  1. (No Homo) - Ohlins make the best m/cycle suspension - 23k for a Forza.. The Nitron ones being fitted are nearer the YSS G Series shocks, which are circa 9,500 baht ...... That's an awful lot of extra money for a few stickers, on a bike that rides and handles like a bathtub, imho surely better to spend yer hard earned on an ADV 350, which comes with Showa front forks and Showa gas shocks as standard ..and costs 35k less//
  2. i'm waiting for the Forza "Bathtub" Edition ....... lol
  3. yes - all of them - don't own any of them - don't want a bathtub to ride round town on.... This bloke reccons the ADV 350 is the best .... Tend to agree with him .... .
  4. touring Thailand on a geared 125cc bike ..... i couldn't imagine much worse (wave maybe ?).
  5. yes change the suspension as it's dire ...then again so is riding round on a "Bathtub" with lousy ergonomics .....
  6. my fear about buying a second hand bike is that the km's may have been wound back ..... I would only buy from a westener who bought the bike new, and has taken the bike back to the dealers and had it serviced and has receipts to prove what has been done ..... As far as the bike being crashed / repaired - proceed with caution ....
  7. don't like the "chopper" look / riding position .... It's like a licence to get someone to wear a bandanna ... oh - and remember the days it wasn't cool to keep saying things were "cool" - now breedin' everything is cool ....
  8. here's my tenpenny worth.... All 3 are large scooters (many have said they're like riding an old bathtub) Too big, heavy, bulky and dificult to park in cities like BKK, Pattaya and CM Forza and X Max have dreadful ergonomics (the ADV 350 is like you are riding an auto dirt bike) ..... Forza and X Max have dreadful suspension.. Out of the city all 3 are ok, but if you want to do long distances, you would be better off buying a larger geared bike ..... Not sure where any of them fit in - If i has to choose one - It would be the ADV 350 - but in the real world the ADV 150/160 is better (and cheaper) ..... .
  9. i dread to think how much attention to detail the owner does for his 1,200 baht per month ! - prob just changes the oil ! - let me know your T shirt size so i cand let you have a "I Told You So " T Shirt when the brakes fail and you hit the back of a truck with a 100b helmet on yer head ..... Who in their right mind would want to ride about on a 35,000km s hagger anyway ??
  10. OP - just use an agent, don't have to go through all that palarva then ...
  11. how much were they charging to take a medium size motor bike on the plane ? Exactly ....
  12. On the subject of condoms .... Does anyone know where you can buy "Small Pecker" condoms on-line ?? - (asking for a friend)
  13. Depends how big your condo is i guess ......
  14. i know loads and loads of English / Aus expats that live in naklua .... It's the "English" style stuff we'd be interested in not German.... I'm sure we'll be regular visitors when Cheap Charlies Naklua opens it's doors.
  15. Got chatting to a bloke in a bar last night and he's friends with the Owner of "Cheap Charlies" Restaurant in Soi Bukkou (and Jomtien) - Reckons they are opening up on the Naklua Road, in the old Kiss Food place..... If this is true, it will be a welcome addition to the area...There hasn't been anything like this since "World Of Sport" shut it's doors 8 or 9 years ago... Remember you heard it here first....
