It makes you wonder if the 37% who don't buy travel insurance think that holding up a British passport will exempt them from any traffic accident. Perhaps it's the British equivalent of an amulet?

Most people don't have a m/c licence, so having insurance doesn't matter as they will refuse to pay.

The survey chickened out on stating where Brits are most likely to die on Holiday.

OP, I think your question is quite funny. It's like bringing your car to a garage to get it fixed, but you refuse to let them check your engine oil because you might think that could be more expensive.

I don't expect them to inspect the engine oil if I want my flat tire fixed.

Too old when you are a decade younger than me? What has happened to the peerless pussy plunderer?

My best pal died of AIDs earlier this month after 6 months of slowly rotting away in a UK hospital, puts me off a bit, it could have just as easily been me.

PS. He must have banged every bar and massage girl in Chiang Mai without a condom in the past 15 years, while infected but undiagnosed.

As I split my time I pay council tax anyway so I agree with you there. As do I with water and car related expenses. I own my house UK outright and my wife does via me in Thailand. Electricity can work out much more expensive running aircon etc. I pay 3,500 baht £90 monthly in the UK I pay 1,500 baht or £38. I was, as was a previous poster talking about everyday expenses, not occasional spend like car and house repairs. Cheese, tea bags, bread, jam, butter, cerials, milk, shampoo, washing powder, beef, bacon, towels, beer, spirits, wine etc etc all cheaper in the UK because of the exchange rate. But again I agree if no one has to exchange currency they will not feel the effect.

By excluding housing costs you're just being silly. Everyday expenses are trivial compared to housing and tax.

All the food costs in Thailand are cheaper if you're careful and choose local equivalent products.

Nobody forces you to use aircon, you won't die from the heat, but in the UK you have to buy heating or you'll die.

My Thai electricity bill is 1,500bht/month inc careful use of aircon, mostly at night.

I guess everyone reacts to medicine differently. I took Alfuzosin for about 6 months - it never made the slightest bit of difference to either my urine flow, or frequency of urination.

    Entirely the opposite to me.

The doxazocin helped me wee for 20hrs/day at the start of my treatment (started off with a total blockage and a catheter for 3 weeks).

And the Finasteride has clearly done some shrinking as I can now wee 24/7, and it's still getting easier.

sounds like the U.K. - are they gonna put cameras wherever you guys go? ????

Personal worn cameras with GPS that continually upload to a cloud and can't be turned off are the way forward.

For both proving your guilt or your innocence.

If a crime is committed, you just round up everyone that was there (GPS), and view their personal video/audio records.

    Seems very senseless.

I encourage them to check my blood pressure.

What is a person had a stroke while sitting in the hospital then haters would ask: why didn't they check it?

Geez, grow up and be happy they are doing it.

I check my BP every day at home, dentist doesn't need to do it for me.
