  1. A Christmas Gift for the BIB …
  2. Hideaway Bang Chan without a doubt. Well stocked Bar, good food, lovely big swimming pool and for you greens he has 40kWs of solar and free charging of EVs for guests.
  3. Seems you have ordered a replacement number plate from your old province rather than re-register your vehicle in Chonburi or where ever when you would have got new plats straightaway. Well that is what I think happened. Please advise if that is not the case …
  4. You can go to your LTO and re-register your vehicle and they will issue you new number plates for their province … BUT ..they will want the old plates so before going to your local LTO report the loss to your local police station who will give you some sort of letter saying number plate lost …LTO will require to see this document.
  5. That delay is absolutely disgraceful … don’t use them again … that will teach them ….
  6. Friend, who Co owns a garage, told me a while back that there is fake Mobil1 about. They buy direct from the Mobil rep.
  7. That place looks amazing for food, very English type meals and expanding to sell a variety of meats for either collection or delivery. BUT I see that it is up for sale again. Bikers Breakfast … I couldn’t get through that …huge … and proper sausages which are quite a rarity in many resorts. Next time we are up that way againwill give it a good look at …thanks
  8. Yes … I remember paying that when those rooms were first built, maybe 2010-2012 can’t remember exactly when. Those rooms now cost just a little more …. The place has now more than doubled in size since then. Has a new huge swimming pool. It is also exceptionally popular. The owners Hong and Charlee have done a great job. This time of the year sitting at the side of the Kwai Yai, whether at breakfast or in the evening is very pleasant. Loads of pics on booking.com if anyone cares to look. Over the years we have stayed in several Kanchanaburi hotels …eg, Felix, The Glory, Princess River Kwai, River Kwai View, even Dheva Mantra. But we have settled on GTR as location is great, food is very good, staff are excellent and all speak English. OK YMMV …lol
  9. From 21st until 2nd Jan we will be at Good Times Resort in Kanchanaburi … great place to stay. And of course play some golf in the area. And obviously laze around the pool and break the diet well and truly.
  10. I did a couple of 30 minutes walks today …At a reasonably fast pace for me … this morning it initially dropped to below normal but this afternoon just the opposite. I take a very small amount of beta blocker and a very small amount of titrace each morning. The beta blocker since I had Covid in January and the ACE inhibitor since 1993 after MI and double bypass …yeah I have a bad history but have made it to 79 years old, hope for a little more ………
  11. Hell no …IMM send me an e- mail 14 days in advance reminding me to do my 90 day report. On line takes 5-10 minutes…..
  12. My wife would love to have her nose altered a little but she says after the op it hurts … only reason for wanting it doing is that eye glasses just don’t fit properly or feel comfortable. Other problem that she has found is that she can’t seem to find any swimming goggles that will completely seal. Nose jobs and chin jobs you can usually spot from quite a distance … and the eyebrow jobs … yuk
  13. We have been here since 2007. When I look at our sheets they look fine. Of course neither of us piss the bed …. Well not yet. But maybe MrsJ has replaced our sheets several times…I wouldn’t know. Sex is usually over the kitchen table anyway so maybe that helps. By the way…HELL . is that your bed. You actually sleep there ….
  14. Wow …this is big… you seem to get out of bed the wrong side most days …
  15. Definitely didn’t play the North. Don’t have the card now …binned it in disgust lol
  16. Well, I can’t argue with an AI cut and paste expert. If I wasn’t clear, I’m sorry but blood pressure drops fairly rapidly after exercise but it doesn’t drop down to normal straight away. It takes quite a while for it to completely return to normal. Basically same as the pulse rate.
  17. After that sort of distance, even if you have really pushed it …little over three hours…then your systolic pressure should drop quite rapidly to not much above resting, or in fact it could be lower. Your pulse should do the same, a rapid drop to a little over normal. Whatever is commented …your enemies are …high normal blood pressure, salt and sugar. And of course ultra processed and junk food. This is from someone who had a heart attach and double bypass at 48 years old. I’m now 79 and did quite well on a couple of pills until nearly five years ago when after leaving hospital after an operation I had a problem …result my VO2 Max halved …ps I forgot stress is also your enemy …
  18. Authority had approved the installation. Really… we moved into our new house in 2005. I ask the guy in charge of the site for the test. Results of the electrical insulation …no have…. Where I looked around there was no MEN link, I also noticed that missing in a few other houses. Also, every wire that terminated at the junction box had been run short and had to have an extra 12 to 15 inches added. And on two sockets L and N were reversed…. I wonder if a small brown envelope changed hands …
  19. Does it really matter if it takes one, two or three days. I’ve used them for years, find it simple and the total cost quite competitive.
  20. No…played Phutalawan …ground was a bit firm, to be expected I guess as no rain for a while. Was 1500baht all in for Thai and Thai Resident.
  21. IMG_3946.mov Last week we stayed at Hideway Resort Bang Chang and played one of the local golf courses and then onwards east. That place is well worth a visit, whether staying, just using the huge saltwater pool, charge for non guests, or having drinks in the very well stocked bar.. around the pool are several sala's which even have roof fans. For 'the greens' it has 40+kWs of solar and free EV charging for guests. Food is good and the all-day breakfast, good value for money, has proper sausages, not just those hotdog things. So I think a good place to stay, especially for golfers. Also children would like the lovely pool and trampoline... parents can watch them for the bar or sala's, so very safe.
  22. So advancing age has turned you into ‘Mr Unlimited Minutes’. What are you complaining about? You can now pump away at ‘Ms Wide Open Legs’ for an unlimited period, who in return will make loud and sometimes quite strange noises until she gasps “I don’t think that I can take anymore for now”. Then you just empty yourself on whatever part of her body is nearest. BUT avoid giving her Rabbit Eye else everyone will know what she let some guy do. Now, if still no success, I’ve read somewhere that a sheet of 400 Wet and Dry together with a bottle of Baby Oil is an interesting experience and guaranteed to do the trick. Perhaps also keep a jar of Vaseline handy for later. And of course, if word gets around about your prowess Uni Girls will be asking you for ‘all nighters’.
  23. I use Surfshark … no problem with iPlayer or itv … any problem they very quickly sorted it out .. even though my fault lol
  24. Wait until after the Motor Show…prices should be even lower…
  25. I use the pension method to renew my extension to stay. Nonthaburi asked to see 13 months of payments. So after about 9 or 10 months, I get a statement to cover that period from Bangkok Bank. On the day I go to Bangkok Bank and get a statement for the remaining time together with the other letters that are required as I have to give them a letter saying when and how much each month is transferred from the UK I organize that a few days earlier.
