  1. Spot on Tug - Trump indeed cuts a pathetic figure these days. However did he win in 2024 ? It defies belief . . . .
  2. 'Infant ino' awards the newly invented FIFA peace prize to the Trumpeter 🤣 Trump just doesn't have any emotional stability - so needy ! Trump needs constant validation yet spends his time alienating the World around him - including his MAGA faithful. What a shot show - stand up the USA please, before Trump engineers any more disaster. And leave our beloved football alone !
  3. The Reform Party and 'Farage the gruesome', benefit from entitled Brit syndrome and rampant anti-incumbency. A Puff of Wind - they won't go the distance IMO
  4. That's quite feasible. THe World record for people inside an original Mini is 27 FGS !! Fifteen in a Fortuner should be a breeze !! https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/most-people-crammed-in-a-mini-cooper Imagine the desperation of these Folks - it's really sad.
  5. Not for me - absolutely NOT !!! As a youngster, I experienced the Blackpool and the Battersea torture and woul never seek it again. I've been gliding, skiing, caving but FunFairs - a major YUK !
  6. There's no element of prejudice at all, in my reply GeorgeG. You post nonsense and are not interested in helpful contributions . . . . just an attention seeker. GL
  7. Then go to Australia GeorgeG
  8. GeorgeG - drop anchor and have some faith ! I had cardioversion in Bangkok Hospital in Korat, where they saved my life and later a catheter ablation at BKK Heart Centre, both in 2013, and I received exemplary care and kindness. Some of the comments on your thread have been dismissive of Thai Doctors and I think that's wrong . . . . Doctors in Britain told me that Dr Koonlawee Nademanee, who did my catheter ablation in BKK, was regarded as top in the World, having practices In San Francisco and holding many of the Patents for the equipment used. Today I have been to BKKH in Chanthaburi to get a 'Complete Blood Count' (to check after a changed prescription) and an Echocardiogram, for which the NHS waiting list was 8 months long ! The Hospital, Staff and Equipment were all first class. Cost THB 7,800. Any BKKH should be OK. Bungrumrad in BKK is an alternative. Good luck . . . .
  9. In short - YES !!! The clown President . . . . .
  10. Good news - accountability and a response with honourable action. I wonder if we will ever see the same phenomenum with our dear Friends over the Atlantic, in the howler strewn confusion of this Trump Administration?
  11. Sad for Andrew M-B of course - next on the list ? Removal of succession to the Throne ?
  12. Yes Zaphod - the use of the 'net migration' term is a PC attempt to obfuscate. What we are concerned about is called 'IMMIGRATION' and we don't want that factor distorted by 'migration' trends - it's woke gone crazy. 'Net migration' is a total misnomer - because, it's always 'NET IMMIGRATION" - the bl**dy opposte !!!!!!! Use of this term has been institutionalised, to the shame of the UK's media and politicians.
  13. Thanks for the replies to my post earlier, about the Reeves budget. As for reactions, 5 in total - all thumbs down - which is fine. I wonder if any of the 5 posters can either contest the facts or defend the cotinuance of Govt. borrowing of £100,000,000,000 p.a. for the next 2 years. Total Govt debt now hovering around £3 trillion soon - do the sums. Just the 100 billion p.a. amounts to £1,500 per man woman and child, £6,000 per family of 4 and £3,000 per person in full employment. That's what the Budget PLANS to add to Govt debt, in just one year. Understand the facts, don't shoot the Messenger . . . . ATB
  14. The 'leak' of the full Budget was a desperate mistake but nothing to do with Reeves - it was the 'OBR's' howler ! However, I deplore the last few months of Reeves' leaking proposals to the 'Party' and others, to get reactions. The Chancellor should simply prepare the necessary measures, explain it fully to the Cabinet and then announce it in Parliament as usual. With no pre-seeding of ideas ! And she still hasn't tackled the problem of Govt. borrowing and it's overwhelming burden of cost. FOR THE NEXT 2 YEARS, GOVT. SPENDING WILL EXCEED GOVT. INCOME BY ABOUT £1,500 PER MAN, WOMAN, CHILD (AND IMMIGRANT), adding to Govt. debt. IMO this Budget is a clever attempt, but it ducks the major problems. The triple lock on OA Pensions must go AND the OAPension itself, should be 'means tested'.
  15. I agree with that BritMan. Myself I wish Labour had taken the opportunity to means test the State Pension, drop the triple lock, and make substantial cuts to the ridiculous Mobility Scheme, (although some adjustments had been made). IMO no good wailing at Labour - the Tories had 14 years to address burgeoning Govt debt, (now amounting to some £40,000 per head, or more, and that's excluding future Pension liabilities). Not much done about a Benefits crackdown ! The economy was doing better under the steady hands of Sunak/Hunt but anti-incumbency sunk them, without trace!
