  1. For a condo it is much better - and for cooking smaller items; less practical for a larger family I imagine. My first airfyer was the basket type, great for shaking up chips - cr4p for turning steak and kidney puddings. I now use a 3 tray oven (the name 'airfryer' becomes a bit of a misnomer) which is far more versatile and easier to clean.
  2. How big is yours? If you don't mind me asking.
  3. We are living in Thailand, the OP wants a visa trip from Thailand and his flights will be quoted in Baht. Baht is the logical answer. Phnom Penh is the other answer
  4. Step by step...................????
  5. Ah a wannabee Moderator ....????
  6. As good as it needs to be for an English language forum.

  8. Agree with the Dory comments. It was our best seller on a Friday night when I had a restaurant in Isaan. Yes, we dried the fish properly, seasoned it a little and made a very authentic beer batter. It was a passable substitute for a fish supper 14 years ago.
  9. Now it just smells like fish.........................
  10. I stopped buying cod, partly on quality grounds but also cost - losing almost 50% of weight on defrosting makes frozen fish very expensive.
  11. Any news yet? (My missus went on the 15th and is still waiting)
  12. Yep, anyone displaying that attitude, I would trust them as far as I could throw them.
  13. I agree, totally suitable for my condo - and whilst we have one in the house, we mainly use the big oven.
  14. I heard brilliant economist in the late 90's saying that what we needed was a little bit of inflation (the economy was flat at the time). But, he said, a little bit of inflation is like getting a little bit pregnant - before you know it, it has run away from you.
  15. DOH! Wakey, wakey @KannikaP....???? I tried them; I didn't liked the, so I don't buy them.
  16. I believe you - I guess that is why they can be cooked in the oven. I don't like them - I have to coat my Makro chips....not onerous I have a spray.
  17. I wouldn't know - never buy oven chips
  18. I am not using oven chips - wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. I use Makro crinkle cut or Siamsburis 500g thick cut.
  19. I wasn't sure whether that was against forum rules............I guess you have been around longer and would know otherwise.
  20. A Google search will get you to their full product range. I remember buying suet puddings in Pattaya (from a chef) who said that the heat in Thailand made it difficult to cook with pastry. His pies were great but not so the S&K puddings; somehow the Buriram Pieman seems to have got the recipe right.
  21. I was right - you just have an unnatural distain for the airfryer - probably the best invention since sliced bread.
  22. I am afraid I have heard that from more than one source. Also, - European flights - just booking UK/Spain flights for my brother and SIL. Almost £600 if they want 2 suitcases - that would have been half that a few years ago.
  23. Correct, they taste better when they are not dripping in oil. (the only exception is a local eatery where they thrice cook their chips)
  24. Buriram pies are very nice - if you like a deep filled pie (stick to Tinnies if you prefer flakey pastry). I particularly like the steak and kidney suet puddings http://www.burirampieman.com/headingpic3.jpg http://burirampieman.com/steakpud.jpg
  25. It is the hotel and food costs (+low cost adult entertainment) that make the trip viable. (I just paid £2,800 for 2 x EVA premium economy tickets - pre-Covid that would have been less than £2,000)
