Similan Islands Fraud: Tourists Falsely Registered as Thais
LukKrueng replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
If the foreigners actually paid the Thai rate nobody profits, only the park lost revenue... -
I saw it. It doesn't match my over 30 years experience with them.

Kbank. Small business account.

I've been writing cheques for years, always using the Gregorian calendar years and never ever had any problems with it. If I ever made a mistake with a cheque they would call me to ask what to do, and if I authorised them to make the payment they'd do it and ask me to come in and make the correction later obviously if there is more than 1 signatory on the account all must sign after the correction and in a case of a company the official company's stamp is needed.. In some instances they actually sent a bank employee to my office to get it fixed.

It is, but unfortunately their threads still show in the "forum hot topics" links and you don't know whose thread it is until you click on it.

Thailand Cracks Down on Shady Massage Parlours
LukKrueng replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think you've been on Thailand long enough to know that "Thai massage" is the English translation of "nuat Thai". And according to your testimony it's obvious you've never been to a legitimate massage place, but only to the more, well, not so legitimate places that offer mainly the fun part... -

Selling second hand bike in different province.
LukKrueng replied to mrjohn's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
That might be the actual cost but the fee the agent takes shouldn't be more than a couple of hundred Baht. Basically if you make the name transfer within the province the vehicle is registered (makes no difference where the buyer is registered as living) there is no need to change plates. If you makes the name transfer at a different province you have to change plates before you can transfer ownership. -

Or you can go to any of those places that inspect vehicles for registration renewal, pay a small fee and they'll take care of everything for you. -
I don't get it. What transgenes seek midwifery services? If it's a man that "transitioned" to be a woman, can he give birth? If it's a woman that "transitioned" all the way to be a man, can she give birth? And if you change the language over such a stupid issue - make sure to change animal husbandry to something more inclusive. My wife demands I takes care of the animals because it's husbandry!

She has started asking for money
LukKrueng replied to Magpiefan1892's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Send like a beginning of a genuine relationship. You met a girl a couple of times over a (lady's) drink, after the 3rd date you paid a bar fine and she came to your hotel (you didn't mention it it was over night or just short time - and there's a big difference between the 2), then you transitioned to long distance relationship and now you consider taking care of your sick future mother in law. That's nice. You should stay in this relationship as it seems she really like you so much that she disclosed to you her mother's medical condition and now it is up to you to show her how serious you are about her. You should offer her to move her mum to a better private hospital, maybe the big one in Bangkok so she can see how much you love her. Another option is that you send her the 8k and tell her that's an advance payment for your future dates... -
Thai citizenship for an adult child
LukKrueng replied to LocoKwai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If your son already had a Thai passport that means he is recognised as a Thai citizen. All he needs to do is apply for a new passport. If he wasn't registered in a Thai house book you might have to do that first. I just went through the process for a couple of friends who live overseas. Their children were registered in a central house book, their original passports expired about 6 years earlier. They had to go to the Thai embassy where they live and sign a POA for me to need allowed to take them out of the central house book and put them in mine. Once that was done they went back to the embassy and got the children new passports. -
They could have had multiple citizenships\passports as many members of AN. And yes, if you enter using different passports with name and DOB there same - the system can (and as some posters here reported) link the passports. But they used fake passports, probably with different names and DOB. If the system had to go through the full database for each and every passenger the lines at immigration will stand forever. So the logical way is 1st compare what's on the passport to the person in front. If there's a problem you take that person to the side and dig deeper - just as happened in this case. They got caught. The system works.

You’ve probably already used e-passport gates when entering a country – these match the picture in your passport against the face staring into the camera, and read the other information contained in it, such as your nationality.
