ABC Full Interview Biden in Potential Make-or-Break with Stephanopoulos

I'm just crossing my fingers he lasts through the middle of January. I'd rather have Bernie (either one, Sanders or the dead guy from the movie) than Kackling Kamala. -

It's going to take the USA decades and $$ trillions to fix what Joe has delivered. The sooner Trump gets started, the better.- 60 replies

For years, I experimented with different drinks and combinations, all to no avail. I still got wicked hangovers. Usually after lunch the next day, which deepened the mystery. Why did it take so long to hurl? The hangovers went away completely after I took the oath. Turns out it wasn't the preservatives, or anything like that. It was the alcohol.

Trump's Vision for 2025: A Sweeping Crackdown on Immigration
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I'm 100% for legal immigration and 100% against illegal immigration. By leaving out the word "illegal" in the title, the article shows us its metaphorical butt. -
I'd take a personal recommendation over a Google search, any day of the week.

The left and their Peaceful protests,Violence & Riots

And limited in area and time, as opposed to coast to coast, lasting days and days. -
Has anyone ever looked into buying one of those bigass rafts on the river, as a getaway place to stay in Kanchanaburi. The ones with steel pontoons, covered deck about the size of a hotel room, with a genset and A/C. Not as a commercial (AirBNB) kind of thing. For personal use, and friends who may want to borrow it on weekends. Wondering if it's feasible? It wouldn't have to be in my name. I have several Thai friends that I'd trust, and are probably well connected enough to jump any hurdles related to boating. Of course, mooring fees would be part of the equation, though there's so many of them sitting idle. I can't imagine the fee would be too stiff. Okay... Bash away... Anyone actually tried it?

Zelensky Challenges Trump on War Plans, Decries Weapons Delays
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I don't think that was ever Putin's intent. His initial feint toward Kiev was to convince Zelenskyy to run away to one of his luxury villas around the world. If it hadn't been for the USA and BoJo convincing Zelenskyy to stay and fight, the real estate situation would be exactly the same as it is today, with half a million fewer dead people. And the rebuilding of what's left of Ukraine would be much less extensive, and pretty far along. I'm all for loans to help Ukraine rebuild. Forgiven even, if conditions are met. But not a dime more of my money to perpetuate the killing. -
Deny what? Inflation is still 2.5x what it was when Biden took office (3.5% vs 1.4%), wage growth is only 1.4x what it was (4.7% vs 3.4%), the numbers were upside down for most of Biden's term, and they're looking worse and worse with inflation being stubborn around 3.5% and wage growth decreasing since July of 2022. Are we winning yet?

As opposed to the lefty media and Dems who have been telling us for years that Biden's fine. No, really. He's fine. “Once again, behind closed doors, Joe Biden rides unicycles and juggles knives — he looks real good behind closed doors! Let me tell you that‘s what we‘ve been hearing for three-and-a-half years. These governors are now participants in the biggest cover up in American political history. The condition of Joe Biden has been hidden from us for three-and-a-half years, now these governors are complicit in it. https://dailycaller.com/2024/07/04/scott-jennings-democratic-governors-backing-biden-mental-fitness-concerns-cnn/ That's a quote from a CNN correspondent.

Even if I agree with her in this case, the fact that an unelected, unaccountable individual has that much sway over American gub'ment is rather disturbing.

Zelensky Challenges Trump on War Plans, Decries Weapons Delays
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
70 years ago when Europe was on its knees, it made sense for the USA to carry NATO and subsidize the cost. Today, the Euros are just laughing while we subsidize their defense, 5000 miles away from our borders. While they use their money for their own socialist needs. It doesn't hurt my feelings at all that Trump demands the Euros pay their fair share. They'll pony up before they let NATO fold. That's what you call the art of the deal.- 252 replies

Democrats Turn on Biden's Inner Circle Post-Debate
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
So, you're living off the nugget you made 50 years ago, insulated from the absolute mess the young people have to navigate today. That explains why you'd support politicians that live completely insulated from the mess they've created. You're in the same boat. -

Supreme Court rules Trump is entitled to some immunity in Jan. 6 case
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yeah, I quit playing dueling links. Partly because it's a rigged game with 10x as many registered Dems in journalism as registered Repubs. But mostly because if pointing someone in a direction doesn't pique their curiosity, why should I bother? I gave him plenty of information to go down the rabbit hole. Plus, the usual lefty response is that "you can't trust that source" because yet another leftist website posing as an unbiased fact checker says the source leans right and is unreliable. What they really mean is that the source isn't as far left as they are, and it often disagrees with them. Because the "fact checkers" hire from the same pool of lefty journalists. -

I'm just the opposite. I'm a Biden detractor and I don't care at all whether Hunter goes to prison on the gun charge. It's a bit of a nuthin' burger and delays and detracts from his upcoming cases that actually may implicate the sitting president. Or maybe not. But let's play fair and get the subpoenas and the testimony in before election day...
