Exreme weather we are all experiancing is giving the global warming supporters more credence every year. When I see how Thailand depends on tourists using a global transport system pooring out CO2 every minute of every day I begin to worry how sustainable that will be in the future . I believe there will be a heavy tax applied to the airline business to try and reduce the damage. Also Thailand needs to address the damage caused by unroadworthy diesel driven vehicles spilling out pollution. Create a system for collecting food waste is needed as well . Get serious about promoting solar energy and streamline the application process.

Restaurant ‘beefs’ up search for customer who paid 200,000 baht
itsari replied to snoop1130's topic in Chiang Mai News
I have two accounts to avoid any mistakes like the 200,000 baht to pay 2000 baht blunder by one account just enough for day to day expenses when using net banking. If you are short of what you need then transfer from the second account. Plus if you use an ATM you avoid displaying large numbers to any person behind you. -

I have seen that Thai police do become kamakazi candidates at checkpoints if the vehicle refuses to slow down or stop. Procedure is to wave lights at the oncoming vehicle and then if the vehicle continues to ignore commands initiate a pursuit if safe to do so. I dont think they are instructed to try and stop the oncoming vehicle with there body.. I do hope the officer makes a full recovery what ever the reason. The young German must answer for his actions.

Expats and Retirees Excluded in Thailand's Citizenship Grants

Thailand does not officially recognise refugee status. Recently there has been an influx of displaced people from Myanmar that Thailand considers them irregular migrants under Thai law and may be detained. Many western migrants are married raising children . Not so easy for them to pack up and leave and of course they can not be compared to the stateless people living in Thailand. However they are contributing to the Thai economy with very little hope of becoming a Thai citizen. -

I would not say the man in the photo is over muscled . You can see easily if they have been pumping iron all day. Some bricklayers labourers end up with a body like him I have seen over the years. -

Do Australians MIND that they do not have a vote?
itsari replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Why just allow Australia to vote? Just a potential of 17 million eligable votes possible anyway. Bring in the whole western world to vote on who governs USA as the country is so important to us all. That could break the dead lock between the two parties . -

On what grounds must he be deported ? There is no evidence to suggest the man is an illegal drug abuser . There is no evidence to suggest the man has done anything illegal for that matter. What ever has caused his behaviour to become a centre of attention will most probably never be known.
