Part of being in the military was security. As the Security NCO of many a unit, it was my enjoyment to find people like you that did not do the job and hang them. As to insurance I take it that you do not come here very often nor have noticed the number of Brits that are crying the blues because their insurance does not cover what they THOUGHT it did. As to a will, the fact that your lawyer is doing what you are paying him to do should make you happy. I am sure while you don't GAFF the people that you leave things to will be very thankful.

Social media drama over the pulling the wig off an LGBTQ celebrity

WOFTR At least they cold have been good looking. -
UTN PPP both have the same problem. They are funded by the OLD MONEY rich that do not want any threat to their control. including the guy that is super rich. Will there be big changes in the government if the PT gets in well history says no not really. Under the PT last time there was still corruption. It was still set in place that the rich members of te party benefitted. Education did not improve It just seemed that the poor were getting more. It will be interesting to see who is in power on the 1st of July after all the court cases and counting recounting.

Thai courts should be involved if there is a case against the person and there is reasonable thought that they are guilty. If not the corruption that we see continues. Yes the people should have their say but they need to be educated and understand that politicians make promises but that does not mean they will carry them out. PT for instance has said "if we win the majority" we will give everyone 10,000 baht raise in the minimum wage and ensure that every BA grad gets min 25k a month. The catch is if we win the majority. That does not mean if we are the government it means that hey would have to win 50% plus 1 of the seats and the way this election and past elections have gone that is not likely. So their out is simply we did not win the majority of seats so even though we are in power we do not have to honour our promises.

Would the next government be kinder to migrants and refugees?
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Those immigrants are mostly on work visa. The challenge is the people that are coming over the border to escape the government in their country. Look at the U.S. and it's open border and the amount it is costing taxpayers. Look at the U.K. and the number of immigrants that try to get into the country and are successful. As to workers, I actually think that if you stopped the immigrants from coming in and working cheaply that a lot of Thais would be forced to get jobs, and Businesses might be forced to pay higher wages. -
There is o likelihood of the accident if you are safe and take care of yourself. How many people here would go out on a wood balcony in this country at a hotel? how many would drive on a scooter late a night with no helmet? How many of us go for walks at night in places like =Khao Toa As to hospital prices, they are cheaper than in any other Western country the difference is for Brits and Canucks at least they expect their government health care to cover it. If you look at the inflated costs, it is not so much the health care as the repatriation that raises the cost, and I am sure that most of the people involved are not shopping and looking for a deal from Thai to UK but talking to UK companies. Bottom line is Have a set of questions ready before you get the insurance. When they answer, you have them, show you where it says what you want it to say Ask about exclusions a. read the whole document. Don't do stupid things If it is illegal to drive a bike without a helmet in the UK what makes you think they will cover you if you do it in Thailand. If you are sick do not go to HHISO hospitals go to mid-range. Learning to drive a scooter by renting one here is a stupid idea.

Would the next government be kinder to migrants and refugees?
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You know I find this POOR ME i AM A TOURIST, AND I AM SOOO HARD DONE BY. As to the topic of the post, there is not a whole lot that Thailand can do. Yes, you want to be nice to refugees but if your think opening the doors works just look at San Francisco. The country has to pay for the refugees and look after them. In order to do that they would have to find the extra money which would mean taxing Thais or cutting their benefits. -
Thaksin has NOT been involved. He has been and still is the leader of the PT. In actuality, it would be interesting to see if the PT was taken to court because of his involvement. I am sure the parties are looking at this. Even if he comes back, he will probably be put in home arrest in one of his palaces. With a direct line to his daughter so that she can make decisions. That was Yingluck's problem. She needed a direct line to big brother. Thaksin is the old guard and is a bad choice. If you want to change the direction and get away from corruption, then a convicted Corruption expert should not be your leader. They have put the Dem party to the bench now, the people need to put the PT away so that they can get rid of the old parties.

Hopefully not. As much as he probably deserves one at this level he has a keen eye for what is happening and is more involved -
A little advise needed...
kingstonkid replied to BillStrangeOgre's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you are going to be in and out why not get a 3-month tourist visa. Seems that would solve all your problems and it is not tht hared to get I am told. -
They have done this or something like it every election. Tablet for every student 200000 baht tax refund to buy a new car ( might have been DEMS) rice plan loans for farmers So far the PT promises are interesting 600 baht minimum wage 25,000 baht minimum monthly wage by 2027 25000 monthly wage guarantee for BA holders (even those working at Rotten Ronnies and Starbuck.) now 10000 baht for every thai so that they can spend it and make the rich richer.

Another outlet would be School of Art Lat Krabang or Slipakorn university.

The answer to your question is simple. How would you feel riding a scooter with her on the back or walking down the street hand in hand? Had the same thing asked about dating strippers in Ottawa. The answer is simple look at the reaction of people when you walk into the room together. There is a certain amount of pride. Some will wonder some will drool some will get hit by their wives. LOL When asked where she works she simply says customer relations at an office in Saladeng.

British tourist smashes up Bangkok 7-Eleven (video)
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
fRONT PAGE MIRROR NEWSPAPER Young Englishman held against his will (insert pic with football jersey and clean kid smile) __________ area lad held in Thailand for shopping at 7/11. Family told trying to contact son but are unable to. British Embassy declined to get involved other than to inform his parents of his detention. (insert name of knob) was looking for something to eat at 7/11 late at night as he needed a snack. The staff of the store left the store and locked him in and refused to open the door for him. Thai police were called and (insert name of knob) was arrested and is remanded to Thai custody without bail. A GOFUNDME page has been established so that his parents can afford a Thai lawyer and air and hotels for his dad to go see him for moral support. The total needed is 80,000 pounds so dad and son can stay in a reasonable hotel while this gets rectified and the son is allowed to leae the country -
the big question I have is where are they getting the price UK or Thailand? There is not need for visas for the flight crew or medical staff as it would be a turnaround flight. There are companies that specalize in this. my question though is why do they not know if he had a helmet on. If he was wearing one it should have been on his head or at least at the accident scene. The other thing that of course, the Brit newspaper does not cover is the blood alcohol content. I feel sorry for him and his family but hae a hard time understanding why he was on a bike looking for food in the middle of the night. It is also interesting that nothing was mentioned in the Thai news about his accident or are they that common now that they are not reported.

It's a great idea but who's going to decide what stores to buy iu and close. Also as stated there's a problem with Access. I would suggest traffic ???? and police in selected areas is the best solution. The other if course would be speed bumps. There are intersection where streets meet beach road perfect location for lights
