This part about the Thai boyfriend doesn't shock me at all.  So many of them have a Thai gik.  To be honest with you, I think its just becuase they can get away with it easier.  I've heard so many stories.  The "cousin" the girl isn't actually related to at all.  The caring supervisor from the old job who helps the wife out fixing things at the farm house.  I've heard farangs tell me stories in Esan where the guy for work reasons/family reasons/etc must go back to Australia for weeks/months at a time.  Even secret marriages.  Farang moves in, Thai gik (or Buddha village husband) goes home.

Thai culture doesn't allow married women to interact with other men without their husband present.

Also.. She is tall, leggy, long haired.  Perfect face and smile.  Model appearance.  Ten out of ten.

You thought she loved you because?

    Your good looks? great personality?

    Just wondering.

I always assume any young and attractive (unrelated) woman that talks to me must be a hooker.

    This is not good.

Can a Westerner spot the difference between an 18 year old and 16 year old Thai girl?  Why do they hire underage workers , when there's really no need for it.

As the OP called the informant a 'foreigner', I'll assume Korean or Japanese, white folk are generally called 'farang'.

Asian guys are fairly keen to get younger (than 20 years old) woman and will pay a premium.

She was obviously out of money just one month later because she took the bus from udon back to chon buri.

Getting the bus is entirely normal in Thailand, I do it too, doesn't mean I've run out of money.

Is it really possible for someone to be infected with HIV and genuinely not know it? I would think that one would feel like crap with what that does to the body, even though I know it make take several months for one to register as positive. Being afraid and not wanting to come to terms with it is another thing.

My pal was diagnosed with it last year, the Brit doctors said he may have been infected as long as 15 years ago.

He died last month, no symptoms until 1 year before the end, and not in an obviously 'at risk' group so why would he get tested?

Maybe, but in my opinion a majority of posters  is convinced that a relation with a Thai lady is doomed to fail.

    Mostly, I suspect, based on the negative comments they read;

but again in my opinion doesn't represent the majority of the cases.

Only the fools have relationships doomed to fail.

Those who control their money and their women will have a series of successes.

As to some of the popular meds now available, I have serious concerns about the side effects, as many reduce libido and can cause ED. My dad was became impotent by the time he was 62 and it was never resolved. That is not a position I would like to find myself in. I am 56 now. As a result, I would rather go for Rezum steam treatment than take 5-Alpha Reductase Inhibitors.

Been taking Doxazocin + Finasteride for three months now.

Libido not reduced, weeing greatly improved (from not at all + catheter to normal).

Small amount of weight gain (from 75Kg to 79Kg), probably more to do with no exercise while carrying a wee bag for a month.

Not much dizziness unless I spring up from lying down, but I always had a bit of that.

    So far, so good.

Safer and much better cardio if you run up the pilgrims trail.

proper cross country running and should be a real 1hr burnout for you.

I say safer in that theres no traffic to run you down but then theres snakes and tree roots that can leave you isolated without a leg to stand on...aint that right Britman2?

Went up in the evening a couple of weeks back, in the rain and getting dark.

Pit viper right in the middle of the trail just before Wat Palaat.

So aside cigarettes and maybe slightly on alcohol (PH does not look that cheap either), it's more expensive in PH.

I was buying 700ml bottles of San Miguel gin for 60 pesos in BizMart.

Cheapest bottle of drinkable gin in Thailand is over 200bht.
