Sorry to hear that Jim …

if you are feeling old at 50 'WOW' ... i never felt old until I was 74 and that was caused by a bit of a heart problem after an operation. if you think that you are doing everything right them maybe its your genes that are not as good as they could be ... bad luck. So accept it, have a happy outlook and that will help.

Is this normal amount of oil usage for Porsche Macan?
JAS21 replied to wprime's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Porsche recommend annual oil change even if usage is low. There is a forum for your car and joining may be an idea. When it’s out of warranty or the main dealer cannot sort a problem take it to CT14 garage in Bangkok…they are Porsche experts. -
So MrsJ and myself are up here for a few days. We bough some vouchers from the last Motor Show. We had planned to play stay two nights in December but now find that Dec 1-14 is booked out for Asian Tour practice and qualifying and for the rest of the month Koreans have it booked every day up to 2pm. Price to play in November is 1800 weekday and 2100 weekend and the vouchers we have allow play on any day. stay price is 1300 weekday (twin delux room) and 1700 Fri and Sat. The vouchers cover Sun to Thursday. You have to pay 400 extra to stay Fri and Sat. So have two nights stay and four rounds of golf that we don’t need and will sell together (one night and two rounds of golf) and have two of these. If interested then phone the golf club and book golf and stay …to make sure availability and then PM me and I’ll sell two rounds and the room for 3600 ie golf at 1300 a round and room at 1000. If no one wants the packages then we will just use them up ourselves.

Out of interest, approximately which area is that? I’ve never seen the road flooded
-
During the Big Flood … the area alongside Klong Prapa on Prachachuen road was earthed up more than a meter which prevented villages on Prachachuen Road from being flooded. Since then they have built a wall and now are increasing the strength of the wall. The earth barrier continued across Chaengwattana road. Tesco Lotus side of it was flooded. Makro, I believe, contributed a lot of money to keep the water in the Chao river in Pakkret area so that they could continue trading. We were lucky as we live in a village off Prachachuen Road

Hell it bothers you …I just hand the receipt to the guy … about 15 secs later he gives it back to me and off we go ..

Well you could attach some blue plastic pipe vertically onto your drain with a bit of silicon and block your toilet with a plastics bag full of water held down with a weight…got the idea …of course if you are talking quite a depth of water then probably you are <deleted> …

Yes of course it was a ‘throw away’ comment. I very much enjoyed my children … when they were into judo took them everywhere …we lived in Kent and two years in succession took them to I think to Southport for a weeks special training. When they moved onto model car racing we even went to Whales two weeks in succession for them to compete in some competition. etc etc played squash with them …was even on their grammar school PTA committee. Now my youngest ( born ‘75) lives in Adelaide, oldest (born ‘72) still lives in the UK, and in contact via LINE with them every week or two. So done it and got the T-shirt …we left the UK for good in 2007 and have never been back. Now we do what retired people do …potter around the house … play golf normally three times a week … go away for a few days every two or there weeks …etc etc. This time of the year we are normally in Chiang Mai golfing …gave it a miss this year though….. So WTF would I want to do such a silly thing …………….

Hell NO … when my kids from my first marriage went to university I sold their beds and changed the door locks. When I married my present wife … who is a Thai … she was 48 and I was 57, neither of us had any desire to have any more children …… that was twenty two years ago and our opinions haven’t changed …. Don’t do it ….

An option is B1 B6 B12 ampoules. Injected direct into your bum. My wife and I have used this for years. It’s a very good idea to get your doctor to show you the safe area to inject and how to prepare the injection. You don’t want to be injecting any air, or hit a nerve and of course clean the area first with alcohol.

How many here on the Farang Pub hope to die in Thailand?

Here of course and if I know the exact time it will be between MrsJ’s legs …..even if I don’t know the time I could do some guesswork. -
Let him be. He is Just one of life’s losers. Normally I would suggest ignoring him, but he is lonely and probably depressed so yeah let’s be nice to the poor bastard.

From my experience if you are getting aged and have health problems then there are times that the heat and humidity will affect you. I’ve been her full for around seventeen years … the heat never used to bother me and I didn’t sweat much … used to even sit out in the sun. However since are now a lot older and heart is not that good anymore I sweat a lot and it’s quite uncomfortable at times … my shirt sticking to me affects my golf swing … well that’s my excuse … ps … I’m not fat but I can appreciate that those of you who are may suffer more.

Travel Planning with Dan About Thailand’s Free App
JAS21 replied to CharlieH's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
The Marketing Guru … good stuff Dan. I would have liked to see more people give their views on the September topic that was closed. But only a few days left now so … Maybe someone will do similar for October as MrsJ and myself always like a couple of weeks away from BK just before the so called High Season is upon us. -
Take here somewhere nice to stay every other weekend … there must be lots of offers available. And take her to see her friends sometimes

Wind is not the problem there … but another element can be ….

Mrs J and myself went to play there today. There is water on every hole but … the fairways were in really good condition … the greens somewhat difficult and fast. I found the Garmin Golf app quite useful … both our caddies were very helpful and mine could speak some English. Going back there next week to play in a comp so have booked them. Monday to Friday all in 1300Baht before 9am. Wednesday is sports day 1300Baht all day… it’s a very good price. Clubhouse food … I had the yellow curry … good but at 300Baht a little on the expensive side I though. Definitely worth a visit and as we played early (6:30 am) … it was quite and we were first out.

We have had joint bank accounts for at least 22 years. I do keep a sole account for Immigration purpose and she has an account which gets better interest than I can and also a couple of bonds. We do discuss any big purchases but for anything else who cares … Lawyer wrote our wills as if you are not careful you can have problems when one of you die. But joint accounts help.

You could try UOB … it’s a couple of years ago now that I got mine from Citi Bank . I’m retired, no work permit and I didn’t even bank with them. It is unsecured with a limit of 160k thb. I wanted to go above that short term to pay a large bill ( ie get points) and no problem…with Citi I did have to pay the full amount off each month but it doesn’t look like that with UOB. I ditched my Bangkok Bank one as I had to let them lock away the amount that I could spend on the card. I don’t have anything special other than a Yellow Book

Can somebody please explain this to me..
