  1. The last scheme during Covid 1.0 worked very well for us, we had some cheap deals at some nice hotels. This time my wife has tried many times to register … failed every time so far.
  2. If it has a hint of MelinIa’s then maybe….
  3. On the face of it … so Trump will look good … BUT …Carney will get what he initially wanted….bit like a supermarket ‘loss leader’ …
  4. Yeah ..more like George and that ‘medical doctor’ complained…
  5. Does she watch and cheer you on…makes it more rxciting , doesn’t it ……
  6. I’m on 10mg. They are helping I think. My a1c was 6.5 but a month ago it was down to 5.9 and I hope lower next test. My fingers are getting sore, I probably will get a cgm as I need to get more info on what’s causing spikes and how long, not just the two hour value. Maybe I shouldn’t worry too much as I’m eighty now. There are many on the internet advising what to do to reverse etc …some just there for the clicks. Seems boiling the red onion whatever is good in an emergency. Out of interest, have always had the yearly health check, but only did fasting which had crept up to 100. But no one ever said we need to look into this. Fasting is easy to fiddle but obviously I never ate a lot of sweet things the day before. Whatever good luck. Whatever good luck
  7. Don’t know if any help but ….After Covid I found out that I was Pre …Dr gave me Jardiance. He said that it would also help my heart and kidney. I take ACV if I will have carbs in the meal. Also whenever possible eat in the order. Veg…protein…carbs. Have cut out all the things that make life extra pleasant …ice cream and cakes ….etc ACV is obviously diluted ..about a tablespoon in a glass of water and drink through a straw if I remember …
  8. He knew enough to brag that something was going to happen giving Iran time to move the important stuff …
  9. 23 years for us…she always holds my hand when we cross the road…..I’m only 9 years older than her…
  10. Its looks like, in mid-July, MrsJ and myself will make our way up to Chiang Mai, on the way we intend to play Jiraprawat (Nakhon Sawan) and Dong Phu Koed (Phitsanulok) Whilst up there we are considering playing Mae Jo, Gassan Legacy, Gassan Panaroma, Gassan Khutan and maybe Artitaya. Too much water on Hariphunchai I think … So if anyone has played these courses recently, I would appreciate any comments about them. Also what is the accommodation like at Mae Jo. Thanks ....
  11. I think that if there is no Tax ID on the bill you shouldn't be charged VAT. I await your comment .....
  12. I had a full tear … repaired at Chulabhorn….could have been done for 100K but I wanted it done quickly..so cost an extra 50K. 100% success…this was four years ago.
  13. America would be somewhat greater. Seems to me that he’s doing quite well for Canada …anyone of the same opinion
  14. Michelin Primacy are worth paying the money for, even on a small car.
  15. I’ve two accounts with BB …not had any problem so far. I’ve also had an account with CIMB Thai for many years … wanted to open a joint account with my wife …no can do …this was more than a year ago now Have Non O visa…here since 2007…don’t work………….
  16. Do I understand that you are saying in Thailand for basically 150 rounds the equivalent cost in £UK is about £66 ie B2900. That includes green fee, caddie and buggy. Or just green fee … £1000 for 150 rounds is about about £6.60 …when I left the UK in 2007 £30 was about the going rate. But I do agree golf here costs more …when my wife and I left the UK we paid maybe £2000 a year for joint membership. Here we have membership but caddie cost is B350 +B400 tip …. So 150 rounds a year would be 225000 or £UK5000. In fact it costs us miles more because we go away and play every couple of weeks so maybe B1500 all in …or B1900 each ……our golfing costs are huge!!!!!
  17. A couple of days ago I bought some items from the Decathlon store in Saphanmai. When I looked at what I had bought later, I realised that I had picked up one wrong item …I searched in vain for the receipt. Phoned the shop and they said don’t worry we can check what you bought from your phone number. Next day I went back and exchanged the item and as the item that I wanted was cheaper than the one that I had picked up in error, I received a partial refund. Also the staff that I dealt with, their English was very good. That is good service.
  18. I think that if the MAGA posters were back in their country and, loosing their houses, business, pension etc they might have a different opinion
  19. To cage America’s worst, he needs to be careful …
  20. Normally, if it’s more than three lines long, I won’t read it. But I just love this guys posts and the phrases he drums up …the bit about the guys sister …brilliant…
  21. I got a Citi credit card a few years ago. I was retired …no work permit and didn’t have to lock any money away. They gave me a 160,000 limit but could and did increase it to pay a large bill …always paid it off every month though…the points were useful. As said it’s now UOB. UOB are much more difficult to contact by phone …Citi were so easy and quick. But writing to UOB get a quick reply. I need to spend 300k over some 12 month period to avoid the annual fee. Paying car insurance, hospital accounts, Makro etc goes a long way towards this. I do keep a running 12 month spending check. And if it begins to look iffee I’ll just cancel it or write a pleading letter to UOB lol TBH I don’t really need a credit card, but it’s quicker than fiddling with a bank app and the points save a little bit of money. Also as I gifted money from abroad to my wife, she pays for her golf, her car insurance and all her other expenses, so my credit card spending has reduced considerably ….
  22. Thailand General Chat…General…Buy and Sell …then you will see it …
  23. Nonthaburi have always asked me to prove that the money I bring over monthly is from a pension! They made it more difficult than normal this year. When they found out that I could do the money in bank method …they asked me to go that way …that way is much less paperwork so I guess they prefer it …suits me as I probably won’t need to fill in a tax return next year.
