Where I am in the suburbs I have found the exact opposite, lowest in the morning and worsening as the day progresses.
Yeah, that seems to be the pattern where I am too. Bad in the morning, clearing during the day, and then reaching all time highs in the evening.
Apparently the thousands of connected readers all over the country can't compete with the army and a couple of drones that can fly for about 20 minutes each for accuracy.

So let's see, if the usually secretive and outwardly confident Chinese government is actually admitting this is a problem for them, we are meant to believe the words of the perpetually incompetent and bumbling Thai government?

Head south, it's the only area with acceptable pollution levels for now and the immediate future. Phuket included.

If you go to the parks before 7:30am or after 5:00pm, you will see a hive of activity. As others have pointed out, being out during sunshine hours is not for Thais.

This is the kind of idea that someone who is completely incapable of solving the real problem would have.

"... ... planning to bury .....***something something*** large drainage pipe... ***something something***" ....didn't catch the full sentence, but it seems they finally understand the true attraction of Pattaya ????

The school was only known as A? Hmmm, I wouldn't want to make any assumption based on that scant evidence as to the identity of said school.

They know who the suspect is. If, as has been reported, he is part of a well connected family, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if he disappears without his (or his family's) name ever being mentioned. I hope I am proved wrong.
Also, it seems if they really wanted to catch him, they would reveal the name and photo of a 'person of interest', as happens in many countries, and then use the public's help to find him.

"It is not all about price, they said on Facebook, comparing Pattaya to having a coffee at Starbucks. Even if it is more expensive than the competition people might still come if they like the quality, flavor, cleanliness and atmosphere of Starbucks. "
.....see this is a great example of why they are having a problem. Thai's think Starbucks is high priced but good quality. Most Europeans think Starbucks is overpriced rubbish.

Scott from marketing belongs to a group of populist leaders, who have now given the leadership roles in many western world.
He is also one of the first ones, who has been put to a real crisis in their country.
Who had guessed, he lacks the skills to lead the country, when leadership is required?
Sorry for Australia, but it's good that the reality of these swamp creatures are exposed. Perhaps there will be better leaders, who are working for the people, popping up in next elections.
One of the things in this photo is a dark dense emotionless mass without empathy or charisma, the other is a piece of coal.

For all the threats, inducements, and manipulation, this election shows that the people of Taiwan do not want to be a part of China. No one wants to be part of an oppressive regime run by bullies.

Then again, going on holiday to Hawaii in the middle of it, and awkwardly grabbing the hands of people who didn't want to shake his for his photo ops, these are hardly the traits of a good leader. And of course he 'forgot' about the 2 volunteer fireman who lost their lives, before being corrected by everyone around him.
Agreed that the the fire services have been slowly gutted by one gov after another, but when the inevitable disaster did strike, ScoMo has been weighed on the scales and found severely wanting.

Hmmm, I flew a LH Airbus BKK-FRA-BKK back in Nov. I am not sure what the news is here. During peak season there are normally 2 flights a day, one using a 777-200er and the other a A380. It's been like this for years.

If the 26% of people who disagreed changed their minds to support the majority... then their wouldn't be any division.... on this issue at least ????

Once the girl marries a western man, she will likely have resources available to her that she never had before. So for me it comes down to, what does she do with these resources? Will she use them to better herself through study, a business, or other endevour? Or will she just perpetually consume your resources, doing nothing to grow or create her own sense of self worth beyond her husbands cheque book.

Latest from the Herald says that 1 is dead, and likely to be more. One group was in or close to the red circled area below when it went off. I can't imagine the terror.

Tesco just isn't as popular in Thailand, the small stores are a 3rd or 4th choice for me. The big stores aren't busy (compared to Big C Extra) and the prices aren't attractive enough to make the effort and go there
Actually, Tesco in Thailand is one of their most profitable markets, and has been for quite some time. It's the problems back home due to declining profits and mismanagement that are the reason behind the potential sale. I should add that the idea for this sale has been around for over 5 years. The fact is seems to be being so widely talked about at this time, suggests that a potential buyer/exit strategy is in the pipeline. Perhaps we'll see a Chinese supermarket chain with aisles full of Chinese products very soon.

As always, the understanding and compassion for an obviously troubled fellow human being from Thaivisa fills my heart with warmth and hope. The guy has serious mental health issues. He needs to be sent back home where he can hopefully get the help he needs.

People don't care about infrastructure, they want an abundance of female companions and cheap beer. It's as simple of that.

Have the powers that be asked "why" tourists are avoiding Pattaya? It seems to me that they are so intent on telling tourists what they want, they don't stop to look and see and think about what they really want.

Yes, I have seen these boxes around Thailand too. But, if there is money to be made, I am fairly certain people won't be relying only on left over stock, they'll have found a way to make/source their own.
