  1. Are they wrong? BTW, I can point to a dozen crappier sources without even breaking a sweat.
  2. But I'm sure that truemediabiasfactcheckerreallytrustus.com says they're neutral.
  3. 'Cause XY guys don't do this... Not until recently anyway.
  4. I believe that the standard is that he can decide whether complying would cause irreversible damage. Pissing the money away would be a irreversible. Or, my favorite... Possession is 9/10 of the Law. The money's in his possession (figuratively). He can decide not to dole it out. In any case, he's got better lawyers than the lefties on AN.
  5. I will be surprised if the ruling isn't overturned. It's easy to get a ruling when you shop the venues for an Obama/Biden appointed minor District Judge. Not so easy as it goes up the appeals chain.
  6. Early days. More will be revealed as the kids from DOGE dig deeper.
  7. All the ones paying $8 million for it? Boebert probably didn't even know she had a paid subscription; much less how much it was costing taxpayers. What I'm hearing is that they were pre-installed on gub'ment provided computers when they walked in the door.
  8. That's all well and good. But I'll bet the guy in the OP is wishing he'd rented. And I've met a few guys in similar situation while working in LOS. And these guys weren't dumb, nor noobs. Mostly they got caught out by Land Office corruption and one of them got taken by his wife.
  9. In Thailand, I rarely used fewer than 2 pairs a day, sweating like I do. I'd swap them out after my post dump shower. Here in the cold north, I get a whole day because I sweat less. Still do the post dump shower... Never could get the hang of bum guns without getting my pants wet.
  10. That may be the juiciest part of the whole story. I wonder if he recruited them from any campus protests?
  11. Holey Moley. Rubio's looking to reduce UASID headcount from 14,000 to 294. USAID workers uncertain as lawsuit hits Trump administration over cuts : NPR NPR's not happy, but does that surprise anyone? Maybe they should have hired a few registered Repubs to plead their case.
  12. I absolutely support her decision to be sterilized. But she's not doing team Dem any favors by declaring she did it because of the Bad Orange Man. That just makes her look crazy. And her team, by association.
  13. Profit. Earnings. I'll let you be pedantic... That's what my bonuses were based on. EBITDA. That's what the market used to price our stock, too. If you're going to compare apples with apples, ya gotta choose one or the other. Comparing EBITDA before and after...
  14. Oops. You caught me in an error, copying over a number. My source says it's $2.7 B. Which makes it even more impressive that he's eking out almost twice the profit from about half the revenue. That's efficiency.
  15. That's a good cautionary... But even in the authorized shops in Thailand they charge a lot less than back home. Not a smartphone, but I took a computer in once back home and they charged me $120 just to open it, plus parts and labor. (Told me to come back in a week) I had a laptop motherboard repair done in Fortune Town and they charged me 1000 baht, all in. Had a fried chip that he replaced, (while I watched). I was impressed that he even identified the fault.
  16. The elected President of the USA is challenging the decision by a (minor) District Court judge. That's how it works. They'll sue him and take it to a higher court. It's business as usual. Except it's the Bad Orange Man so lefty panties are all in a wad. And the partisan MSM is in a tizzy. It's funny how they're all using the same half true buzzwords, just like they did during the election.
  17. And Musk isn't getting rid of anything. He's been authorized by the head of the Executive Branch to audit the books and identify dead wood that can be eliminated by the proper authorities within the framework of checks and balances. Of course there will be court challenges. That's all baked in, and the sooner they can work them up the appeals ladder, the better for the American citizenry.
  18. Post back with the response from the supplier. Can you tell if they did a good job anodizing that aluminum? (other than the obvious...) How do their other panels look?
  19. Playboy and Penthouse lied to me for decades? Gravity and time cause boobs (and nutsacks) to sag. Bras (and tidy whities) fight gravity. Every 9th grader knows that.
  20. Lefty talking points. Pushed by CNN, MSDNC and (until recently defunded) Politico.
  21. What surprises (and dismays) me is that the media and lefties seem to claim that Musk is clearing out USAID. He's not. He can't. He's just identifying the deadwood that the proper authorities can clean out, within the system of checks and balances. Of course, it'll all be tested in the courts, but that's all pre-baked into the soup. The sooner the cases move through the appeals process and the high courts decide, the better. But it is fun to watch them stomp their tiny little feet in the meantime.
  22. I thought that was Big Mike. Trump was Prez in 2018.
  23. That's just the special China-only section. On top of normal duty rates. Most of them (China special duties) implemented in 2018. Who was president in 2018? Edit: On an aside, I got a kick out of the HTS codes (and not in a good way). If my suppler described the goods as "spare parts for submersible pumps" there was no duty. If they described the exact same parts as "steel tubes" the duty was horrendous. Customs inspection is a black art. I'm in awe of anyone who can keep it straight.
  24. Once again, you forgot the word "additional". China already gets slapped with special tariffs on (count 'em) 250+ pages of HTS codes. Look to the US HTS web page. Take your No-Doz, because it's a lot of detail.
  25. Thanks for that. After posting the same evidence a dozen times over many threads, I just kind of lost interest in the discussion. Especially now that I can't figure out how to post a clickable link.
