Friendly Borders?
mrwebb8825 replied to mockingbird's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why not just fly to HCMC and apply for the retirement visa? About the same price as all the visa run groups but no long rides. Keep in mind the 800k in the bank requirement unless you can prove 65k a month in income. -
Just get all your docs in order and go 30 days before your current stay expires (Feb 27?). That should give you 45-ish days before your flight out. IF you need to leave before they stamp your approved extension AND you don't need to physically hold your passport, you COULD over-night it to your wife and she can collect your new stamp and over-night it back to you. Just a thought.

To obtain any visa from an embassy or consulate you must present a reason - when the reason becomes invalid, so does the visa (students that don't study, retirees that work, married persons whom are no longer married, tourists that get a job). I would bet dollars to donuts that if his ex took the divorce papers down to the local IO they would soon pay him a visit. -

Technically valid but no longer legal and can put the OP in a world of hurt if discovered by an anonymous (ex) tip. -
Depending on how much space you need, have a look at Regent Home 27/28. Has MRT (Bang Son) at the entrance, bus stop across the street and at the entrance, daily street market 2 - 3 blocks down. Rent is 7-9k and some for sale at around 1.2m. ETA: Courtesy shuttles from the street back in the the 2 complexes (being set back reduces traffic noise)

Airline refunded me to much for unused ticket!

Don't know how close you are to "Swampy" (the airport) but you might take a ride out there, go to the Emerites desk and ask for a supervisor. Take copies of everything from the beginning and see what they say. Could be she/he'll just cancel it in the computer right then and there. Heck, you might even end up with a voucher towards your next flight. ???? Had a similar experience with United being operated by JAL, went to the JAL desk and got an upgrade with lounge access and a free hotel with food vouchers from United. ???? Sometimes the employees are on your side. -
Rechargeable battery for shaver...where in Pattaya?
mrwebb8825 replied to thoengthaied's topic in Pattaya
Just spit-balling here but, IF it were me, I'd try calling the toll-free replacement ordering number listed ON the battery. ???? -
My guess would be that payments would need to be made by her as you're not her "employer", but the best advice would be to check with the SS office directly. Manila handles Thailand. ( [email protected] )

Maybe check TOPS and FoodLand.

Me too and I got groped several times by schoolgirls and late-night beach goers still in bikinis. Not 1 of them offered me money afterwards though. ???? Since no one has asked, where's the CCTV footage that is always posted to back-up the story? Where's the re-enactment? Where's the mandatory finger point photo?

How to change old 50 pound to baht in thailand
mrwebb8825 replied to playboy's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
current rates: 1.00GBP = $1.16USD If you have any paper £20 or £50 notes, we encourage you to use them or deposit them with your bank or Post Office before 30 September 2022. As paper notes are returned to the Bank of England, they are being replaced with the new polymer £20 notes featuring JMW Turner, and polymer £50 notes featuring Alan Turing. After 30 September, only our polymer notes will have legal tender status. What to do with paper notes after 30 September Once the 30 September 2022 deadline has passed, you will no longer be able to use Bank of England paper notes in shops or use them to pay businesses. After this date, many UK banks will accept withdrawn notes as deposits from customers. Some Post Offices may also accept withdrawn notes as a deposit into any bank account you can access with them. The Bank of England will always exchange any withdrawn notes, including paper notes we have withdrawn in the past. I'm heading to America tomorrow. I'll give you $5 apiece for them but you'll need to bring them to BKK today. -
there's a mental image I could have happily lived without for the rest of my life. ????

Border hop agencies
mrwebb8825 replied to JoseThailand's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
re-entry permits are for folks with real visas and extensions for valid reasons that wish to exit and return for fun or business. this thread's for the return of the gamers. -
They're still open in Japan too.

Put a meter on it and turn on all your breakers and switches. If it's hot then it's probably a "Switch leg" for a light or fan and should be capped off. If it it's hot, it may still be a "switch leg" but not connected in the wall box.

Showing Covid Vaccination Status
mrwebb8825 replied to WalsallRobbo's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP - About that extension; you DO know that we're 1 calendar day ahead here, right? So, when you say you're leaving on the 2nd are you leaving on the 2nd here or the 2nd there because while it's the 2nd here it COULD be the 1st there and if you waited until the 2nd there it COULD be the 3rd here and depending on when you fly you could leave on the 3rd there but arrive on the 4th here which would then stamp you in until the 3rd here which COULD still be the 2nd there. ???? Have a nice day.
