  1. Anyone can try to predict what will happen, but nobody will know until it’s all over. I’m not happy with either choice and sure there are many people in the same boat. Time will tell. Until then it’s just a guessing game.
  2. If they are so concerned about the influx of visitors, then they need to stop giving out free visa on arrivals. They want the numbers but obviously can’t handle it anymore. This will cause a major backup at the airport. I don’t think the amount will stop anyone from traveling, but the headache will.
  3. Yes I’m sure they did, but I was able to do it with a condo built next to my house and if you are persistent enough they will pay you to continue to work. Document everything with pictures, videos and time they work. Difficult but not impossible.
  4. I bet there are many people out there waiting to play the minority card and get what has been given away to other global majorities.
  5. I’d contact the EIA and demand financial restitution from the builder and developer. They approved it and should make sure that the builder stays within guidelines permitted, or pay for the damages.
  6. What does the TAT keep trying to get the locals to travel more when most are already in debt to their eyeballs. All they want is numbers and could care less about their citizens. And sadly many of the people will go and continue their delusional lives of games and travel.
  7. Do they honestly believe that by killing the top dogs that no one will step in to retaliate? They are in for a rude awakening if they think this is anything close to over. The murder of the innocent people and children will never be tolerated and they will have their revenge. It goes both ways people.
  8. That fine is a joke. If that’s how they plan on handling it, it will never stop. Crazy how they come up with these fine amounts.
  9. With over 85% in debt and rising, I don’t think they will even get close to these figures. All they care about is showing positive numbers and not the people.
  10. If you get involved in the beginning and get out before it ends then you would have been okay. It’s just a matter of the timing of when it ends. Never spend what you can’t afford to lose.
  11. I’d love to have one but doubt a foreigner would be on the top of the list.
  12. Back to the topic. The old aged here get sh*t for their living expenses. My MIL gets 800 baht a month Minus 7% VAT. Ridiculous. They need to give more support to the elderly people.
  13. They need much harsher penalties and enforcement. They always seem to get away with a small fine and a Wai. No wonder they never learn.
  14. If you have any trouble urinating please go see a doctor about it. It can happen at any age. At 53 I couldn’t urinate and I let it go a little too long and ended up in the hospital. Then tested and had surgery. It’s not pleasant but wasn’t too bad and well worth your health. We men are stubborn and we need to check things out a bit quicker than our minds tell us.
  15. Bus driver driving too fast and too close to the vehicle in front. When are they ever going to learn, and when will the cops start enforcing the laws.
  16. About time they started doing this here. Hopefully most of the restaurants in Pattaya will also be involved so we can keep our gutters clean and stop polluting the ocean.
  17. People don’t really care about debates anymore because they have all the information and answers they want from looking at their phones or get bits and pieces from the news. The old days are gone and we’ll just have to wait for the Election Day to see what happens.
  18. There’s just not enough details for anyone to be making any judgments.
  19. I raised my son with a strong voice and had a belt there so he knew to listen and do what I asked him to do. I never had to use the belt or a butt smack since he was 8 or 9. He knows how to behave and respect others. My mom and dad did this with me and I am forever grateful they taught me respect and right from wrong. My son is now in University and works when he is out. Turned out to be a great child and young adult. The parents that are kid pleasers are only going to get troubles. IMO
  20. It’s not a quick or easy process. Must wait for the probate to be completed, even if he had a will. It took well over a year to get anything sorted when one of my friends friend passed away, and he was the executor. Lots of hoops and hurdles. Good luck.
  21. They need to just squash the lawsuits and tear that eyesore down. It been years and years since it stopped being built and for some reason, unknown to us all, that it hasn’t been torn down.
  22. It is very sad that these poor souls had to die this way. They and their families deserve prayers. Also it must have been horrible as a firefighter or paramedic to be there. I just hope that they will learn from this and go back to the old days when we had fire drills in the bus to know how to escape. Obviously this doesn’t always work but it certainly helps.
  23. Just took a friend who is buying a condo here but on a tourist visa and BB wanted 22,000 baht for the insurance to open an account. I knew it used to be around 4,000 baht but that was a long time ago. If you can get an agent to do it cheaper, I say go for it.
  24. They should carry tasers, especially in these cases.
