  1. Mr G_money… wow reading this post makes me think that maybe you are not such a nice person or maybe a little short of a full set or maybe even both. You have made some quite unpleasant comment and untruths about Trans. My wife and I visited him and his wife Pook a few years ago when we were touring the Provinces playing golf. I can tell you now that his house is not small, it is built in a quite decent size plot and has a lovely outlook across a lake. I know that when he lived in the UK, that was many years ago now it was in the London area and you are way off in suggesting his occupation. So give up your childish comments and untruths or many more will adopt my opinion if they haven’t already.
  2. Thank you ...problem sorted.
  3. Hi guys Does anyone hgave a phone number to contact them please ...
  4. They argue that Srettha's actions undermine the integrity of the government …. I didn’t think it had an awful lot anyway.
  5. Nonthaburi …haven’t left the country since 2014. Renewed my extension of stay last month.Renewed my passport about 4 years ago…..hope this helps PS they always send an e-mail telling me it’s time to do my 90 days
  6. I believe that white plates cannot be issued until the dealer has paid the tax on the car…he wants to hang on to that money as long as possible. My wife always registers any new can we buy. Many dealers charge for this simple process, and sometimes quite a lot.
  7. Well, I sent my request in last Friday, received the confirmation that they had received it later that day. Received the approval e-mail a few minutes ago …so working for me.
  8. We did play a course in that area many many years ago but neither of us can remember anything about it. Usually, EGAT courses have accommodation but sometime it is a bit basic although the food is normally okay. Ubonrat Dam course might be worth a visit and try the accommodation in the villa.
  9. My experience is that it is now much harder for someone like myself…retired… to open a bank account. I have been with CIMB Thai for many years yet they won’t let me open another account. I actually have accounts with three different banks, I don’t really need them all but dare not close as in the future I may need and maybe cannot open again. If you have a work permit then usually no problem
  10. Our local Bangkok Bank will supply a 6 month printout on demand …a 12 month one takes about 1 week.
  11. Not surprised that he is not happy. Isn’t he a huge invester of the stuff just like someone here…
  12. Agoda shows a price without the ++. So we never bother with them. We look up the hotel on Booking.com. Then my wife phones and asks the price with breakfast …usually get a better price. But this doesn’t normally work with 5* hotels …they either seem to offer a higher price or say use our agent.
  13. Buy a CTEK and put it on every time you get home ...its designed for that anyway.
  14. I think that what is being talked about is Max Demand and if that’s the case then is actually Megawatts .. Our air con runs whenever we are at home …Solar and battery covers most of our usage …using about 25units/day…but that does include charging our PHEV several times a week.

    Physio Therapy 2024

Supak Physio in Sriracha … my back is quite bad and I play far too much golf with my wife. Have known her for many years from when she worked at a clinic in Bangkok and of course now has her own place. I still drive up to see her from Bangkok when needs must. Haven’t been there for a few months now though. No problem with english …she is also a bit of a triathlete …
  16. As you realise that’s showing fully charged … https://www.manua.ls/ctek/xs-0-8/manual?p=2 … in case you have lost your manual …as you say have to look elsewhere ….
  17. Bit late now but best would have been for her to get a UK licence in the past. Maybe a little different now but when we lived in the UK … in 2002 onwards …MrsJ studied the Highway Code for six weeks and during that time had driving lessons … passing her test seemed no problem. Plenty on the internet for her to practice the multi choice questions and the videos. I don’t recall having to pay any extra car insurance … was insured through Cornhill. She very quickly learned that ‘the Thai smile’ doesn’t help when you want to push in … initially roundabouts scared the <deleted> out of me and the driving instructor … lol
  18. I bought a CTEK 5.0 many years ago … try to remember to put it on our batteries every couple of weeks or so … never had a battery fail and usually get 4 years out of them.
  19. Yes..it was ‘kin hot on the golf course this morning.
  20. It’s about a two hour drive from Kanchanaburi town. The course condition is really great and so are the greens. Unfortunately dual pricing 700thb for Thai and 1000 for none Thai. Nowhere did it say that until we went to pay. Anyway good price so not a real problem. We stayed two days. There were about 30 Koreans staying so we had to go off after them, so started playing about 8am. Play was quick, good job really as temperature soon got up to 41C. Our room was quite large and could be described as quite okay. Other than breakfast we had meals in a restaurant about 4kms away. Their swimming pool has been closed since Covid, so not a lot else to do…golf course appeared empty in the afternoon ………probably best to visit when it’s not quite so hot …. We drove up to Vajiralongkorn Dam Golf Course with the idea of staying there and playing …took one look at it …very very dry and decided no. Off to Grand Prix GC for a couple of days ..
  21. At present weekday all in price at Grand Prix Golf Club is 1800thb and 1400thb to stay. Weekend price is more and towards the end of the year both are much more. The offer is valid for wd and we until the end of the year. Grand Prix stand is next to the Merc stand. We also wandered through the BMW stand …didn’t recognise it at first …no oil on the floor ……..
  22. I think it’s actually called Rose Garden at Suan Sampran …MrsJ phoned up and asked about staying … they said 6000thb but that included one activity. As we were only interested in playing golf we stayed at Xen in Nakhon Pathom ..room 420 can recommend 1600thb …only problem with Xen is that breakfast was outside .. no air con obviously … and even at 7am it was quite warm. Quite a few years ago we did stay there with friends … did the handicraft things eg made a clay pot … went on the water …bicycle ride etc wasn’t that price though!
  23. Has anyone actually been there either playing golf or staying…if so what is it like? I understand that most of the Koreans who were there earlier this month have now gone back home. We have to do the annual family thing in Kanch next week so MrsJ is suggesting afterwards that we have a few days there. It’s quite cheap …700thb all in and 800thb to stay with breakfast. Also at Bangkok Motor Show I’m told that there is an offer available for playing at Grand Prix golf club if anyone is interested.
  24. Just in case anyone is interested we were there earlier this week … the course is really lovely and the greens fast. All in price very reasonable at 1500thb. Staying there is another matter though … needed to have been in bitcoin years ago!.
  25. Thanks ...Yes ...that is what we were seeing and no reply from 034 910 310/311. Renovations? not long since that course was re-opened...Koreans only? (Waterland is Koreans only now 365days a year) Anyway MrsJ says that Kanch will be a bit hot. So have decided to play Khao Cha Ngok (N-Nayok)... Chiraprawat (N-Sawan) and Dong Phu Koed (Phitsanulok) ... it will get us away from BKK for a few days.
