  1. I have never understood the premium pricing model for the Minis or the Smart Cars.
  2. I think that's a bit of a red herring. Part of the reason they're depreciating is that the technology is coming along so rapidly, and the cost of manufacturing is coming down. So this year, you can get a better car, for less money than last year. That's hardly bad news for the EV market. It may be bad news for early adopters, who may (or may not) have been willing to spend more money to be on the bleeding edge. But it was the same with solar, and with computers and with microwaves and with big screen TV's and...and... I feel for the buyers who got caught in the hype, not realizing they were buying an 80386 when the Intel I7s were just a few years away. Or paid $5,000 for a 50" flat screen TV. Which may have seemed like a bargain at the time.
  3. The polls were conducted using the anal extraction method. They pulled numbers out of their butts, weeks ago when they launched the coup.
  4. It's not so difficult, if you take the vote in the Obama mansion in an invitation only meeting.
  5. Funny how she amassed enough delegates to secure the nomination, when not a single vote was cast for her. So who's the threat to democracy?
  6. No new wars. But there were mean tweets. Lefties seem to think hurt feelings are even worse than wars.
  7. It's being described as a soft coup from the inside. And that's probably a fair characterization.
  8. Anyone else pondering the irony that it was Biden's own hubris that doomed him? Had he not challenged Trump to the debate, he'd still be in his basement campaigning. Rookie error. From a 50 year veteran. I guess he just couldn't help himself.
  9. I'm standing in solidarity with the guy that called an idiot an idiot. But if it's a black idiot, a Jewish idiot, or an LGBT idiot, the race card or the anti- Semitic card or the other phobia card comes out, to enforce compliance. Or else...
  10. The tats, I'm ambivalent. But what's with the huge lips that seem so popular? There's hundreds of female influencers, and they all have the same ugly lips.
  11. Apparently, they don't know anything. They just tell you to ask the FBI. They're the Sgt Schultz of alphabet agencies. Edit: I remember when they were two of the most respected agencies in the world. It's sad.
  12. You figure Biden selling off the materials to fill the gaps, at scrap prices, was a good idea?
  13. I am 100% for increasing the legal path. But we need to know who they are.
  14. I understand he called into an event to support Kamala, but his voice was raspy and there were questions whether it was a deep fake.
  15. Right now, there's questions whether the guy's even alive. Just for national security, he needs to provide proof that he is. That's not a vanity thing. It's a national security thing. If he's too sick to do a Zoom call, where was the transfer of power? Who is running the country?
  16. I don't guess you've looked at the maps and the data they published? I've never encountered a group that was so determined to stay ignorant by refusing to even look at anything that the MSM didn't spoon feed them.
  17. Out of a total of 4000, they examine 7 cases. And they expect us to believe it's a representative sample, much less a fair assessment? C'mon man.
  18. So, economic migrants. Not asylum seekers.
  19. It was a legitimate question. She's neither the president, nor the candidate. What was she accepting?
  20. They have these wonderful new inventions called web cams. Even people with Covid can communicate with the outside world.
  21. Hmmm... A trend? Southwest flight drops to about 500 feet over Oklahoma suburb, triggers alert: 'You good?' The incident is the second altitude-related incident at Southwest in just over two months being investigated by FAA. Southwest Flight 2786 flight plunged to 400 feet above the Pacific Ocean near a Hawaiian island on April 11, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed Monday. https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/airline-news/2024/06/21/southwest-airlines-plane-plunges-oklahoma-city-faa/74167295007/
  22. The article is, at best, disingenuous. It mentions the results of several studies, but doesn't mention the results of the NL study that supports her position. Holds her out as having nothing... Here's a decent summary, with some good follow on links. This is the statement that caught my eye: Another recent study, published in Finland earlier this year, found that providing adolescents with transgender drugs or surgeries did not provide any statistically significant reduction in suicide deaths. Rather, the study found that higher rates of suicide appear to be rooted in the high rate of mental health comorbidities among youths who identify as transgender. https://ewtn.co.uk/article-study-from-netherlands-most-children-outgrow-transgender-inclinations/ I'd add that I'm not a fan of her work. Not a detractor, but it holds no appeal to me.
