Well touche, Franz sounds like quite the expert on the matter. He is correct that if you already meet the ID requirements then there are no "changes need to make" and your account will automatically transition to PayPal Thailand in March 2022. In regards to as you normally use it though, almost everyone on this thread seem to agree with me that even already verified personal accounts will not be able to hold a balance or receive payments once it is transitioned to the "New PayPal Thailand". This is in line with all the other "anti money laundering" steps Thailand has and is taking recently. I don't know why you keep engaging with me though, it's obvious that neither of us will be able convince the other. And trust me, I find the current PayPal Thailand very convenient for me the way it is and I'd love for you to be correct but unfortunately, that just doesn't seem to be the case. I guess we will find out for sure next year though ????

Wow, carry on believing what you wish to be true but I literally quoted you two direct statements from PayPal's own site that specifically says that existing personal or unregistered business accounts that have not gone through the KYB process created before March 2021 will NOT be able to hold a balance or receive payments after February 2022. Yes if they are verified, personal and unregistered accounts that have not gone through the KYB process will still be "valid" and automatically converted to the NEW PayPal Thailand which basically only lets you shop at stores that accept PayPal. That's what the link, again from PAYPAL's own site, says. If you want yet another source that you will not read and ignore and continue to believe what you want regardless, https://www.dailynews.co.th/news/449244/ literally says at the top: The end of the freelance line? Paypal Thailand has released a new policy. People can't 'suspend money'.... "Paypal Thailand releases new policy for general users, no longer able to 'hold money' in their accounts...." Keep believing what you wish and good luck with your account after February 2022.

It's quoted in the first post but you can see yourself from this link: https://www.paypal.com/th/webapps/mpp/thailand-relaunch-faq Note, holders of PayPal personal accounts or business accounts that are not registered business in Thailand will not be able to receive payments or hold a PayPal balance in PayPal Thailand. Will there be changes to my account after the relaunch of PayPal Thailand? Yes, there will be some changes. * See details below: PayPal personal accounts will not be able to hold a balance or withdraw funds.

If you're not a registered business in Thailand that has passed the KYB verification, you will not be able to receive payments or hold a balance in your personal account, verified or not, after February 2022. Looks like PayPal in Thailand is basically becoming useless. Thailand is pushing hard with their anti-money laundering stuff lately so this is just in line with everything else they are doing like making TrueWallet harder to use for foreigners.

I think he only has an issue with the one pointing right at the pool, loungers. Would you want some falang in the UK flogging the dolphin to your wife in a bikini sitting by the pool? I hope the villas I stayed at didn't have cameras pointed at the pool with the stuff I got up to with the girlfriend.

I would do it, the <deleted> piece of paper certificate they gave me won't last a month.

Mastercard/Visa Debit card works fine with Netflix. Or buy the cards at 7-11, it's the same price either way. Since Bangkok Bank blocked all international transactions after all those people lost money, I had to buy a Netflix e-gift card on amazon and renew my membership using a VPN which cost me a few bucks more than it does in Thailand but I rarely go to 7-11 and didn't want to make a special trip just for that.

Please help with this meter reading/ bill :-)
Ohyesuare replied to WanderingGoat's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
Just think of it as units as the other person said and not kwh. Always check the meter yourself and take your own photos, it's a little strange the first picture is so blurry and the second is crystal clear. If the person renting to you rents more than 5 units, it's illegal to charge more than the government rate but who is gonna fight that over 700 baht. -
If you're talking about the one I'm thinking about, he was on the tourist police as well and owned PattayaOne news. You can see him in a few eps of that show Big Trouble in Tourist Thailand which didn't last for obvious reasons.

Not even that, unfortunately.

Do they help you with the visa? -
Definitely not true. Probably will need a PCR test taken within 72 hours to get on the flight though along with his vaccination certificate.

Thailand Pass Is Up And Running
Ohyesuare replied to ubonjoe's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I would just upload the 2. They're not gonna test your blood and deny you entry because you're too protected. -
Updated Thailand pass rollout
Ohyesuare replied to raptorea's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Was just a suggestion because I know the ones in Bangkok for 5-6k include the one (or two depending on your time of arrival) night, test and pickup from the airport etc... As we know, these things tend to not always be ready and running smoothly right on the first day. Always best to wait at least a week or two after the launch if you have that option. -

The test is included in the prepaid AQ/SHA+ one night package, maybe that's what is confusing you?
