Am I the only one using (Indian) 'cook in sauces'?
BritManToo replied to BritManToo's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
My plate was clean, as was the saucepan and utensils. I don't eat off the cooker surface, so I don't care how my wife leaves it. -

Open your government gateway account. Find the 'tax rebate' button, and answer the online questions. Money back in your UK account within 14 days. Done it about 3x in the past 5 years. (Pension lump sums, and drawdowns) -
BYD fire tracking Thailand
BritManToo replied to ExpatOilWorker's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Mine always forgets her cooking, can burn anything. Now whenever I smell burning, I shout "are you cooking something". -
I do like an Indian curry, but am too lazy to drive the 12km into Chiang Mai every time I want one. Tried the packet mixes, but they're just nasty. But the cook in sauces work well every time (dice and stir fry the chicken, add sauce and simmer/stir for 15 mins). They are all medium (no matter what it says on the jar), so if you like it hot you will need to add more red/cayenne pepper. It's 100bht (ish) a jar for the sauces, and another 75bht for 750gm of chicken breast, takes around 20mins (mostly stirring). I buy the sauces (Patak or Sharwood) from Food Variety on Lazada. 4-5 meals for 175bht so not too expensive. Did Chicken Madras this morning, Am I the only one using these sauces?

Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record

Or in the Climate prediction game a 99% chance (from past predictions) of the new prediction being wrong. -

Predictions for sea level rises made in the 1990s (30 years back) didn't happen. Why would anyone believe predictions (made by the same people on the same subject) would be any better. Fool me once shame on me ............ If these guys weren't all working for the government, they would have been sacked and never worked again. -

BritManToo replied to Social Media's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
Looks like a cheap Chinese electric scooter to me. Clearly this guy was paid a lot to enthuse about this POS. -
Didn't know they mined Lithium in the USA.

Women lie! Other ladies income is always exaggerated in an effort to make you give them more.

Trump has a lot of common sense! Those batteries are all sourced from China. I remember they laughed when he told the Germans not to rely on Russian gas. Giving your enemies power over your country is never a smart move.

Fridge needs to be moved further away from the wall, and more ventilation space at the sides.

They have pork stew, it's very soft. I generally have the thick cut boiled ham which is very nice. -
QNUPS and Financial advisor
BritManToo replied to MrBanks's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
First sign = foreigner giving financial advice in Thailand, it's a job 100% reserved for Thai citizens. Second sign = anyone wanting to move assets to Jersey/Guernsey/IOM/etc. Once there you lose any chance of legal recourse. Normal scam is foreign FA working illegally in Thailand using an offshore company for shelter, and maybe a management company in you home country. Once dividing responsibility between 3 countries, none of their legal systems will want to protect you. Which is why crooks are so keen to use offshore bases. Keep your assets in your home country where it's relatively safe. -

Don't do it the financial advisor company are crooks. You friend is probably a crook as well. Better to pay the tax after death than lose everything while you are still alive.
