Hi guys, hoping for some factual info for this! I've got a UK friend who wants to re-marry his Thai ex-wife (Why I don't know but somehow, I think it's got to do with her money). She's in agreement with the idea but she's presently dealing with a family situation 500km away so he wants to be prepared for when she returns. Anyways, he thinks he can go back to the Amphur he got married and divorced in with their divorce certificates and re-marry? Somehow, I don't think it's going to be that easy. I reckon, he's got to re-do the whole marriage procedure from scratch. Your knowledge would be appreciated.

It seems to me that the majority of those that have successfully obtained a 'yellow book' and 'pink' Thailand I.D. card find them useful. Those that haven't or have been unsuccessful find it a waste of time and effort. Different offices have different stipulations. TiT. Sometimes it's just luck on who you are dealing with. IMHO, both documents are useful to have but not a life breaker if you haven't.

If you're lucky it's a blown head gasket and not a cracked casing. It's definitely coolant mixing with oil. As others have said 'get it checked' and fixed asap.

AFAIK, No UK bank will open a new account for non-residents, I totally agree. I've had a Nationwide account for over 40 years and have had no UK address for over 15 years. They have always had my current address on record in whatever country I have lived in, Spain, China and now Thailand. Debit cards have always been automatically sent to my current address and card readers on request. I am not on any electoral role in the UK. I think Nationwide B/S is an exception in that they are willing to keep an account open if the customer maintains a positive balance. It's been over 6 months now since my dogs and others were poisoned and I still think of them daily. I miss them both so much. The neighbours that weren't 'dog friendly' now realise that it was my dog Ben, who kept the soi 'stray free', he was definitely the alpha male around here. We are now inundated with strays chasing up and down looking for bitches on heat! About 2 months ago, a dog similar to my Ben came running into my yard one evening seeking refuge from a pack of dogs trying to mate with her, obviously she was on heat. She was in such a sorry state, battle scarred and malnourished so I gave her some left-overs to eat and some fresh water. After about an hour, she wandered off into the night. The following few nights I did have a look around the area to see if I could find her but to no avail. Then 5 weeks ago, she just appeared from nowhere on my balcony one evening. Tail wagging, hungry and thirsty but so friendly. She didn't want to leave so when I went to bed I left the gate slightly ajar. The next morning she was still here. It was almost as this was her home .... It is now! Fully vaccinated, spayed (along with 5 unborn pups) and up to a normal weight, I can't believe how much she looks and behaves like Ben. Also she is liked by the surrounding neighbours because she has the same traits as Ben, she's becoming the soi custodian! According to more than one local, she's the daughter of Ben! Ben top ...... Benji (daughter) bottom.

I believe they stopped doing that in 2018.