  16. It's MO that Farage IS a 'puff of wind'. A product of widespread dissatisfaction with the UK's financial realities and the rampant appetite to criticise that is dominant these days, what is best called 'anti-incumbency'. Once the Labour Govt. in Britain has been hounded into history, the force of 'Anti-I' will be applied to whoever is called on to sort the British political rabble. BTW, Labour have made some horrendous errors and I'm not attempting to defend them ! One for the weekend - as I said, IMO, Reform and Farage are a puff of wind . . . . I may have to eat my words one day, but mai pen lai. Did you notice these two recent reports ? These Clowns should not be taken seriously. Can you really trust this crew ? ""Nigel Farage has denied – albeit through a spokesperson – that he ever said anything racist or antisemitic when he was a teenager. The Guardian has spoken to 20 of his contemporaries while at Dulwich College in south London who say otherwise – more than half of them on the record. So, who is telling the truth? That has become the crux of the row that has engulfed the leader of Reform UK."" Quote no. 1 of 18 "[Farage] would sidle up to me and growl: ‘Hitler was right’ or ‘gas them’, sometimes adding a long hiss to simulate the sound of the gas showers […] I’d never experienced antisemitism growing up, so the first time that this vicious verbal abuse came out of Farage’s mouth was deeply shocking. But I wasn’t his only target. I’d hear him calling other students ‘<deleted>’ or ‘<deleted>’, and urging them to ‘go home’." Quote no. 3 of 18 "Farage used to say things like ‘Hitler was right’ and ‘gas em’, you know, that sort of thing. But he also used to sing this song, which I later discovered was based on George Formby’s Bless Them All. “He had a whole load of ‘lyrics’ on this which are pretty awful. I can remember it verbatim: ‘Gas em all, gas em all, into the chambers they crawl. We’ll gas all the paks, and we’ll gas all the yids, and we’ll gas all the coons and all their <deleted> kids." "" https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/nov/22/nigel-farage-racist-past-who-is-telling-truth-schooldays and ""A Ukrainian official called a Reform politician “perfect” for accepting bribes to promote Russian interests in the European Parliament. Nathan Gill, Reform UK’s former leader in Wales, has been sentenced to 10-and-a-half years in prison after admitting accepting bribes for television appearances and speeches. Gill, a former Mormon bishop and father of five from Anglesey, was offered at least £40,000 for sharing pro-Russian sentiments at the behest of a close ally of Vladimir Putin between 2018 and 2019. At the time, he was a prominent Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Ukip representing Wales, and later went on to join Nigel Farage at Reform UK. He pleaded guilty to eight counts of bribery in September. Sentencing him at the Old Bailey on Friday, Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb described his actions as a “grave betrayal” of voters’ trust that caused “corrosive damage” to public life."" https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11/21/nathan-gill-reform-uk-russia-sentencing-european-parliament/ These aberrations are not the first ! These are the People you see as saving our Nation ??? Should Reform ever get into Govt., we'll be anti-Reform shortly after.
  17. One hour maybe. That's fine . . . .
  18. The conclusion about shutdown being too late was correct IMO. That week involved included a major race meeting and a European football match and for weeks, when the USA and New York in particular were really struggling with Covid, LHR was receiving 30 flights daily. Whatever, it's done now. Surely no-one would envy the pressure Johnson was under at the time.
  19. I'm asking ASEAN supporters of Trump, do you agree with this ? Up to 70 now murdered as 'narco terrorists', without any evidence of guilt at hand. Service people and Political figures have warned that the action can constitute 'war crimes' and it has been pointed out that the military should refuse to carry out unlawful actions, (in accordance with the Constitution), Worth a watch . . .
  20. Sunny - I really wonder about your posts ? Will you be the last Trumpet blaring ? Whatever do you see in this appalling Man ? Re. this earlier, "Donald Trump didn’t bother pretending to be gracious". No surprise there then. Trump is a man without a trace of grace, (humility and decency too).
  21. MTG explains, clearly and strongly, why she is resigning from Congress effective on Jan 5th. Whilst not an admirer, I can see the point she is making and why she has decided to go - after all, whatever political colour one might be, who could work with Trump and remain a rational or well intentioned Person ?? Respect ! I wonder if we have seen the last of her in Politics ? Somehow I doubt it and wish her well . . . . . (MTG speech starts at -39.15 in).
  22. And straight through the Senate to Trump's desk !! Trump has apparently signed it already . . . A somewhat chastened looking Pam Bondi says they will release the Files 'subject to the Law', (it has been widely suggested that Pages can be held where current investigations are under way). Such investigations have recently been ordered by Trump into a number of prominent Democrats. Quite how this would result in pages relevant to Trump being withheld is hard to see, (unless Trump declares himself under investigation LOL) Thanks to my thumbsdowner ! Please post a reply if you have time. THE WRIGGLING BEGINS HERE . . . .
  23. Watching the Sky review of today's newspapers, journalist Jenny Kloeman makes a powerful point i.e. apart from Epstein himself, it's only Brits that have faced punishment so far, over the gruesome and 'sordid Epstein saga. That's Ghislaine Maxwell (who IMHO has been cruelly scapegoated) and also Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Peter Mandelson, whose lives have been somewhat comprehensively destroyed . . . . Whose next ??? The wriggling starts now !!!!!!!
