I have to agree with Trump on this one. TikTok is very invasive malware, even when compared to the likes of Facebook.

This case has really exposed to the world the corruption and unbelievable lies that the Thai populous has to put up with from officialdom.

Aren't all these Thai traveler's spending money?
Fully booked hotels how is there such a loss?
Not the best journalism. The Thai travellers came in droves over the long weekend (although it was not full according to Agoda). But during the week and regular weekends, I doubt they will be full. No speedboats arriving with Russians and Chinese from Pattaya either.

Whats the speed limit on that soi where this accident occured?
Why has the fleeing an accident scence charge been dropped?
Is it not a crime to operate a vehicule while under the influence?
Fleeing to avoid prosecution isnt that a crime?
They have more than enuff broken laws to charge this guy with.
Whatever the speed limit is/was, it certainly wasn't 177kph, which is what the expert scientifically estimated his speed as.

Dear Thai Police,
Please stop embarrassing the Kingom of Thailand and it's people. Your incredulous claims are completely unbelievable, and your continued propagation of fabrications are doing untold damage to the country's reputation.
Yours sincerely,
Everyone

Ford Ranger Raptor if your looking for the best handling (thanks to Fox performance suspension front and rear) , and assuming use is primarily not as a farm workhorse or carrying 5,000kgs of pineapples.
Otherwise I would go for the brand new Toyota Revo Rocco.

There spotty service in rural areas might have something to do with it. At least that's the reason I changed back to AIS. No regrets.

It'd be nice to see a non-Chinese competitor to Tik-Tok that isn't essentially malware.

Open the gates, and they will come. Yeah, nah. It's not that simple. Firstly you've got all the daft rules at this end. Secondly, you can be fairly sure that the tourists country of origin will have it's own set of rules about who can leave, and if and how they can come back. If my income relied on foreign tourists, I would be looking a new revenue stream right now.

In a long list of stupid ideas, this one is definitely fighting to be at the top. I mean, I can't even..... ????

Hit by a plane the PMs government allowed to land, disembark, and go shopping. The resulting chaos is going to result in even more suffering amongst people already teetering on the edge. At least he apologised for once, and it seems the loopholes are being closed.

Ok, so who did invite them? And as far as not having to undergo quarantine, well that policy was decided by the government.... who just happens to be largely led and controlled by "ex" military.

It's not a bad looking car, certainly much better than the CH-R, which looks like it fell out of a cereal box (not to mention the read light ripped straight off a Civic). Toyota have lifted their game in the last year, with both the new Camry and Corolla looking much more aggressive and stylish in my opinion.
Very interested to see the pricing. It will be going head-to-head with the Mazda CX-30, which is receiving very positive reviews, and is priced rather competitively. It will be interesting to see if the heavier Hybrid Toyota is as agile and forgiving on the rather less forgiving Thai roads.

While at least some of these requirements make sense, I sincerely doubt anyone will bother with all the effort. Couple that with many countries encouraging domestic tourism themselves, and you've got a Kingdom completely devoid of foreign tourists. We're only just beginning to see the impact this will have on the economy.

Anecdotal evidence only. But after visiting Koh Samui several times, I noticed that I had seen more physical violence and alcohol fuelled altercations there more than anywhere else. Noticeable because in 15 odd years, I have barely noticed that kind of behaviour amongst foreigners anywhere else in Thailand.

I still think the soundtrack to The Mission is one of the best I have ever heard.

Are you in a metropolitan area where other foreigners are? If yes, perhaps look on Facebook for an expats group. You might find their are events/trips to join. Cycling and running as well. Or maybe you'll learn about new restaurants and cafes where you could meet people.

I was there about 2 weeks ago. It wasn't very busy at all. I was in and out in not more than 15 minutes.

If you have a regular pub you go to, and know the staff, keep an Eskimo/Thermos Mug or similar there. I also keep one in my car. Great for keeping a wide variety of drinks either hot or cold.
The largest mugs will easily fit a large bottle of beer inside. If you want to add ice cubes, the mug will also stop them melting and watering down the flavour of your beer.

If we are honest, the NACC doesn't really seem to have any credibility left to ruin.

Whenever anyone uses the term "mainstream media" as the backbone of their argument, you know they have a pretty weak argument.
He's a leader, what do leaders do? They lead. If he acts a certain way, he's by default saying others can too. In a difficult time such as this, it is the exact opposite of what countries need, which is strong, united leadership, that sets a positive example. Not sneakiness and wordplay.

Thailand's high unemployment: have you seen behavior change?

Greater Bangkok. Manufacturing/Production
Not tourism, but I work in a factory and much of my wider social network do also. It seems many factories have been hit to varying degrees, with layoffs of indirect and direct labourer, and especially subcontractors. Certainly much more than usual.
Publicly listed companies are asking staff to resign, as opposed to officially laying them off, so as to avoid raising concern with shareholders.
I think many of these people will have more difficulty than normal finding new jobs, so when their redundancy payment has been exhausted (usually 3 to 12 months depending on length of service), they might very quickly find themselves moving back with their parents 'upcountry'.
As car payments and mortgages begin to default, we are going to see things getting worse. With the knock-on/residual effects being felt for years.
