  1. I do like the the way some people can make a non spectacular event into a drama:- "Police SCURRY to make arrest", and :- "...immigration and tech cops SWUNG INTO ACTION..." And what on earth have "tech cops" got to do with it? So we have a lady getting her kit off with a monk in the background, and we have ordinary police, tech police, immigration cops, and religious affairs officials all getting "involved in the action"? Ah, got it - hoping for a "reconstruction" of the event!!!
  2. And "police should encourage members of the public to report any police officers who appear to have psychiatric disorders." Can you imagine the reaction at any police station if you walked in there and said "I've just been interviewed by one of your officers regarding ????? and I think he's off his rocker"!
  3. "I hereby appeal on the grounds of the envelope that I have just given you, Officer!"
  4. Also ""He is away with his girlfriend but had been out with some of the lads for a drink and told her he wouldn't be long until he was back." So, if we are to be cynical about it - he was riding a motor bike with no helmet, and had been on the phone moments before the crash, and had previously been having "a drink" with the lads (which was probably more than "a drink") Or to be non cynical, he was riding a bike, had been on the phone before setting off, which he had inadvertently left switched on and was in his pocket, had previously had one drink with the lads, and was later ploughed into by a truck. Take your pick!
  5. That's got to be a "Marriage" extension! Is there a photo of the roof of your house there?
  6. "A Norwegian manman was found dead with a slit throat at a rented room in the middle of Pattaya City Wednesday night." What on earth is a "manman"? I have heard of "ladyboy", "transgender" and "tomboy" etc but is this some new kind of gender spawned by the permissive society?
  7. How about starting a scheme to teach them how to drive properly in the first place? The driving "Test" in Thailand is a farce - I know personally of many people who pass their "test" never having driven on a main road, let alone a "motorway" or "freeway" whatever you care to call it! I like to brag that my Thai wife passed her test first time at the age of 50 something (!) - but now she is learning how to drive! Why don't they initiate a system like they have/had in Ireland whereby when you are learning how to drive you display red "L" (Learner) plates on your car, and for the first year after passing your test, you have "L" plates of a different colour to signify that although you have passed your driving test, you are a newly qualified driver? Probably too difficult for the Ministry of Transport to instal (I see the boss of that particular department has just been "relieved of his duties"), or for the Traffic Police to implement.
  8. But apparently the incident "has not affected his positive feelings towards Thailand." Yeah, right!
  9. "Every picture tells a story" Just look at the faces on these 2 pics - they speak volumes!
  10. Who's he trying to impress with this "young look"? Oh, sorry I asked - I'll get my coat!!!
  11. Thank you, Where does it say that he "stabbed or cleaved himself in the chest? According to the OP:- "A chopping knife was found on his chest" Note: Not IN his chest!
  12. Ahem - BONKING! BRITISH have sex with (someone). "I don't think that bonking the boss is a wise career strategy"
  13. Lots of places give free water, and if it was just sitting on a table, rather than behind the bar, one can understand how the "dodgy farang" misunderstood. But it looks like his attempt to explain his mistake fell on deaf ears, and it seems that the "legalised thugs" that are a blight on the bar scene once again show how macho they are - slapped face, handcuffs - for a bottle of water? Too many of these hoodlums making trouble when there is no need. P.S. Kudos to the management of the club for not only apologising, and trying to locate the tourist to compensate him, but also for sacking the individual concerned, and reporting the matter to the police.
  14. Minister of Wealth from the planet Greed - lots of money to be made from the newly instated weed industry (largely legalised by his efforts as he has a lot of money tied up in it), lots of money being made by the tobacco industry, some of which is no doubt being channelled in his direction to keep him and the Government "sweet" (Their profits would be severely impacted if all the smokers that wanted to stop started "vaping" instead (which apparently is much less harmful than tobacco, and as far as I know, less addictive. So, as Minister of Wealth, does he really have the interests of the people at heart when he says legalising E-cigarettes is "impossible"?
  15. Why can't I block statements from Anutin? (And don't tell me that I don't have to read them - they're in my face on the headlines on AseaNow and other publications.) The more I hear from him the more I wonder why people can not see him for the money grabbing self centred buffoon that he is, whose lack of diplomatic skills is obvious every time he opens his mouth? Fist of all he legalises the use of Cannabis (For medicinal purposes only - yeah, right! Nothing to do with the fact that he has got a lot of money tied up in the business, then?), and now he refuses to legalise vaping, which is bound to please the Tobacco Industry chiefs in Thailand no end, and no doubt they will be showing their gratitude in the usual time honoured fashion! Minister of HEALTH? Should be renamed Minister of WEALTH as that seems to be his prime objective - not the wellbeing of the people, that's for sure!
  16. The names of posters responding to a topic seem to have disappeared. Any particular reason for this?
  17. ".....damaging a tube of KY and a chocolate cake." Wow! Sounds like a job for the Army"
  18. I think that his heart (publicity seeking? Possibly/probably) is in the right place, and to stand up the way that he does and openly criticise the corruption and inadequacies within the system is to be applauded, not criticised. I don't think he cares one way or the other about farang problems, but there again, why should he? But as I have said before, he had better be careful about the toes that he stands on!
  19. "...............a 77 year old man called Phuang who saw a man in a yellow shirt carrying a child far away." I really don't know what to make of that statement! Or:- "Try to make a case out of that, Sherlock!"
  20. And whereabouts does the "sick buffalo" come into this "Web of Intrigue"? Pretty high, I would think!
  21. Pattaya, Thailand - A (poor) young Indian man doesn't look too unhappy while holding a police report stating pickpockets took 44,000 baht in cash from his pocket after he finished shopping at a convenience store.
