it it Incongruent for Thailand to open its borders now?
mrwebb8825 replied to In Full Agreement's topic in General Topics
Since Thailand has suffered such a huge financial loss due to covid lockdown, border closures and travel restrictions, I propose they restart (on a limited basis) the multi-entry "border jumper special" visa/extension practice BUT, charge a 10,000 thb exit fee. Just line up at the border, passport in 1 hand, cash in the other, drop, stamp and on your way. Of course, this will need to be coordinated and coupled with a "Fee For Private Opening" of Thai consulates where you arrive, line up, passport in 1 hand, cash in the other, drop, deny, return, rinse and repeat 2x and on your way back to the border. Now, for reentry ideas.... -
Extend visa at police station
mrwebb8825 replied to Tayida's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes OP - Yes of course you can. The RTP will also be glad to help with overstay issues. I highly recommend anyone on overstay to head to their closest police station to get this matter cleared up. Lines are MUCH shorter too. Here's your sign ???? -
There are plenty of people in my family that smoke(d). Many have died. (that's pretty much how life ends) Only 2 younger than 80+ including the nonsmokers. Quitting smoking adds 10 years to your life but it adds them to the end where you're rolling around in a chair, drooling and pooping your pants. I like my family a little more than that so I think I'll keep enjoying my life while upright and coherent. To OP - Local shop operators around here (7/11, Max Value, Mom & Pop) all say waiting on new tax - They're all pretty much buying and stocking what they believe they can sell in 2-3 days. (I'm in BKK) CP owned 7/11's know you'll be back whether they stock while waiting or not so don't really care about lost revenue.

Round trip plane ticket required?
mrwebb8825 replied to sdweller's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You should just buy a VR Headset and a box of condoms. Updatable and reusable (except the condoms). No lines, no visas, no hassles. ???? -
Will I be required to leave Thailand
mrwebb8825 replied to STD Warehouse's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This is probably the 1st time in a yr I can say, "Too bad you're not American". Went to the embassy and applied for and received a 1 year, emergency passport in about an hour. An actual, trimmed down version of a full 10 yr passport with around 6 pages for stamp transfer and extension entry. ???? -
Matter of confusion; I have a drop down menu listed as "Wallet" on Binance.com and use it to see Fiat-Spot where it shows my coins and current crypto money BUT I don't seem to have a "wallet" so I added the extension to get a wallet on Binance Smart Chain. Then I added SHIB and BNB to the platforms and both show 0$ even though they're not 0$ on Binance.com.

only reason I can think of that a school would push for you to change is they can do a WP for a Non-B by messenger. Last WP I had on my Non-O extension required my wife to come and we needed our marriage cert. Seems the labor dept. sees working on a Non-O as a way to get around an immigration check. IMHO

Any alternative to hard dry dog food?
mrwebb8825 replied to Kenny202's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
you really want cheap, all-natural dining for your dog? Raise rabbits, chickens, squirrels and cats. Turn 1 loose every day in a large cage and teach your dog to kill. -
He may be implying that it would be nice for a change to visit those very places without stepping in raw sewage spills or sticking to the sidewalk as you walk by.

So, tell us, do you still taste your "Mate" that was balls-to-chin deep in that "Hot Girl's" mouth the night before when kissing her? Do you picture his hairy <deleted> hovering in front of her face as you're going in for that kiss? Do you ever feel the occasional pubic hair lodged in a back molar tickling your tongue or she "different"? ????????

I hope very soon. Those poor poor ladyboy gangs, scam artists and jet ski mafia operators have been in such dire straits trying to find people to rob, beat up and rip off. How will those beach chair/umbrella hawkers realize the 1,000% profit they were promised by the "Public Beach" mafia that "rented" them state owned property? It truly breaks my heart to think about the entire line of knock-off, fake Rolex watch makers, shippers and peddlers being starved out of existence. I do so long for the days of yore when tuk-tuk drivers entertained prospective passengers with random machete fights and gang beat downs of the occasional drunk tourist that refused them an extra 10 baht. And OMG!, What's that smell? Is that Air?!? Where's the motor fume filled airways we have all come to love and adore that goes so hand-in-hand with the pristine beach and never ending road construction? Aw, but I'm just preaching to the choir, aren't I?

"Other" - Only open the islands to tourists - No car rentals, No taxis, No tuktuks, No motorbikes for rent or taxi service and No leaving the island unless being shuttled back to the airport to go home. Bicycle rentals for the healthy and adventurous and 20-30 electric shuttle buses circling the island running 24/7. Open all businesses on the islands and let them party til they puke. Quarantined shuttle service from the airport to the island of choice and back to the airport with a big smile and "Thank-you" for your money.

Ministries say some schools to reopen November 1st
mrwebb8825 replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Thailand News
A possible solution for a country as small as Thailand with built-in heard mentality could be along the lines of the "Kids Parties" and bring all grades to school, 1 level at a time, for 2 solid weeks and purposely expose them to covid. House them there for the full 2 weeks and let nature run it's course. All kids would be naturally immune within 24 weeks and could resume life as normal. In the meantime, use all the vax shots on the community with a focus on the parents. I've seen small community vax points set up in a couple of the small sois where the med units set up chairs, computer with wi-fi, were rounding up the neighbors and vaxing them, returning a month or so later and repeating the process. ETA: They do this already (for those about to flame the idea) with lower grades called "Scouting Week" and older kids to play soldier. It'd be like controlled boarding school. Even parents with 4 kids at different levels would only be locked down watching their kids for 8 weeks. Beats the heck out of being locked down for another year. -
Sorry but find it amusing that your sig is "You can't cure stupid" and seeing you mutilate the spelling of an icon "Startrek" ????
