However, government agencies and private companies are aware of the fact that I am "married".
Never tell anyone your business, especially government agencies.

Traffic around school times is insane, I stay out of the 8 am and 4 pm tangles. Pollution this year in the smoke season of March was the worst I've experienced in ten years.
Plenty of women looking for a farang ATM.
Yeah, but they're the same women that were looking 5 years ago, just a bit older and fatter now.

Da Nang beach in the day, then after sunset ........
It's a place for you to go with a gf/wife, no free range women, 99% Asian tourists (Korean, Chinese, and Viets)
A few married expats with their expat wives, a few single expats who smoked lots of cannabis and seemed a bit lonely.
A nice clean beach that went for miles, good for a cheap weekend beach visit, but nothing much else of interest.

Let's face reality, at 70 Corbyn is too old to be anything except retired.
It's an obvious truth for all to see, but I guess we can't have civil servants mentioning the truth.

Is it really possible for someone to be infected with HIV and genuinely not know it? I would think that one would feel like crap with what that does to the body, even though I know it make take several months for one to register as positive. Being afraid and not wanting to come to terms with it is another thing.
My pal was diagnosed with it last year, the Brit doctors said he may have been infected as long as 15 years ago.
He died last month, no symptoms until 1 year before the end, and not in an obviously 'at risk' group so why would he get tested?

Will be leaving for my third holiday there this year tomorrow.
Cheap flights, no VISA, great beaches, cheap beer ........ what's not to like?

The rules aren't different, just the payment plans.
My Brit wife took 600,000 pounds off me at the end, the Thai ladies are more PAYG.

i cant fathom why guys think they need to pay there wifes and gfs a salary.
It's because I'm 60 and she's 20.
If I were banging a 60 year old lady (god forbid), I wouldn't be paying her.

Maybe, but in my opinion a majority of posters is convinced that a relation with a Thai lady is doomed to fail.
Mostly, I suspect, based on the negative comments they read;
but again in my opinion doesn't represent the majority of the cases.
Only the fools have relationships doomed to fail.
Those who control their money and their women will have a series of successes.

As to some of the popular meds now available, I have serious concerns about the side effects, as many reduce libido and can cause ED. My dad was became impotent by the time he was 62 and it was never resolved. That is not a position I would like to find myself in. I am 56 now. As a result, I would rather go for Rezum steam treatment than take 5-Alpha Reductase Inhibitors.
Been taking Doxazocin + Finasteride for three months now.
Libido not reduced, weeing greatly improved (from not at all + catheter to normal).
Small amount of weight gain (from 75Kg to 79Kg), probably more to do with no exercise while carrying a wee bag for a month.
Not much dizziness unless I spring up from lying down, but I always had a bit of that.
So far, so good.

Safer and much better cardio if you run up the pilgrims trail.
proper cross country running and should be a real 1hr burnout for you.
I say safer in that theres no traffic to run you down but then theres snakes and tree roots that can leave you isolated without a leg to stand on...aint that right Britman2?
Went up in the evening a couple of weeks back, in the rain and getting dark.
Pit viper right in the middle of the trail just before Wat Palaat.

Not knowing you had to do it makes it quite difficult.
I don't read ThaiVISA so how could I possibly know about these silly rules?
No signs up anywhere, no warnings when I get my 90 day non O from the consulate or enter/leave Thailand.
So how would I know?

Slim attractive hookers and warm weather?
PS.
I was paying 800 pesos/night for a beach side apartment (aircon, wifi, cable, fridge) in Subic, free use of beach hut, nice sandy beach where I could swim every day and a floating bar full of young ladies 100m away. That was cheaper then the same type of apartment I found in Krabi.

Nah, cans are usually more than bottles in SEA.
But shouldn't you be comparing local products, rather than expensive imports? Leo Vs San Miguel etc.
Full regional pricing on budget beers ........
I was paying 35 peso for a small 330ml San Miguel beer in a Flip bar, Vs 60bht for a small 330ml Leo in a Thai bar. Vietnam 15,000VND for a 450ml Saigon Green, Cambodia 50c for a 330ml Ankor Draft.

Democracy works when you have checks and balances. Dictatorship works when you don't.
Thailand isn't a unique and special country/culture.
Yes, the USA, UK and France have working democracies ............ but they don't work.
Maybe time for them to try dictatorship.

A friend joked to me that 2 beer at home every day was now around 40,000 baht a year.
At today's rates that is $1800 Canadian.
Move to Vietnam or Cambodia.
Beer is 50c-75c for a 300ml glass in a bar (10,000bht/year).

OK, which countries would you recommend for the cheapest round trip airfare?
I booked Chiang Mai to Da Nang return a week back, for a flight with AirAsia later this week.
2,300bht total, $75
CNX to Vietnam Hanoi/Da Nang/Saigon all around 1,500bht per flight (or less).
No VISA required for me (as a Brit) either.

Krone/Aussie dollar/Nz dollar all far worse with 30%+ losses in the past 4 years.
Euro not much better from 50 to 34 in 6 years.
When someone picks the pound out of a bunch of failing western currencies to slam I always think 'remainer'.
Because it's a political statement they're making.
Pound is down 4% against the USD in the past year, 1% down on the Euro, not that much of a difference IMHO.
