300-500bht at a clinic. Kids are free at ALL government hospitals, no need to be registered. I think it's up to age 15, but it might be only to age 12.

Cannabis addiction -- let's discuss
BritManToo replied to Jingthing's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
Fingers, from riding a m/c a lot in UK winters. Before cannabis they were too swollen to wear a wedding ring, too weak to open twist top bottles and the pain kept me awake most of the night. Surprisingly the swelling and weakness went as well as the pain. -
Cannabis addiction -- let's discuss
BritManToo replied to Jingthing's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
As far as I know there are no withdrawal symptoms when you stop so it can't be addictive! Been using 0.5gm every night for the past 2 years to stop joint pain. If I miss a night or 2 there is no downside apart from the joint pain creeping back. Your 'reefer madness' topic title is misleading, if not misinformation.- 101 replies

Are you actually hungry ? Habit or need ?
BritManToo replied to The Cobra's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I lost all appetite 6-12 months back. I have to force myself to eat 3x a day or I lose weight very quickly. I frequently forget to eat as I'm never hungry. -
Would have thought job losses more to do with COVID restrictions that lasted 2 years. Don't see how Brexit split any families. Brit economy seems stronger than most of the EU countries. Inflation is rampant everywhere. Interest rates have always been 6-8%, if you were stupid enough to buy a house believing 1-2% would continue, I don't have much sympathy. As far as I can see the only negative effect of Brexit (for the general Brit population) is it's harder to retire to Spain or France. PS. I'm not a Brexit supporter as I wanted to live in France, and now I can't.

Why would the money run out? Only those western guys fully funded should live in foreign countries.

Resort = short time motel. -
They don't like carrots that much, rabbit pellets and what they find in the garden + farmhouse wholewheat bread for treats, or a bit of apple. But they're terrific cure for loneliness, and you don't have to take them out for walks.

Nah, I had a Brit pal that spent a year in the Bangkok Hilton (heroin), and came out speaking incredibly good (if low class) Thai. The ability to pick up a language is down to no distractions, stick yourself in a room with 20 Thais and no other entertainment 24/7 for a year, and you'll come out speaking Thai.

I bought some rabbits, problem gone. Great company and I can have a cuddle whenever I like in exchange for a crust of bread.

Just working my way through the Rivers of London fantasy series. Pretty good so far, about the section of the London Met that deals with monsters.

Which destination my girlfriend and I should go?
BritManToo replied to WanderlustJoy's topic in Bangkok
If you want to go sight-seeing without breaking the bank. Hanoi wins hands own. Boat trip in Halong Bay Train and then hire bicycles (just outside the station) then cycle to Ninh Binh and Tam Coc for the lake and cave rowing trip. Walking food tour. Walking cultural tour. Even the lake in the centre of Hanoi is nice.. -
Amazed that you think that's wrong! The people that make our societies work deserve a little in return. But as it is the people that contribute nothing (entertainment, sports, lawyers, et al) take the most. And would point out most of the job losses in the west went to societies that aren't either free or competitive. China and Vietnam make almost everything these days. I'm with Karl on this, those that do all the manufacturing/construction/infrastructure/food production work should reap the rewards of their labour. Trump may be a con man, but at least he pretends to represent the common man. Unlike the crooked globalist candidates.

Ten waterfalls worth visiting during the rainy season
BritManToo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Lots of waterfalls close in monsoon as too dangerous. I remember swimming in one near Petchabun when the rangers gathered us all up and escorted us out as it was raining upstream. -
Social life and dating in Thailand

Best I got back home was a 5, out here in SEA I'm having 8s,9s and an occasional 10. And the ladies here were all considerably cheaper (not to mention smaller) and more loving than my 4s and 5s back home.
