White House warns Ukraine aid is running out
kwonitoy replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Ukraine
it is very simple Russia invaded Ukraine because of NATO . full stop period. Absolute nonsense https://war.ukraine.ua/why-is-russia-invading-ukraine/ Putin’s numerious attempts to falsely present Russia as the “victim defending itself from an ‘aggressive’ West”, NATO’s expansion or “radical Nazis killing Russian speaking citizens” are nonsensical and serve as a tool of reflective control in order to cover up Putin’s own aggressive ambitions. -
Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital

What 6 tons of mines look like in one explosion -
I worked on a paving crew as a young man If it's hot mix, after it is paved and the roller compacts it, it's pretty well solid, maybe wait an hour or so. As it cools it solidifies If it's cold mix, it won't "set up" but requires mechanical compaction to solidify it, again once it's compacted your good to go It's not like concrete

What has caused this pain for more than 20 years?
kwonitoy replied to simon43's topic in Health and Medicine
I had a similar pain in what I thought was my left arm muscle. Does putting your arm on top of your head give relief? In my case after the orthopedic doctor saw that he said I had an inflamed nerve going from my spine to my arm. The nerve becomes inflamed after trauma and then continually irritates itself due to small opening in the spine that it passes through. Was prescribed a dose of B complex vitamins B1-12 and had almost immediate relief that has lasted for the last 7 or so years -
Spend some money and get https://www.briggs-riley.com/ I worked the oil patch for 40 years and just got used to replacing bags after 2 years or less. Samsonite other "good" brands. In 2008 I spent 1000 dollars on a set of Briggs and Riley bags, still have them. Lifetime guarantee, if it's damaged they will repair it and if unable to repair it will be replaced Well worth it.

Misstating Condo Sale Price
kwonitoy replied to Fortunateson's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Agent did this to me on my condo sale in 2019, without my knowledge by the way, I found out at the land office during the transfer. Selling price of condo 12 million baht, Selling price of condo on the land office official receipt 8.5 million baht I got two bank drafts from the buyer, 8.5m and 3.5m, so the first was for the condo and the second was for the interior furnishing (fully furnished) So I got my price, the taxable amount at the land office was lower and everybody thought it was win win Except when I go to transfer the money out of Thailand I can only transfer 8.5 m in one go as that is what is on the official Land Office receipt Some additional trips to the bank to transfer the rest out so in the end no damage done but more hassle So your officinal price to buy will be a lower price, less tax but you will be stuck with that number when you sell and try repatriate your money -

kwonitoy replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I used to visit my ex-wife in prison, first in Udon Thani, 6000 women in a prison built for 2000, It was hot and nasty in the visiting area, she said it was much much worse inside. She said they take dead bodies out every morning. Also visited in Sawang Daen Din, where after sentencing she spent the rest of her time, rural prison, prisoners are more local so she knew people inside Stopped visiting after our divorce, and she was released last year after 10 years in the monkey house. -
I used to live about 50km south of Phon Phisai, we went many times for the "fireballs" I thought it would be a globe like thing rising out of the water, what I saw was more like a bottle rocket streaking up and going pop. Very rarely I should add and nobody could really see where they came from Years ago it was a nice outing sitting on the edge of the river, eating drinking and not seeing much Nowadays they have barges and floats all lit up with lights and bands playing and you can hardly see the river for the boats, and not seeing much in the way of fireballs. I tried to get a photograph but couldn't, neither could the film crews that were set up Having been about 5 times I remain a skeptic.

HUNDREDS feared dead at Gaza Hospital as Israel denies strike.
kwonitoy replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Israel
This guy explains it with pictures. He is very good with Ukraine war information, doesn't jump to conclusions and is quite meticulous in his cross referencing and research. Hamas launched a bunch of rockets and one was intercepted and landed in the PARKING lot, not the hospital, but hey hamas don't let a good <deleted> up go to waste -

Change 2 year to 5 year drivers license
kwonitoy replied to FarAway's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Like others said, which country are you moving to? I've exchanged DL all over the world, a lot of first world countries recognize and exchange licenses without a test. Changed a Alberta Canada license for a Texas one, no problem, exchanged Texas license for Australian one, no problem Moved back to Canada from Thailand, DL not able to exchange The Thai license does not have a rating number on it that they recognize in Alberta, eg class 5 for passenger cars, class 6 for motorcycles, Thai license has a little picture of a car or motorcycle for the class rating and that does not compute I had to redo the written and driving test again. -
