  1. While Thailand has not prohibited Russian flights, international airspace restrictions have caused some companies, including Russia’s flagship Aeroflot, to cancel services, forcing tourists to seek alternative routes, such as through the Middle East with different carriers. Even their own airline won't take them back!
  2. Already answered above - Putin doesn't care about anyone or anything apart from his own agenda - a very dangerous man. Also even Russia's own airline Aeroflot has suspended flights, so that says a lot about his concern for his own citizens!
  3. Everybody's facts except yours are b.s. then? My "Facts" were acquired from RxList:- RxList provides content written by pharmacists and physicians and data provided by credible sources like the FDA, Cerner Multum, and First Data Bank, Inc.[5] RxList, as part of the WebMD Consumer Network, adheres to the same privacy policy as WebMD.com and is certified by TRUSTe I suggest you take it up with them, instead of shouting your gospel at me.
  4. "Ahmad Wasim, 42. His nationality was not known as his ID was unclear" He obviously doesn't know the Immigration Laws here! ???? Seriously, how was he allowed into the country if his ID was unclear? Unless of course, it got damaged in the accident?????
  5. I'm sure a couple of meals wouldn't break your bank! I've been "conned" a couple of times by Thai "ladies", but hold no grudges - just put it down to experience and never let it happen again! (Up to now!)
  6. And yet some doctors recommend that drinking a couple of beers a day is actually good for you
  7. I think he knows why, he would just like the answer from the horse's mouth, so to speak! Hence the "you" in the question!
  8. I think the post was a sarcastic dig at TAT, and their previous comments re wanting "quality tourists"! The poster will probably agree with what you are saying!
  9. Sorry, you beat me to it - hence my later post in a similar vein!
  10. But I thought that this Government/TAT didn't want this type of visitor? Did I not read that they only want "quality tourists" - millionaires with money to burn type people? Not "dirty unwashed farangs"?
  11. And you just try asking them if it's been re-ordered! ????
  12. TAT won't like that - their mission in life is to attract PAYING visitors/tourists, not bring people here to give them jobs and pay them! No, they would rather attract paying Russians, but neglect to tell them that they will have trouble getting money to pay their bills while they are here!
  13. When you were editing your post, did it not occur to you to give the credit for the lyrics to the person who wrote/released the song? Or did you write it, in which case, my apologies.
  14. "Thailand’s tourism supremo and Tourism Authority of Thailand boss, Governor Yuthasak Supasorn, has cautioned that foreign tourism numbers may be off by 30% in the first quarter of 2022" That has got to be a first! (Or nearly a first!) If I am reading it correctly, he is saying that their estimated figures of tourist arrivals are going to be down by 30% in the first quarter of 2022. "Off" impliers a deviation either way, but as per usual, disguise a "flip flop" with "doublespeak"!
  15. Thais in the supermarket stores industry have one answer to a multitude of questions which is never far from their lips, which is used frequently i.e. "Sorry, no have", when you know fine well that they do, they've just moved it somewhere else in the store, and even the staff don't know where! Which by the way, I believe was the brainchild of some American Superstore E.O. who decided that while you are walking down the aisle looking/searching for your item, you will spot something else that you "need"!
  16. Of course they don't - that would be tantamount to losing face, which will NEVER do! Oh, no , can't have that happening!
  17. "Thai Air Force Affirms New Fighter Jets Are a ’Necessity’" I would be very surprised if they said they weren't, but that were only for show(ing off!)
  18. I was only making what I thought was a relevant point, and anyway I didn't "open it" - I just looked at your post, and the figures appear automatically at the end! And by the way, I do have Worldometer as a saved site on my computer!
  19. Did you really need all that room, and all those figures to try to prove your point?
  20. We also had discipline and respect in the classroom, which seems to be missing these days. My ex wife in the UK was a full time teacher who retired to have children, then returned a few years later as a "Supply Teacher". She was amazed at the changes in just a few years, and I remember her saying that she wasn't teaching any more - all she was doing was trying to keep order!
  21. Just Googled "Education in Thailand and got this:- "The Thai education system is seen by many American Chamber of Commerce member companies as inadequately educating students in two important areas: English and critical thinking. Science, math, and Thai language skills have also recently been dropping to levels below international standards and lower than its neighbors." OK, it is a report by the American Chamber of Commerce companies, but it is indicative of how the education system in Thailand seems to be deteriorating rather than improving.
  22. When I attended Grammar School in the UK many years ago, we were actively encouraged to ask questions!
  23. From Worldometer today:- 33 Thailand 3,111,857 +22,984 And from yesterday:- 33 Thailand 3,088,873 +22,073 (The figures highlighted in yellow are listed on their Web page as "New cases". Sorry if I'm wasting your time!
