  1. webercolor plus (th.weber) I came across this stuff by mistake a few months ago because I needed a blue colour grout! 5mm-20mm gaps.
  2. It's a MS account that was opened with a Gmail email address as the contact point. It does not have to have a MS associated email account. If the notice is read correctly it states that the MS account that has not been used associated with the Gmail address is going to be closed, not the email address. I got this message from Microsoft account. 'Your account is set to - Microsoft Community Personally, I'd just ignore it!
  3. When I read about tragedies like this it just screams out about the lack of basic education and parenting skills. Many years ago when I was associated with a local school, I made a PPT about road safety with some graphic photos of sustained injuries and deaths. The attending students just laughed, even though a few weeks previous two of their fellow students were crushed under a 10 wheeler! People keep saying that the police are at fault for not enforcing the law but how can they if they aren't allowed to be forceful, like confiscation of motorbikes etc. No use increasing fines because the public can't or won't pay, regardless of consequences. The whole culture attitude has to change, before we will see any improvements in road safety. Don't hold your breath!
  4. How true I don't know. I came across this: 'Avoid using steam cleaners to clean urine odors from carpet or upholstery. The heat will permanently set the stain and the odor by bonding the protein into any man-made fibers. Avoid cleaning chemicals such as ammonia or vinegar.' I remember from many moons ago that a carpet cleaning firm I used wouldn't use hot water, only lukewarm. They also cleaned the sofa with a dry foam of some sort.
  5. Yes, I ordered the same but received the medium roast by mistake ???? They apologised profusely and offered to send out the special roast next day. As they wanted me to return the order they got wrong, I couldn't be faffed so I'll be keeping it and I'll try it out tomorrow. Mistakes happen. Thanks to all who have given me contacts and choices.
  6. My missus has acquired a Philips coffee maker and coffee bean grinder from a friend. We both love a rich flavour without being too strong and bitter. No doubt it will be a passing fad but for now I'd like to give it a try. I'm looking for recommendations for reasonably priced fresh coffee beans that can be ordered online as the big stores stock is normally quite old. Thanks in advance.
  7. I will stand by what I have experienced, maybe it has been rescinded now with the Covid restrictions gone. You cannot/could not obtain a non 'O' extension directly from a visa-exempt, it is/was changed by immigration to a tourist visa (last year) using TM87 form from which you can extend if required then apply for a 3 month non imm 'O' using the TM86 form. This can be extended to a 12 month extension for marriage / retirement etc. The TM87 Thai Visa Application Form in 2021 - Integrity Legal - Law Firm in Bangkok | Bangkok Lawyer | Legal Services Thailand Read it all... This explains the process (at the time) that I and many others used. People like yourself just won't accept what others have experienced so accuse them of guessing ...... Plonker!
  8. I feed my hound in the evening. A handful of dry dog food then mix in a few spoonsful of cooked OK frozen dog food/left over rice mix which is available in Makro / Big C at ฿46. Also some chopped up cooked chicken breast when I can get it cheap enough. Dry food is Petzfriend ฿170 x 3kg various flavours. Of course, titbits from meal leftovers and the occasional soft chew stick as a treat. Ex-Soi dog, now a faithful house hound and lovebug!
  9. Oh yes you can petal. It's been like that since the onset of covid 19. I done it in July last year and know of several who have been down this route in the past year or so. This is the way! ????
  10. Entry to Thailand: Visa Exempt 30 days Change to Tourist Visa at immigration office 60 days Extend Tourist Visa 30 days Total of 120 days to get ready for non '0' extension.
  11. For a website guru you aren't paying attention. I think most people know that normally the first 4 or so answers are sponsored sites so are to be dismissed. Be more patient and read a little further down. The first few actually state they are referring to business days so you should dismiss them. Under that is the answer you're looking for ..... I personally think that Giggle has improved by giving me more options to answers on general questions. You sound just like my impatient Canadian neighbour! Chill petal.
  12. They are not available in Thailand ..... at present.
  13. For an entry level phone under 2500฿ it seems a fairly decent phone apart from the screen res. Remember, you get what you pay for and it is a cheapie! If it suits your needs then fine, go for it.
