Pooh was kind, told the truth and was much much better looking ????

Those instances are more cash oriented but shops with terminals would really benefit from the likes of Google- and Apple-pay. It is infinitely faster and more convenient, esp for grocery shopping. Found I didn’t need my wallet for weeks on end back in the world. But of course harder for the old folk and dinosaurs to adopt… counting out their coppers to get the exact price holding everyone up. That is infuriating but is not the method being discussed here. The QR code thing is often slower than cash.

Thai soccer fans will get to see all the 64 World Cup soccer matches
daveAustin replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Not too hard to work out. It’s called tactics, to try to get the ref to call a foul, but is thankfully less an issue nowadays with VAR etc. Anyway, dignity and ice hockey? Isn’t that the hobby where they fight every 5 minutes and dressed up in so much foam that you could drop off a cliff and not be hurt? ????- 129 replies

Concerns voiced over COVID Deltacron XBC sub-variant
daveAustin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
As opposed too what, meaningless dribble on the likes of facebook and other 'out there' junk? Always cringe when folk say don't read MSM, do your own research etc, which basically means they'll believe anything other than what the big researchers have found out. The earth is automatically flat if the BBC or CNN say it's round, etc etc. ???? -
Cash is simple compared to the systems they have in place here, but with Applepay I’ve not needed to take my wallet out for like weeks on end. Fantastic system esp when you have facial recognition enabled. It was a major drag coming back here and seeing they hadn’t adopted it yet. Get yourself a smartphone bro, they are easy. ????

Bangla Road checkpoints setup to prevent drugs and crime
daveAustin replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
That’s a good image. Invite tourists back to Thailand to save the ailing tourist industry, then subject people to degrading and unnecessary police-state-like searches! They’ll have them at the airports next. Pretty sad really. -
Read more here than back ‘home’. Did two 6-700-pagers last week actually, though currently on a bit of a binge. The noise doesn’t bother me (where excessive noise usually does)… when in the zone, it’s not an issue. Rarely bother with paper over here; having them on the phone means one can read—and acquire practically any title—on a whim.

Prayut Says He Is Still Fine After Hun Sen Catches Covid
daveAustin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Prayut Says He Is Still Fine that’s a shame -
If you want to go cashless, PLEASE introduce Applepay and similar at stores in Thailand. The current system with people fiddling around, entering numbers etc etc ad nauseam is a joke. Along with security & convenience with digital payments should be time saved. Getting stuck behind someone for 5 minutes trying in vain to pay for their groceries is absolutely baffling.

Govt: Thailand to Become International Hub of Electric Vehicles
daveAustin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thailand to Become International Hub of Electric Vehicles Here we go. There’s that word again. And I hope they do, albeit a fair way to catch China which has something like a million charge points.- 82 replies

Don’t sweat it, that’s what like 99% of early adopters did, while numerous others misplaced passwords & keys to their 50btc mined packets (2 million coins permanently lost isn’t it?). Had one hand on the btc client back in 09 (my spare laptop could’ve happily mined), but didn’t bother as was busy doing other tat. Millions of stories like that. Main thing is least you’re in profit. ????

Study shows about 15 percent of Thai students are prone to suicide
daveAustin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Easy to mock when brought up in the West and Thai males can be especially fragile, but reckon the pressures are higher here. When you bring face and subservience to authority and elders into the mix, it makes those that are susceptible all the more likely to struggle. -
Wasn’t it Trudeau that came out with PEOPLEkind so as to not upset the Doris’s in the audience? Strewth! Though not woke, cannot stand the way TV people in the UK overuse, or just use, the word massively. Major cringe and reason enough to emigrate!

Successful online business for sale

I agree. Poor guy was only asking the question. At times you’re better off asking the cat than this crowd. -
Go and do one grandad, and while you’re at it perhaps spend some of your billions to prop up the ‘struggling’ hotel industry… leave the little man out of it! Yeah, thought so. Donkey!

COVID-19 infections on the rise among people not fully vaccinated
daveAustin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I certainly won’t be having anymore jabs. Arthritic fingers & thumbs on occasion post-vaccine... I am not old, though of course it can come post-40. May just be a coincidence and doctors say there’s no connection (they would wouldn’t they), but I’d sooner suffer that cold and will let my immune system do its job in future. -

Eh? Must’ve missed that. From what I read most of them seemed more interested to see what was between their legs.
