    No it isn't, I have been here 17 years and traveled extensively by day and night .. occasionally, only occasionally, on buses. With drugs/alcohol tests and doubling up on drivers the accidents are much fewer. Show me stas to prove me wrong big man . .

    "If you don't ask, you don't get"........I suspect that it is no more intelligent than that. On the other hand, it is not unusual for a Farang to boast about/inflate their status...... after all, most bar dwellers in Pattaya sois 6/7/8 seem to be surgeons or airline pilots.

    The police don't actually have the right to check your immigration status - that is the role of Immigration. But - I am not going to argue with them if asked (I never have been in 17 years) and I always carry a copy of my passport ID page plus last extension stamps.

    I agree that it is necessary to be able to show ID........but that does not need to be a passport.

    No explanation needed. The payment authority is standalone and anyone can pay.....agents like Key Visa often offer to use their card.

    No. The card transaction is undertaken by HMPO. Just put your card details on the payment form - and sign it.

    So bank notes have to have a current likeness? I suggest that you look at other countries banknotes.

    Yes. If you are using an agent you will need to ask them to let you have it (until it is time for collection of the new passport - it is needed at that point)

    I guess you are not too familiar with Royalty and it's history. I know many of your countrymen who would give their right arm for some of that history, tradition and quality.

    British passports had been taking 13 weeks and VfS standard advice was 11 weeks.. It is pleasing to report that I have heard of 3 cases this week that were all back at Trendy within 6 weeks.
