I was led to understand as the house was in my name, the land in my Wife's. Therefore, she could not sell the land from under me, as I had a right to live in the house as per a userfruct. However, on closer examination, I have discovered that in Thai law under clauses 1469, governing property between spouses, the Court can nullify the userfruct as a division of the assets.

I think it was more a case of a fee to speed up the process. We had our selling agent there, and we were hustled from one desk to another. In and out, all done in less than one hour.

Yes it is, We did it several years ago in Hua Hin. I know it is valid as we sold the property last year, and I had to sign a paper in the land office, and pay something around 1500 B to have it nullified.

They do in our village, and surrounding areas. The problem is, and they always tell me, is that the Government has the guns.

Yeh, sure, can anyone believe that they will start paying for hospital treatment for tourists. AND, if they do, will the Government be charged the grossly inflated Farang rates, or local rates. It is ALL going into the certain banks of a few at the trough.

It cannot be included in the ticket. How will airlines put up with the extra work to see if a passenger is eligible to pay, or not. It must be paid at immigration.

The letter for the Driving licence from Immigration is 1,000 Baht in a seaside town about 250 km from Bangkok 0n the way down to Surat Thani....

You need an IDP along with your licence.

Wrong, it is a permit, yes, but it is required if you are staying a short time. It is valid for one year, but only three months at a time, any longer and you need a Thai licence.

Agree 100%, but what is worse is that another member posted a thread called lack of freedom of expression.
