  1. Here is the link to VFS - http://www.vfsglobal...thai/index.html

Your friends friend will need to provide proof that they are allowed to stay in the Netherlands, passport page, letter of invitation and a few other things.

Your friend (the one traveling) will need to provide proof of sufficient funds. The Swiss Embassy used the ball park figure of 100CHF per day when my wife applied, which is about 3400baht.

Thanks for that reply. I will digest and pass the information on :)

  2. A Thai friend wishes to go to Holland for a 3 week holiday.

What does she need to do to get a visa for a holiday in the Netherlands?

Does she need to show proof of finances etc? If so, how much money?

Can her Thai friend in Amsterdam vouch for her?

    Her situation is this :-

She has a friend who already lives in Amsterdam.

She has been to Hong Kong and other places abroad but not to Europe.

She will have a return flight booked.

She will stay at her friends house so no hotel bills.

Thanks for any help on this.

  3. In the bar last night one of the cashier staff had made a passing remark about too much Yabba in Pattaya. Too many crazy people about now.

When you look at the size of this single bust it makes you wonder just how much is getting through for sale on the streets.

Robberies up, shootings and gun crime seeming to be on the increase too. It does pose a warning to be a little more careful out there and not to get into any confrontations because you do not know who you might be dealing with.

In saying that, I still go out, but simply take more care. The party has to go on!!

  4. I have lived by the sea for most of my life and do not see a real problem with people walking around with no shirt on during the daytime. You pop into a shop to buy an ice cream, a bottle of pop, water or a newspaper and it is no problem at all. Walking down the street, on a bus no problem. Sitting at a seaside bar with no shirt on? No problem either.

Going to the bank, doing the weekly shop, into a mall or similar. Wear a shirt. Going for a night out, wear a shirt.

I am not slim but even I am sometimes taken aback by the sheer size of some fat men here who must really must have to fumble around to find their dick beneath those massive stomachs when going for a piss.

To see these huge overhangs wobbling down the street with no top on is very off-putting. Some need to lean backwards to stop themselves from toppling forward and that pushes their massive protrusions out even further. sick.gif

What is just as bad are those women with sags down to their navels and wrinkles, walking around in bikinis or bathing suits. The same has to go for those huge women with too little on and too much wobbling flesh on show.sick.gif

A wee bit of common sense and some pride should tell these people what to wear.

A young, slim man or woman walking about with less clothing seems much more natural.

  5. dudes let me tell you something, i am not a regular guy with office job, i have a university degree, been working in the office only 9 months, then my internet marketing just took off. I have been travelling the world for the last 7 years, working from beach in bali, kuala lumpur appartment, london house, geneve appartment, los angeles hotel, vegas hotel

so i move a lot, am very flexible and i cant decide quick, the guy that decides quick usually looses money, so you need to ask, ask and ask to be sure you are doing the right thing.

i am sure lots of you would switch places with me and do your job from hotel room, working 2 hours per day from laptop rather than working 10 hours day shift from office and throwing your life away

some people are dummies and loose money because they dont ask around. that is the main problem

    just my 50 bhts

A Uni degree and you cannot even spell loser or lose?

if you even thought - just a little - about renting a condo / house to someone else you might realise there are liable to be problems.

You are out of the country

    The tenant dies.

    There is a water leak.

Some items break down etc. etc.

    The rent is not paid.

The tenant trashes the apartment and leaves with no notice.

What do you do when these problems need fixing?

All of these and similar scenarios need common sense. Ah, but that might be a problem with your Uni education :P

  6. I think I'll take the dog for a walk, or should I let him go on his own.

This topic is far too exciting to take the dog out. Let him go out alone and find a lady soi dog while you watch this stimulating topic.

At least the dog would be happy ;)

  7. Sounds like domination by the Tom to me too. I have met Toms here that can be very aggressive in their attitude and approach to either a broken relationship or in acquiring a new one.

At the end of the day it is down to the male partner of the g/f / wife to sit down and discuss what she wants. Once a decision has been made it is then up to the pair of them to stick by that.

If the g/f / wife is not vehement in her rejections of further sexual and physical advances from the Tom, the man has his answer. Then it is up to him to either join in, capitulate or walk away and take his money with him.

p.s. ....... at least join in a couple of times before you go :P

  8. When you use a credit card at an exchange booth like the one at BigC on Pattaya Thai, does it make a difference to the FX rates whether you ask for Thai Baht of £ sterling?

I am asking because I have not done it this way before.

    Thanks.

  9. The main problem in this thread is the OP stated he is in his mid 20's and this forum is mostly populated by 60+ pensioners.

Obviously their comments refer to the experience of a "mature" person dating a much younger lady.

Maybe TV should set up a section for seniors and one for younger people ?

Common sense has nothing to do with age. You either have it or you do not.

A 20 year old idiot is no less an idiot than a 60 year old idiot. A young fool listening to the demands of this type of woman is no less a fool than an older person doing the same.

Yes maturity shows because many of us have been there and done that.

  10. That is one hell of an expensive shag (or two).

Think how many different women you could have for that sort of money.

And if you are not trolling, you really do need to see a shrink for even considering that amount of money.

Do they have good institutions for the insane here in Thailand?

  11. I am what I am. I am who I am. I have my faults as do you.

I do NOT have to prove myself to anyone as long as I am happy within myself and with my conscience.

Do I really care how others see me? Not really. Take me as I am - or not. I cannot change now.

  12. TOT was down for me this morning. Fine again this afternoon.

Maybe May Day holiday yesterday caused problems for today? Seems they have problems during holiday days and rectify them the next day.

  13. Why the megabus much cheaper that national express bus?

I find same travel time about 1hr 50 mins, but less than half price for megabus

    Is it bad?

They charge extra for luggage or not?

You know, like airssia low cost airline smile.png

Megabus is on-line booking. lower overheads.

  14. I will get pounds here
