  1. Yes rumours abound. But I heard the rockets from the launchers have a range of 25 miles . . . . .
  2. Hi Kimamey. I'm guessing you are in Khlung area ? You say 30 KM to the border? Interesting - maybe I made a mistake but on a map today, I tried to measure the 'crow flies' distance to the border from Chanthaburi south. My efforts, which could be wrong, showed about 120km to the border and about 180km to a road, (thinking of the rocket launchers). I'm interested how close the border is, academic interest. I'm guessing you are in Chan province close to Trat. Anyway, if you are up for a Chang in Chan anytime, no problem. Stay safe. I doubt it was thunder you heard. ATB
  3. I'm asking ASEAN Members if/how the War affected YOU today ? It was really interesting to read first hand comments on another thread yesterday. Please indicate your 'area' in Isaan or the East, as much as you feel able. The fighter aircraft I heard Saturday at 6am - it turns out - they were attacking a strategic bridge in Cambodia, trying to impede the movement of heavy weaponry, (tanks maybe). (Nothing today as happily asleep!). I'm guessing that was c 60 km or more from Chanthaburi, where I am and I'm surprised the noise carried that far. Please, no personal jousting, just reports. It is serious. Thanks and stay safe all.
  4. Apparently there's bombing of Cambodia in areas S and E of Trat. Interesting to note that note here earlier, Thailand has 122 Fighter aircraft compared to Cambodia, 0 (none). Let's hope that ceasefire ain't too long in coming !
  5. MJCM - Isaan ? I guess Cambodia is about 60km south of here but much less to the West, over the mountains. Take care and GL to 'Uncle' . . . .
  6. BubbleG stay safe . . . I'm guessing you're in Isaan. I'm in Chanthaburi and have heard about 6 am, what I'm sure is fighter jets to the South. Generally, good luck to Trump. I hope his intervention helps.
  7. Sorry Jerry. What is WWA ? That's all I asked.
  8. Boring - keep examining the actions of past Presidents in your attempt to distract, but I will pay attention to the daily horrors coming from the incumbent idiot ! Whatever happened in the past, let's concentrate on the unfolding nonsense we see daily from King Trump . . . .
  9. I see no point in listing the 'Frequent Posters'. Surely it is quality not quantity that AN should highlight. Many posts are trite, trivial and kneejerk in nature. I enjoy reading the Posters who think before they type and who have something to say, (whether I agree with them or not !) This flippin 'broken heart' symbol is confusing i.e. is it to express approval or disapproval ? Nice day all.
  10. MFD101 - sorry to hear that and wishng you ATB for a swift return to normality.
  11. It's awful if you live in affected regions close to Cambodia. But wild rumours/concerns abound . . . A Falang Friend told me this morning that Thailand has invaded Cambodia, then I hear that Cambodia have rockets that will reach Rayong. I don't think so. Thailand has far superior and varied firepower. Cambodia will get seriously bloodied if they persist. If the USA can calm both sides that'll help. The disruption to Civilians in these quite poor areas and for the casualties, it's a nightmare. Take care all and keep cool.
  12. Thanks for posting that Social. For a Brit like myself, obviously this has alarming implications - it's not good to have the unbridled evil of Putin sat right on your doorstep. Just this once, I'll acknowledge that Trump and the USA have a point and it's fair to remember that this was highlighted by Trump in his 1st term. Europe has been amazingly remiss in not acting on the original signals/warning. However, the Trump/Hesketh axis is fraught atm and we'll have to see how far the USA goes with this - the proposed timetable is fierce. I tend also to agree with USA's sense that Govts In Europe have been too liberal and left on some fronts in recent years, the EU and ECHR featuring strongly. Can Europe pull itself together ?
  13. Johnny thanks for your time in drafting that very fair summary and indeed, you are right when you say you "could go on". What a sh*t show this Trump Administration is orchestrating . . . .
  14. With respect, I assume you are referring above, to the MAGA Repubicans ? Your last sentence also seems to do the same . . . . .
  15. Yagoda - desperate stuff from you today. "Trump is a bad post" - you mean a 'Trump is bad' post ? Or were you trying to say that Trump is as 'thick as a post' ?
  16. Morning Sunny. Your post is ridiculous - "the most persecuted man in just over 2,000 years". Ha ha ! Trump is unpopular and much criticized at the moment and he deserves it all. It's really dangerous for the USA and the World to have him as POTUS. You think there is no 'real reason' to criticize Trump ? Wake up Man !!!
  17. Looking around the news today, it seems that this Trump Administration is in extreme confusion. Trump just quoted his 'Tariff's' as having raised 'hundreds of millions' in contrast to the 'seventeen trillion' he said some time ago. And reducing prices by 600% is mathematical nonsense as has been pointed out, (99.9% recurring is the maximium mathematically possible). This sad President has antagonised and estranged all his neighbours, e.g. Canada, Mexico, Venezuela and Columbia ! Ukraine and all of Europe's wider security has been put in jeopardy by wildly erratic, bizarre and clueless statements and actions. Currently Trump advocates Ukraine's surrender on Russia' terms - some 'Friend' is he !! Americans are struggling as the economy falters and Trump's measures turn order upsidedown. The signs are, his political support is coming apart at the seams - roll on the day when he falls . . . . . Very sad to see the USA in this state . . . . .
  18. Yes pure scaremongering . . . attention seeking from George, again. For a start, many Muslims in the UK would be against it. With everything that's going on around the World, George, can you think of nothing more relevant than this ? !
  19. Getting back to Putin, he is a totally malign ,evil and corrupt character leading Russia into disasters neither Russia nor the World need. Wittering on about Obama and Biden is just silly in this context. IMHO
  20. Surely what is needed from POTUS is quality time not quantity time ? Every day Trump makes a succession of bizarre appearances, with it seems, almost nothing to say of any consequence, relevance or purpose. It's crazy but Oval Office feels to me, like a second home now. The whole Cabinet is constantly pictured in bizarre sessions of 'butter up', extolling Trump's self awarded virtues. The Cabinet Table is for meetings and discussions and decisions - does this happen at all ? I mean, at all? The Media hordes are always in attendance of course. But just when does the Cabinet do it's WORK not just POSE AND POSTURE ? Then Trump's activity on 'Untruth Social' is persistent and frenetic, particularly at times when the rest of us like to sleep - this is not normal or healthy behaviour . . . Something is wrong with Trump, seriously wrong. Any ideas ?? If we all saw and heard a lot LESS from him, it would be better, (and it would give him more time to consult, discuss and think things through !! )
  21. Sharot - good post. Kow-towing to Trump just has to be done sometimes although as many have found out, it's a nauseating and often unrewarding process. For all his grandstanding, I doubt if Trump has ever kicked a football in earnest ! Poser as ever !!
