Nah, there should only be one SP-only. Post a photo of the back panel. Which UPS do you have (link to seller)?

Make sure you're NOT plugged into the "surge protection only" outlet ???? Post a photo if unsure. EDIT You may also need to long-press the power button on the UPS to get it to wake up.

I would use a simple float switch as a level detector, easy to configure for low level. -

Give it a go, I'd still want some sort of sticky tape over it as a bit of reinforcement. Can you see the markings on the cable, just so we can be sure it's the proper stuff.
