Landlord refusing to do TM30 ?
Not all immigration offices handle it the same way. Unless your comment is about the Phuket immigration office, your post is off topic.

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
If I am retired and for that reason live mostly in Thailand, the DTV is obviously not the right visa for me.

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
I see the requirement of documents for the 180-day extensions as the only important question remaining open with the DTV. The existing Police Order for extensions needs to be amended or replaced before the first applications are made at immigration offices. Until then, it is a free for all for guesses, assumptions, speculations and expectations in this regard.

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
Thank you for your report, @HauptmannUK. A useful example for others in a similar position. The embassy in London is handling the DTV well, from reports seen so far. Easy on the requirements, fast approval.

Post new visa rules: Risk of getting denied at borders?
I missed this. Where was it published? How much was the fine previously?

60-day visa exemptions are now unlimited at land borders
"For traveling to Thailand by land and sea, UK ordinary passport holders are eligible for Visa Exemption Scheme with a maximum of twice in a calendar year." I see that the Thai embassy in the UK specifically mentions UK ordinary passport holders, but does it have its staff at the entry points to make sure that immigration officials enforce this?

60-day visa exemptions are now unlimited at land borders
"…Foreigners entering Thailand by any means under the Visa Exemption scheme are required at the port of entry to have proof of planned travel (confirmed air, train, bus, or boat tickets) to leave Thailand within 60 days of the arrival date…" That's what the Thai embassy in the UK says on its website but does the embassy have its staff at Thai entry points to ensure that the immigration official enforce it?

Will this mean an end to "fines" without receipts?

DTV issued
The eVisa shows the "valid from" date and the "valid until" date. It is valid for travel to Thailand from the "valid from" date until the "valid until" date. https://assets.aseannow.com/forum/uploads/monthly_2024_07/Screenshot2024-07-17175405.png.22f92dab38be4886af46a1e689af042e.png

The forum title suggests that we are talking about Thai visas, ie visas for travel to Thailand.

You didn't give a link to the place where you download your image from. The MFA website has it here, with the note "Revised 16 July 2024: https://image.mfa.go.th/mfa/0/mkKfL2iULZ/New_Visa/S__34283804_0.jpg

DTV in Vientiane, Laos.
https://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/en/page/visa-application-form?menu=65cae4d9733c85527866bb13 The DTV is not yet on the list where you can select the type, so you have to write it by hand.

Renewing Extension of stay : Custodian Thai child to Retirement
Before your current extension for living with your Thai child expires, you apply at your immigration for a new one-year extension of stay for the reason of retirement. In other words, you enter all data on the form TM.7 the same way as before except for the line "Reason for extension", where you will write "Retirement" and bring along the document required for the retirement extension.

60-day visa exemptions are now unlimited at land borders
This is what an English translation of the Announcement of the Ministry of Interior says: Source: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12Zn4PQT7dlqS39lhdeEd6HIGXsAeEG8Z/view?usp=drive_link As far as I can see, the announcement says nothing about the number of visa-exempt 30-day entries that can be made within a specified period. For the original Thai text of the announcement in the Royal Gazette, see here: https://ratchakitcha.soc.go.th/documents/37565.pdf

DTV requirement “Professional portfolio showcasing… freelancer status”
I wouldn't be so sure about it, considering that probably not every traveller from the UK who qualifies for the METV is a vlogger.

60-day visa exemptions are now unlimited at land borders
@Liquorice Thank you very much for the text of the English translation of the Ministerial Regulation you sent me. I have now converted it to a PDF file and uploaded it to my Google Drive, where it can be viewed and downloaded with this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w9wFbmPC_ByBKrcoe7oQHWJ8RQyPKDDg/view?usp=sharing This is the crucial sentence and as you have mentioned, it remains to be seen whether this rule will be officially amended or rescinded:

Converting from business to DTV visa
Thank you for this clarification.

The Elite visa.....Does it have a purpose any more?
Correct. To get the DTV, the applicant must meet certain criteria and therefore should not automatically be considered as a possible substitute for all other types of visas.

I see. You were looking for the word "consecutive" and could not find it. Tough luck. None of the other multiple-entry visas include that word either.
