The benefits of living alone as an older man
advancebooking replied to simon43's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
My wife is doing the same to my 10 yr old. Almost too much love. I wasnt bought up like that. My parents rarely showed it. Maybe thats why I have so many issues? The bond my wife and child has is incredible. -

I like your attitude and probably be exactly the same when im in my 70s if I make it that far. But in my 50s its a bit too boring. I have tried it. I like to go away for a few nights away from my nagging wife and child. Thankfully she lets me do this once a month -

Thanks for the info. I know that toll to take on the right. When I drive past the landmark hotel I get in the right lane and turn right into the Mpass toll where your red arrow is. Usually I take that road and turn off when I see the airport symbol on the left (2km down) and go to Swampie that way. But to go to korat following your instructions: - Turn into that Mpass toll and enter the hwy - drive down for how many km's do you think until I see the 'Din Daeng' turn off? - keep right at that DD turn off and enter the tollway? - Then you say once off the tollway? What does that mean. How long do I stay on that road? Highway 2? - following the signs to Saraburi and then Korat. Is the above correct? If I have korat in google maps at nana will it take me that route? thanks
-
That google map is completely wrong. As member 'ballpoint' indicates above.... from nana bts get in the right lane when you drive past the Landmark hotel on the left. (it turns into 3 lanes). in that right lane you will go under the 'underpass' and see the toll on the right. Turn into that toll booth. Follow that advice and one does NOT have to do a google map circle past lumphini park and back around. Complete waste of time/ petrol

Im taking a break from Nana plaza and going to drive from there to Korat. If I drive from nana BTS sukhumvit and head towards MBK. Then turn right and stay straight, do I kind of drive past Victory Monument and then towards Don M airport? Is that the best way to get to Isan? Near that Victory M area is there a toll road? thanks

Samitivej sukhumvit. years ago I used Dr apishai (spelt incorrecty). I suggest you have an echocardiagram on your heart and check the Ejection function to see if its in normal range. That ultrasound will check the whole heart. but critical to see if EF is in normal range or not. At bumrungrad they get the young technician to do the echo. At samitivej sukhumvit branch (close to phrong pong bts) the cardiologist dr does the echo.

Anyone planted Ashoka tree's on their land in Thailand?
advancebooking replied to advancebooking's topic in General Topics
Hi. Thanks for your comment. The shop today selling them told me to plant in zigzag formation which is I think what you are suggesting by having 2 rows. Have you planted Ashoka before? Did you see the photo above where it has fallen over? Now I dont know what to do. Should I be looking at another option ie bamboo?. They also fall over sometimes as well. Can you please offer me advice? -

The 3rd photo in the above post shows the trunk being quite thick. I cannot see how that mature tree will bend. If I plant them at 1m high then have a good chance to be strong until maturity? -

hi. Thanks for your comment. Years ago with my parents they always planted the smaller ones as well. I think you are right in that its better bc they will be more established and grow so fast anyway in this climate. Im definitely concerned about planting the 3 to 4m ones which can fall over -
