I do not know anybody that fits this bill - going back home for their own summer - seems total bull to me, to cover for lack of tourists and blame foreigners.

I only know of 2 people that have left, 1 to get some work done on the NHS and a second to go sell his house to marry his latest boo and finance her. Certainly not holidaying in their own country !

I play golf out of a bar. Two or three weeks ago we were getting 25 people per day. playing twice a week. Last Monday we had eight and Friday ten.

  2. I very rarely have an oil massage now. I did at one stage have one every week. My wife would have a Thai Massage and i varied between a Foot and Oil Massage. That massage place has long gone and the other day I fancied a massage. So looking for recommendations . Straight massage, I have no desire for any extras. Just looking for he best available at normal price ie 300 Baht.

  3. I've been using the same Air Con company for some years to service and clean my Air Con. When I tried to contact them yesterday by text I had no reply. Waited 24 hours but still no reply. So I'm looking for a new company. I live just of Thepprasit Road and I would like a local firm if possible. Recommendations please.

    Thank You

  4. Anybody know why it's shut today. The message outside says  North Star library shut April 11 - 15, and there is a new sign above the door which reads "North Star Language School." no mention of library.

Apologies for a delayed response to your concerns on Thailand entry requirements.

You may have already seen that the amount of insurance cover for all foreign visitors who apply to enter Thailand is now USD 20,000.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreigners who are on O-A visa and already have health insurance or social welfare in Thailand that covers all types of medical treatment including Covid-19 of not less than 3 million Baht do not need to buy separate cover to enter Thailand.

We appreciate this remains a worrying point for many people. We will continue to monitor the situation and raise with relevant authorities where we can.

So what is it for expats with an "O" visa reentering Thailand.

Most girls in the bar is. There's even loads of old farangs driving their gf to bars agogis etc and pick them up afterwards. I love when the man pick her up ang gives her a nice kiss haha after she has been kissing 20 strangers

In 40 years of coming here and living here I have never seen a Falang do that. Plenty of Thai boyfriends on the other hand. In Bangkok and Pattaya.

  7. I've asked this before but when I try to find it again, well everybody knows that the search engine is useless. So best straight massage parlours and oil parlours. google maps locations would be helpful.  Next time I'm going to save the replies so I don't have the probem again.

Redmi 9T is cheaper that the above @ 4.5k.  But generally inferior to the Note, apart from the bigger capacity battery.

Do you need a data package for the phone?

I don't know what I need. I am a complete ignoramus when it comes to phones. My present phone has SMS and my sim card is 15 years old. My main concern is Bolt and GPS anything else would be a bonus.

    Seriously consider a " Vivo Y 11 " Phone.

    Large screen

    good Memory ( expandable )

    Fairly fast in use

    5000ma Battery life

    Good Camera

And you will see some change out of 4000 Baht

Then just sign up for an AIS pay as you go account, that way you can put as little or as much into your Account for usage

Any Phone you buy, ask for the Phone to be demo,d for you and you can see how easy they are to use.

I was the same as you a Year ago, and this was the route I chose to take, and it worked fine for me.

You have almost convinced me. So after delivery what do I do next? When I look at AIS or Dtac I just get confused.

  10. I've asked this before but when I went back to look for it I couldn't find it, Well, we all know how good ASE ANS search engine is. So try again. I want a cheap phone. Mainly to use Bolt and have GPS  (if I brake down).

Camera I'm not worried about (it has to be better than the 15 year old camera I already have). Also what package to go with it, I don't make many phone calls.

By cheap I mean about 3 or 4,000 Baht but will go up   if I have too.

I look forward to your  many helpful suggestions and in anticipation Thank you

Not in Thailand, the driving is fine....    its the roads that are too slippy or the brakes that are not good enough... possibly an amulet was not good enough.

Its never anything to do with speeding, poor maintenance, sleeping, high-on Yabba, smashed up on lao-khao, caffeined up on M150,.......

You missed that old favorite. Bald tyres.

    Hello

I highly recomend my manucure/pedicure (also hairdresser) who is very near from Bangkok Pattaya Hospital ...Sukhumvit Soi 28 (second soi on the left after BPH going towards BGK) 4th or 5th shop on the left when entering the soi, just after a local 'restaurant" shop..

I have in grow nails and she works very well and is very nice.. I am her customer for nearly 4 years, never disappointed.. it is a local salon so don t expect luxury etc.. but very clean.. I don t in fact know her name.. the shop is CK Hair I think

She speaks a few english words.. Tel 0955035678. Manicure+pedicure 350 bahts

    Have a nice day.

Many thanks. She sounds just what I'm looking for.

  13. After many years of using the same  lady for all my hands ,feet an hair needs I find I need a new one. The lady in question has decided to go back to the farm. After her husband died last she she thought she would stay here but after a year she has decided not to. She will be coming back occasionally (she still has a house here) but not enough to continue with the Hairdressing etc.

This has left me with a problem. She was the best manicurist I have ever used in all the years of coming and then living here.

So can any one recommend a good manicurist. I live i Jomtein but have a motor bike so anywhere within 20 kilometers   would help.
