  1. Years ago I read here from a poster that just opened up a bank account with a Bangkok Bank branch in Bangkok. About two weeks later I went to try and open up an account at that bank and the teller said I needed something from Immigration, I cannot remember exactly what it was. I said to the teller that this bank opened up an account for a farang about two weeks ago. I was then told "Oh! We have a new manager now. Says it all really. Give a Somchai a bit of power and Well! There you go.
  2. OK. Anyone else able to get to Lazada's chatline and speak to a real person, I mean now, not in the past as I have done that several times before. Not a virtual, but a real chatline, and not a phone call. Am I the only person who can't?
  3. I think that would be a real waste of time no matter when you try it.
  4. This is a bit off topic but I will go ahead. There are shops in Scotland with this notice out side "Everything under £25". Above the notice in very small words in dark lettering. "Almost Everything".
  5. Yes, I cannot see where you will get a real person if there is no one there.
  6. How long ago was this? Try it now and let me know how you get on.
  7. Yes, same as Lazada, Lazada used to have a real person, now what they have is what they call a virtual chatline, you can only get answers to their chatline, you are not able to ask them a question, as you would a real person.
  8. Who was in charge of the country between "the coup that never was" in 2014 and 2017? Maybe it was the unelected PM's sleeping partner.
  9. Yes, but just check the fee's of any agent before you use them. They can differ by thousands of Baht, I know through experience. But the majority of agents are fine.
  10. All that lot looks like a load of unnecessary hassle. TiT.
  11. I am sure the unelected soldiers and medical profession will soon find someway to screw the ordinary person as they made a fortune out of the pandemic.
  12. See what I mean when I said he hasn't got the brains to cover anything up, why did he say he trusted the court. Surely he should have kept his mouth shut.
  13. My endorsement then is the same as it is now. No country in the world should ever have a government who is not voted in by the majority of the country's population.
  14. The only reason they will be impossible to remove is because they have the soldiers, tanks and guns.
  15. The ordinary Thai people voted for these soldiers????
  16. "Meanwhile , Prawit seen walking angrily around government house muttering to himself." Except when he is sleeping. ????
  17. I do not know much about Taksin Shinawatra when he was PM, I do know about his reputation regarding corruption, and how popular he was with the poor up in Isaan, but I would say he sure knew what he was doing as the Thai PM who was elected in a general election by the Thai people. Prayut being an "unelected" PM was like picking the first Somchai off the street and giving him the Job. He proved time and time again that he did not know what he was doing, given that he was educated at a Military Academy. Their IQ's would probably have been similar.
  18. I remember a few times in my younger days when I queued in a restaurant for my food then couldn't find an empty table, so I sat down on a seat at another table to be told by someone else there that I was taking someone's seat. I just replied "yes and that someone is behind me in the queue". No one ever argued.
  19. OK sorry. Energy Companies. Oh! Wait?? Is that not a lot of companies? ????
  20. Capitalism is the scourge of this world, and that human greed is why 85% of the world live in poverty. The electricity and gas industry in the UK is only one example of that.
  21. So they would be better just sitting in their car or office waiting for a call instead of being on the beat and ready for any action, and making people feel safer. They have their radio's and are in contact with their office, who in turn are in contact with other officers on the beat or patrolling in their cars. There is a place for having both officers on the beat and in their cars.
