Is the Thai media racist?

Why is it that there are relatively few articles about Africans in the Thai press, but virtually all of these articles are crime-related ones (419 bank scam, black money scam, internet dating scam)?

For once, can I see some articles about black Africans in Thailand doing things in Thailand which show black Africans in a good light?

Is that a rhetorical question?

Just thinking out loud .... oh, and I forgot the drug pedlars.

I am not African, or even black, but wanted to give Africans a shout out.

Which leads me to wonder - which Asian country would be considered the most black African-friendly one? Perhaps Malaysia, with the Islam/Muslim connection?

Would definitely rule out Japan,they will not have them in their air space

Well they did organise and establish a church in ONNut Bangkok (The Church of Everlasting Light),or something like,however about 100 Nigerians not exactly praising the Lord,but high on drug pushing and pimping was raided by the BiB and unfortunately the Nigerian flock rather incensed barricaded the doors,only to have them broken open by the police.

Now this may well have been a one off,however I suspect there are a lot of law breakers associated with this tribe

Anything medical you are going to get hit hard by medical charges in Thailand. Google a couple of hospitals in Malaysia ,you will only be a couple of hours away,Skype them and get a few quotes. Always been well under half price from Thai quotes.

Alor Star just over the border,better spoken English obviously Penang just under an hour away once over the border

The guy I spoke with requested my email address and this morning I received an electronic claim form along with the guidance notes which I have downloaded.The life certificate form has now been completed and I will be getting the correct signature later this day and then putting said form into snail mail to the U.K.

Again, kudos to the staff , Brett in question at the pension centre for dedication to their clients.

For those advocating dishonesty, note that honesty is in reality a quicker and easier path to follow.

As a bonus to honest endeavors one is unlikely to find ones pension stopped while a fraud investigation is carried out and any subsequent over payments taken back.

From time to time I do comment on this thread,and yes your particular meanderings do get an airing. Not far off Malaysia,cheaper there for treatment. If hes fit to fly,hes fit to fly with or without a doctor,try Air India they will take the dead and dying in their stride,pay a doctor for a fitness to fly letter. Flying business class would be better,as economy they might well bump him

Repaired the piece myself,bit fiddly, using epoxy resin and sealant. Id try places that repair/scrap these sorts of appliances Numchai,,Father Rays Foundation etc(they repair and scrap all kinds of domestic appiances

Be surprised if Numchai could not get you one,or failing that if Panasonic have an office here in Patts ask there,was their machine I repaired,identical piece to yours

No idea. Bought the Panasonic water cooler at Sat morning auctions,should have known it was kaput,no way I was searching for that piece for what I paid for it,if it could not be repaired it was going back in the auction

Exactly what you are after that faulted,something else that comes close to what you are looking for internal filter for aquarium,the pump comes in two separate pieces the pump and the piping,threaded outer knuckle with sharp 90%bend,would be cheap,could try asking at aquarium shop may sell it separate,that would do the job.

Numchai in Banglamung,seems to be the place where repairs are carried out

Just seen your response 18 The outlet would connect to flexible plastic piping,it was this that held it too rigidly with micro plastic ties,did away with them,warmed the plastic tubing up ,making it more flexible and push fitted it

Had them twice,first time burnt off at GPs surgery,second time bought ordinary wart remover for 75 baht,applied it for couple of days,did it hurt ,but cleared up fine ,good for skin tags too

Not being a conisewer of fish after an \attack that put me in hospital ,I always but always eat that slice of lemon that accompanies it,fact is I ask for a couple more

I put the fault at the so called "talent" contests The Voice on channel 3 and suchlike,,utter garbage. Watched an episode last week,no kidding the girl was shouting down the mike,and surprise surprise,critical acclaim in abundance at the finish ,the girl was shedding more tears than a crocodile In essence a load of putrefied pig swill should have been emptied on her,give her a clue of how well she actually performed,all the Thai karaoke singers should be entertained as this,but nobody there to tell 'em how awful they are,,they exist in their own tiny planet

Things are getting worse generally for me and mine,got to stick it out for a while yet

Through your M8 box, Go to tvaddons.com, download xbmc/Kodi for android, ( it's on the front page of the website ) then get the instructions from the TVaddons site to install the HUB wizard and install it. This will fully load your xbmc/Kodi with addons to view just about anything.

Spend some time on the tv addons site checking out how xbmc works and start playing with your system downloading addons.

For movies and TV shows you'll want the 1 channel, genisis, and maybe entertainment hub. They all do the same thing but are set up slightly different. For an easy live TV addon install The vdubt25 addon it has a hundred odd live TV statiins including sky sports bbc etc. Note some of the live channels may not work sometimes but the developer of the add on tries to keep them up and running.

There are a huge number of utube videos to show you how to set up pretty much everything. Just search xbmc set up xxxxxx or whatever.

If you can handle the initial setup and take a little time to move up the xbmc learning curve then you will never have to buy a pay cable TV service again and you will have the ultimate TV viewing options.