  14. I've just got back from my local Bangkok Bank branch up in the boonies. Up to the desk and asked for facial recognition for my account. I was not informed about this, I was in the area on other business requiring my passport so decided to drop in. Passport and bank book required. Copies of both were done and a form to be filled out with current phone number, all to be signed. Check that you have access to mobile banking. Photo taken by desk webcam. I asked about internet banking and she told me that it is not affected, it's only for mobile banking. On a side note: At my branch you can open an account with a pink I.D. Card or passport with no problems. If using the I.D. Card the account details (name) is written in Thai whereas using a passport it's in English. I.M.O. It's easier to use a passport as there can be no confusion that it's for a foreigner. I've seen problems at immigration because an account name was in Thai for a foreigner!
  15. I've bought a couple of bikes from a local Yamaha dealer, including an Aerox. On both occasions they wouldn't budge from the listed price but it was an 'on the road' price with the usual freebies : Crash helmet (full face with Aerox) , rubbish rain jacket and maybe a rice cooker! It took 45 days to get the book, plates and tax disc with Gov. insurance. All was dated from the day I took the bike so I was covered by the mandatory insurance.
  16. Should be ..........83,500 !
  17. It might be in the tourist cities but certainly nowhere to be seen up here in the 'boonies' at any provincial city I've visited. By the way, I never mentioned cans .......
  18. On a side note: I haven't had a cold Guinness since I was last in Bangkok over 5 years ago! I miss it sooooooo much. The only decent supermarket we have nearby is a small Tops in Robinsons and they don't stock it. Does anyone know if the Tops in Khon Kaen or indeed anywhere nearby stock the black nectar?
  19. How much is King Charles III's Coronation going to cost and who pays for it? - LBC It also includes the estimated amount of money the Coronation will generate! Royalist or not, the British Monarchy generates far more wealth than it costs. I'm sick and tired of all this historical woke society cr@p that's aimed at not just the Monarchy but the UK in general. It's history now, the same as the great world wars. Lessons learnt by all nations and hopefully not repeated in the future. King Charles 111 will never be as popular as the late Queen Elizabeth 11 so he has given the anti's the opening they couldn't or daren't use in the past. The British Monarchy is still extremely popular worldwide and a huge tourist attraction, generating millions for the economy. Personally, I'm glad the UK has a royal family, if it didn't, that wouldn't be the end of the world but it would be a sad day for the so-called British way of life. Those that are against the British Monarchy have every right to express themselves as they feel fit within the laws of the land. Up to them but they are in the minority, the majority no need to shout out. Just my opinion and you are entitled to yours. Don't forget to read the link above.
  20. I was seriously looking at the MG ZS V (not ev) recently and eventually decided against it. The styling was good, equipment level good, warranty good and dealership exceptional. The 'feel' of the car was somewhat mediocre and it didn't give me any confidence driving it with the lack of power this car has at its disposal. I can live with a car that has a lack of horsepower but this motor felt like it would always give me doubts. Also, reviews are very mixed about the earlier models and many remarks about engine reliability after several thousand miles. (reviews from the West) I believe these initial faults have been rectified with the new 2023 models but still .... I would think it could be a nice around town runabout for shopping etc. or as a second car. I was impressed with Toyota Ativ top model as regards drivability, the little 1200cc lump actually felt quite nippy (its not) and it has high equipment levels with comfort for a bargain sedan but still ..... My quest for a replacement motor continues!
  21. How do I get account details? | Wise Help Centre Is this what you're after?
  22. I buy frozen peaches / apricots / mandarins / various other fruits to bottle from Makro. The glass jars I use come from the family and neighbours who eat jams and assorted pastes etc. All jars and lids are boiled in water / vinegar solution before use. Although I devote a whole shelf in the fridge to my delights, I could store the bottled fruits in a cupboard. When the fruits are cooling down (in iced water) you can hear the seal of the lid 'pop' tight shut and the button goes down forming a vacuum. When in season, I also pickle several kilos of beetroot, onions, small cucumbers etc. I've got the time and enthusiasm to enjoy the fruits of my labour! ????
  23. WOW .... You hero!
