  1. Yup, they are one of the "slightly more expensive" purveyors. At least I know they're above board.
  2. The plot thickens. Do Lazada charge the seller a fee when a buyer uses a credit card? Maybe that's what they're playing at. And a timely reminder from Lazada slap in the middle ????
  3. I just don't buy the "too heavy" line. But if they said "please come and collect" then maybe ok. Moving to wanting cash on the nail sealed the non-deal!
  4. Lazada have accepted my cancel request, so just waiting for the $$ to arrive back on my card. Yeah, the whole thing smells of some kind of scam. Dodgy employee dealing out the back door perhaps? I'd already decided not to deal with them outside Lazada, there are other (slightly more expensive) purveyors of the same item, so once I get my $$ back we shall see if they also have a weight issue.
  5. OK Ordered a replacement for our dead above-ground pool. 30k Baht. Seller contacted Madam, so I got them on Lazada Chat. They said the item is too heavy for the Lazada courier. They want me to cancel via Lazada and go and collect from their office. But they only accept cash (offered me a discount). Location looks legit on Google maps. I really don't like dealing outside the Lazada zone, zero protection. Cash only = no protection from Mr Visa either. What could be the angle here?
  6. Sadly, with no re-entry permit your extension died when you left ???? Back to square one ????
  7. From here (with sound clips) http://www.ietto.net/airport.html
  8. Will they work against our latest visitor? At least he won't be getting inside any technology.
  9. @MJCMare low users still getting the FT rebate, I can't remember if it was for 2 or 3 months?
  10. No, sadly these things only go from USB to HDMI (to drive a monitor or projector) not the other way.
  11. It's quite possible that your TV has an issue ???? You could try powering it off completely (pull the plug), have a coffee beer then try again. Does the TV have a second HDMI you can try?
  12. Also, bear in mind that if it's smaller than this (or roughly equivalent): - 'taint 20Ah.
  13. The 160gsm is 138Baht for 100 sheets on Lazada https://www.lazada.co.th/products/hi-jet-laser-art-glossy-photo-paper-160-a4-100-i7494267-s9358359.html It's available in various weights (thicknesses) but not really foldable. For comparison regular copier paper is about 70gsm so the photo stuff is about twice as thick.
  14. OfficeMate have it ????
  15. With the special glossy photo paper (laser type of course) they do very good and fade-proof photo prints too.
  16. No experience with ducks, but chicken eggs will still make a baby chook after a couple of weeks out in the tropical heat (so still fresh). In the fridge at least a month (remember that, unlike US eggs, Thai eggs are not washed, so the bug-proof membrane remains intact). Or shell them (separate white and yolk if you like) and freeze. https://happymoneysaver.com/can-you-freeze-eggs-2/
  17. If you need colour, I would really look at a colour laser, they are affordable now and print first time, every time!
  18. If you do buy from overseas make sure that it's compatible with the Thai LPG (mostly propane). Unless of course you do actually have a natural gas supply. A unit jetted for natural gas will not work correctly and may even prove hazardous (it probably won't blow the bloody doors off but carbon monoxide is a silent killer). Most people go electric oven and gas or mixed fuel hob (cooktop).
  19. You should be able to simply paste the screenshot into a post using <ctrl>V Chrome is working for me, so we really do need to see the error message.
  20. @jwest10 which OS and browser are you using? Can you post a screenshot of the message you are seeing please?
  21. Lloyds, Nationwide and MBNA are working OK for me, PC, Win11, Chrome. The apps all seem to be happy too.
  22. Possible? It certainly was in the past, but things have changed, a lot. Legal? Definitely not and if you get caught out it's you who is on the spot for illegal entry! If anyone wants to PM our OP please feel free, but I'm going to have to close this thread as discussion of illegal activity. Sorry.
  23. I predict an increase in traffic to the Alternative Energy Forum ???? https://aseannow.com/forum/319-alternativerenewable-energy-forum/ We cook on gas and charcoal** but still chew through about 36kWh of electricity per day. ???? Luckily, we generate a sizable chunk of that from the big ole fusion-generator in the sky. ???? Need to add more solar. EDIT ** The charcoal is truly carbon-neutral and renewable. Made from forestry thinnings, burned in a traditional manner (oil drum), and delivered by a chap on a bicycle ????
  24. Yeah, I think this thread has run its course, time to turn off life-support. If anyone has a really (really, really) good reason to re-open please PM me or another on-line Mod.
