  1. Yes BIL was blacklisted and the tent owner made a contract and took a deposit The reason he went there was exactly because of this You are correct though as i also questioned it. The same car is probably only worth 150k on 12car and think he is paying 240k total inc interest
  2. It was an old farm about 25 years ago probably a hotel now for the lovely boat people. And yes his dog was more about surprise chasing and playing , Did you have your Staffy in Thailand? Hoping you did as i have been looking for one for a while
  3. would love a staff here in Thailand but not found one My friend in the UK had one and it was the sweetest thing (until it bit the postman) it was only his bag and chased him for about 100 meters down his drive. I reckon the postman would have beaten Usain bolt that day with standard shoes and carrying a bag of letters
  4. Thanks yes i think she will probably just give it back Shame really but better than getting someone else who will promise to give her some of the down payment in a week or 2 and never pay It went through the owner at the tent so no finance through the bank
  5. He does look kind of sad
  6. Not had a couple of dangerous dogs attack you then? Soi dogs are usually ok but try being the big dog with 2 large pitbulls foaming at the mouth
  7. So less than 2 weeks ago i was playing pool and having a few beers with my brother-in law Got a phone call at 1am and told he had collapsed and they were waiting for a ambulance and sadly he died . He put 70k down on a used Mitsubishi Triton and paid for installments the last 5 months His wife has no money and the car finance is not in his name I said why not see if they can give a small amount back as he has not driven much since he bought it Anyway they said bring it back and we will check the condition but i am sure they just want to get it returned and once its there how can she take it away again Any ideas what to do as i would buy it from her but already have 2 vehicles Plenty of relatives will want it but i expect they will not give her cash I still reckon its best to drop it off and call it a day but feel sorry for her losing so much money
  8. My last one lasted 2 years so not sure about that! Phones are great though and our washing machine is good although just had it fixed after around 6 years (buttons failed)
  9. Samsung Tvs seem ok but would not buy ac/microwave/fridge
  10. My first Mitsubishi is still working after 20 years as we gave it to my wifes family about 5 years ago and still going strong 5 years ago we purchased a new Mitsubishi Inverter type and within about 2 years the freezer stopped it cost 12k and had to pay about 2k to get it repaired The local repair shop says the inverter types are <deleted>e and they are always fixing them.
  11. You have posted this 6 times now?
  12. Yes just finished and it was excellent
  13. All the new cars i have bought i managed to get a English manual but had to pester Honda more than Toyota They still managed to get one but you have to be as persistent as a ladyboy on beach road
  14. If snoop dog is reading this he will be pissing himself How can everyone stretch 3 grams to last more than an evening?
  15. We are having a solar system fitted this week and they asked if we want a Ev charger installed It's at the car port 50m away from.the house and they are going to give us a quote. What would a good price be ?
  16. I see a few used tesla's and always thought they would be much higher in price for used I recently visited the UK and a uber picked us up not sure the model but it was quick when i asked him to floor it. It had a great dash with all the sensors showing bicycles/people walking near the car. The tech was impressive but he said its not worth much now and outside it looked a bit battered Not sure which model but i mentioned BYD are popular in Thailand and he said that's his next car
  17. What price are you looking for? Also what colour? 23k sound good seen a few around 49km
  18. My wife is after one I am still more into ICE vehicles although like the idea of using one for the short trips and especially since it can be charged with our new solar system for free I have convinced her to get the performance Seal the one that does 0-60 in 3.8 seconds purely because when I occasionally drive one then that is the model I would like to use . My son is also looking to buy a cheap 2nd hand car and always complains about the PT garage being quite far away since a local garage just closed . He also mentioned getting a EV knowing he can charge for free with solar and rarely goes further than 100km round trip And now I am Looking at how much a charger will cost if I install it myself once the solar system is in place
  19. yes i think i have seen the same 2.
  20. The same thing happened to me they said the Sealion 7 is a newer model and better I asked my wife if they can get the Seal but they kept pushing the sealion which is not want i am after
  21. My wife is wanting an EV car and wants a BYD or MG I have convinced her to get a seal mainly because if i end up driving it i do not want to drive one of those Goodcat ev that she also likes Much prefer a used Seal for 800k+ than one of those. i also have noticed that the Seal has dropped in sales and after my wife phoned a local BYD to see if they have a test drive one they said they dont have any or any stock and not sure when they will get more ? Makes me think a new sedan that's even quicker will be coming soon or the newer version that's already in Aus Is there a similar sedan Ev with similar performance to a Seal ?
  22. Yes many people still think about their old Nokia 3310 battery that swelled up and expect the same in a EV
  23. Excellent video Thais also love to buy new vehicles which as you mention lose so much money in the first couple of years I think people still are concerned about the life of an EV car regarding the battery My wife's Thai relatives all say to her that the battery will only last 5 years and its cheaper to buy a new car than replace the battery. Also you cannot drive if the road has over 2 inches of flood water All this I am sure makes the 2nd hand EVs cheaper I am sure in the future this will change Let me know if your selling yours as I am sure a newer faster model will be coming in the future.
