  1. That's exactly what I'm doing! Directly 2l cartons in 7-11 went above 90bht, I switched to Dairy Rich powder @225bht for 9 litres. Big savings, 50% cheaper, and much easier than having to keep going out for milk. Also saves more, as I'm not impulse buying because I visit 7-11 less.
  2. Off topic, Not sure 24 million pounds in damage is that trivial an offence!
  3. Yep, and you are probably the best poster on this forum to opine on that!
  4. About to be gone, as green activists burnt the factory down and they ain't rebuilding.
  5. MY parents drank Typhoo, I drink Typhoo. But currently also drinking Tata Gold, which also tastes like Typhoo. Tata Gold, loose leaf black fermented tea, 180bht for 500gm, empty tea bags 15bht for 100, works out at less than 200bht for around 150 tea bags. 6. Nope, it's an indication of being low class and coming from a broken home. Or maybe having at least one mentally ill parent?
  7. More like, they don't HAVE to go out with grandpa because the state will provide. High cost housing, homeless people, divorce, single women, debt .......... ALL western government policy, nothing more!
  8. Let go of your old junk, move with the times, be less selfish and don't subject others to your noise. Earphones are polite.
  9. Pretty sure they can shut down anything they make that has an internet connection. Home inverters, phones, remote operated switches, cars ..... the list is endless. But equally sure they wouldn't dare, unless as a last resort starting TEOTWAWKI.
  10. I'd suggest more oil and gas power stations and distributed container genny units, and less reliance on power that goes off on cloudy days. Back in 2000 they had the container genny all over cornwall, turned themselves on whenever there was a voltage drop, would run for an hour, then turn themselves off, sounded like jet engines. @mrfill National distribution and small localised power peaks have always been a problem. That's what the container genny is for. https://www.gmtex.co.uk/industrial/
  11. I encountered it when trying to get my BKB unlocked, pointed out the bank app says any branch and just sat quietly. After a while they decided I wasn't going to leave, and just started doing it. I'm an expert in quiet obstinate protest, no need to shout or cause a scene, just sit quietly at their desk and look at them. About the only thing they absolutely won't do is give you a new bank book if you don't have the old bank book. Home branch only (not sure why).
  12. It's the property price that is wrong, not the wage. Just across the bridge from SF, the countryside is empty, no lack of space, just government restrictions and taxes to keep the western worlds ponzi property scheme running, keeping the working class in debt servitude, and the banks rich. Buy 50,000 Chinese modular homes, park them all near Muir woods/ Mill Valley, give them to the poor and homeless free. (2 bed pods, fully fitted out cost around $10,000) SF house prices drop to $250,000 and everyone in the area can afford homes on normal wages again. Elon or Jeff or Bill or Donny could do it with the spare change from their last share options. Or the government could do it by not giving money to Ukraine, but like all the west foreigners first, citizens last Obviously SF would not be able to charge their existing massive property taxes.
  13. Trivial crime that no Thai would be chased for, at worst police would tell offender not to do it again and accept 500bht for the 'victim'. I actually doubt they could have even got the police to turn up. That's my point. His real crime was having his white foreigner skin ........ nothing more! The victimization of this poor chap is a disgrace to the country. And posters constant slamming of this guy are a disgrace to them. Shame on you all!
  14. Zinger burger, size, as much as I can comfortably eat ....... same as it always was. And the two tacos at La Casita (200bht), I can eat them, but can't finish the chips and dips. And the German breakfast buffet, just gone up to 250bht, i probably won't go again (at least for a while). Chicken Jalfrezi and Naan bread, still 260bht, still have trouble with the last mouthful of Naan. Not much change in the past 5 years, for price or size, only the German (220bht-250bht in 1 year).
  15. But food costs are a trivial percentage to most peoples spending, so rises are largely irrelevant. Housing, property tax, utils and personal transport is what kills you in the west.
  16. I'm quite frankly surprised you don't know how basic business stuff works. But I shouldn't be, because the entire political systems you support don't seem to know either.
  17. You don't even know how franchisers make money! As you've just admitted.
  18. But homes don't need to cost that much, it's only government regulations and policy pushing that price. It's not as if our countries are full, Oz and the US are practically empty. Modular homes are easily purchased for $10,000 but your government won't give you permission to put it anywhere.
  19. Does anyone really care about the opinion of someone who's not sure of the difference between a male and a female?
  20. Why would McDonald's care, as long as they get the rent and franchise fee?
  21. Easy 1/3 the price of a home. So if you earned 10,000 a year, and a local house cost 30,000 ..... That's a living wage.
  22. McDonald's don't sell food, they sell franchises, and rent property.
  23. A high living wage is only required because of the artificially high price of housing and property taxes. Which would be really easy to fix if it wasn't government policy of all western governments.
  24. Almost no foreigners in MaeJo where I live. Only seen one other white face out here in the past week.
