision-for-2025-a-sweeping-crackdown-on-immigration/page/2/ https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNS12500000 https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/GFDEBTN https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNS12600000 https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNU02073395 https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNU02073413
  18. You mean the low information voters who claimed the laptop was real, Biden's kid was taking money from Ukraine, Joe is "the big guy", and the Hur report was actually being kind in its description of someone incompetent to stand trial?
  19. Even if that were true (and it's not), accommodating 110K of them is expected to cost NYC $12 billion over 3 years. By Adams' own numbers. (linked above) Extrapolate that to dozens of sanctuary cities, border areas that are involuntarily inundated and other cities in all 50 states, and you're talking real money. Which dwarfs the $11.6 billion that Emdog's link claims they pay in taxes. Even Adams knows it's not sustainable.
  20. Going back to the old nonsensical claim that crossing the border illegally doesn't make someone an illegal. If they crossed between legal border crossings, they're illegal. Even if they've been paroled into the USA pending a hearing. Not to mention the millions of gotaways.
  21. I think he was referring to Dr Jill.
  22. Jane, you ignorant slut.... (Old time fans of SNL back when it was still funny will get the reference) Here it is, straight from NYC: New York City has taken urgent action, opening more than 200 emergency shelters for the more than 110,000 migrants who have arrived in the five boroughs seeking shelter. Today, with approximately 10,000 asylum seekers still arriving each month, the city estimates this mounting crisis will cost taxpayers $12 billion over three fiscal years — an amount that will continue to grow without federal and state intervention and support. That's one city, with 110K illegals. Multiply that by dozens of cities in 50 states and 10 million illegals and it dwarfs the taxes in your story. https://www.nyc.gov/office-of-the-mayor/news/650-23/amid-deepening-asylum-seeker-crisis-mayor-adams-new-steps-stabilize-city-s-budget-as#:~:text=“Our city continues to receive approximately 10%2C000 asylum,Fiscal Year 2025 if circumstances do not change.
  23. I admire your energy, wiping down after every shower. I take 10 minutes a couple of times a year to spray with a vinegar/water mix, let it soak for a little bit (depending on how bad it got), then rinse. I take off the faucet tip end screen filters and soak them in straight vinegar for a couple of hours to keep them from clogging (after flushing the sand and other non-dissolvables inherent in any water system) Time required is less than an hour over the course of a year. Plus some soaking time for the screens. But then, I don't run women through my place that I need to impress. If you do, your impeccable hygiene is a good thing.
  24. Gosh, it's almost as if that's by design, to be selective. To invite the best and brightest that can contribute to the economy and not suck the coffers dry staying in tax paid housing, eating tax paid food, and decimating hospital and tax paid healthcare budgets. I miss mean tweets. Well, not really. But you know what I mean.
