  1. The police should be really proud of themselves for taking 15 years to find this guy...
  2. It's no good, they are going to have to start fitting these infected tourists with a ball and chain.
  3. I'm still extremely irritated that the school our 6 year old grandson goes to have told us that he cannot attend classes if he is not vaccinated. So much for parental consent...
  4. What did they expect? These criminals were hardly going to have a whip round and buy the police a Christmas hamper were they?
  5. Clearly these fraudsters are now bored of throwing themselves in front of cars in an attempt to get an insurance payout.
  6. Do I feel accepted? From a bureaucratic point of view? No, absolutely not. Within the village I live in? Yes, I'm very much part of the furniture.
  7. What a sad state of affairs. I hope she gets the help she clearly needs.
  8. From the title, I thought this thread was going to be about whether you can drink a lot of alcohol and not get drunk.
  9. I think the fumes from the glue must have leaked into the cab. Next time he should put some glue on his tires for a bit of extra grip.
  10. Just tell them you've been bitten by a dog. You won't be the first person they have treated for that. Oh, and just to be on the safe side, lock yourself away during the next full moon...
  11. Time for an increase in their tea money charges?
  12. The situation is what it is. There is no point in worrying about something we have zero control over. All anyone can do is get vaccinated, get your booster jabs when available, follow all the precautions that are put in place and keep your guard up.
  13. I always know whether orders that I have personally made are due for delivery simply because I follow the tracking updates on my phone. If I pay COD I normally have to correct money put aside well in advance. If a courier called when I had no outstanding orders I would just reject it even if no payment was due.
  14. Just a thought, but if they let people with mild or no symptoms self isolate at home then that would take massive pressure off the hospitals. Or is that too logical?
  15. I'm not sure. It was rather thrust upon us.
  16. It is baffling that 79.55% of these accidents occur on straight roads. Perhaps all the roads need to be made about three times wider?
  17. What's the point of warnings. Just implement tougher penalties and be done with it.
  18. Thai pretties conducting random breathalyzer checks would be a better idea. Although the extra caffeine and a dose of cleavage could wake up sleepy drivers...
  19. It's because, for the most part Thais are completely terrified of Covid. However, there is no concern or fearfulness when they take to the roads This is due to a combination of arrogance, overblown self belief and a mindset that "accidents only ever happen to other people".
  20. We have an outside, squat toilet which is away from the house in the corner of our land. So they would be welcome to use that if they really were desperate and couldn't it in.
  21. It is always the same every year. Most of the supermarkets will be heaving on the 31st Dec. You need to think ahead and do your new years eve shopping a few days in advance.
  22. So really is should be "the seven slightly less dangerous than normal days."
  23. I think the days for urging Thais to not drink and drive are long passed. It is time to stop pussyfooting around and start getting tough! They have shown time and time again that they just cannot be trusted not to drive or ride whilst intoxicated. They should be threatened with massive fines, having their vehicles crushed and lengthy jail sentences. This should be done publicly as a warning to others.
