Whatever Happened to Doing Things Like a Human?
BritManToo replied to Lewie London's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Reading and writing is not a normal human activity, maybe time to whittle a spear and start knapping a spearhead from flint. -

How do you feel about Thailand being clearly far-right?
BritManToo replied to JoseThailand's topic in General Topics
Every country in Asia has the same rules about foreigners. -
Price/source/website. Photo showing complete package you recieved. Quite frankly, nobody could tell anything from the photo you posted. Samsung batteries are purple ......... and cost at least 100bht/cell LR1865HC is Lishen, made in CHina

4 chinese cans on offer at 69bht would cost 274bbht. So I'm saving 200bht by making my own. 4 Brit cans at 139bht would cost 560bht. So I'm saving 480bht by making my own.

Economy Thailand’s Wealth Gap Widens: Most Bank Accounts Below 50,000 Baht

A lot more understand that having savings gets you nothing extra. In the UK, you need to save 250,000GBP in a pension fund before you get any net gain in retirement. (the first 250kGBP of pension savings just reduces your benefits) Not to mention as a married/cohabiting guy, you'll lose half of anything you saved in the divorce/separation. In some ways it's just better to spend everything you manage to earn and borrow on unsecured credit (free money). So I sort of agree with the Thais. -
The only people that worried were the foolish and the obsessive. Clearly trying to tax foreign remittance would never work, as people would just stop remitting (like I did), or only live here under 6 months of the year. Suddenly nobody with foreign money was buying condos or cars. Then after a year they noticed condos and car sales well down ......and changed their minds.

It's advice I've lived by the past 15 years, and served me well. Ps. It costs nothing to be polite and civil to other forum members.

Don't buy anything in Thailand with money you can't afford to lose is the most obvious precaution.

Do any of that list really affect your happiness. I'd list "availability of slim attractive younger women to have sex with" as the gold standard. Nobody gives a flying one about governance, productivity, healthcare, insurance, public transport ..... Emissions of carbon dioxide .... caught my eye, that's just laughable! OP appears to be some kind of AI generated woke fantasy list!
