  1. Unless you put in a local SIM and a Thai SIM with a dual SIM phone. The Thai SIM works over wifi. Works where there is no cell phone cover also, such as Wifi from satellite connection.
  2. Blimey, that's about 19 years, and 51 weeks longer than I could stomach.
  3. Don't ever see any ads here. Must be my browser settings ????
  4. I just use WiFi call in the settings of the SIM ( I use both AIS and DTAC) when overseas so any calls or sms messaging comes over the local overseas WiFi network which can be any provider. The costs are as if using a local SIM in Thailand. It negates need to worry if the SIM will work with international roaming.
  5. I think that's your best bet. Like bashing head against wall in here.
  6. Are bank statements now needed at CW for accounts used solely for Immigration retirement extensions? Or will a photocopy of the book still be OK as in previous years? This is for accounts with no transactions all year besides interest every 6 months.
  7. I don't have any option for a virtual card on my account for some reason. Only real debit cards mailed to my home. When I asked KBank before why they told me the virtual debit card was no longer available.
  8. Is the virtual card still available? I used to have one from the KBank web site but could not renew it as I understood they stopped these for everyone? I cannot find any option to get one on the K Plus app today? Can you point me to it please?
  9. Thanks for reply guys and explaining the 47/52 is size not pressure. These Schwalbe Marathon Plus are tires yes? I don't think my tires are the issue here as I am always getting the hole away from the tire in the tube on the seem join on the inside of the tube where it sits on the wheel - it looks like the tube just blows a hole open by itself as nothing seems to penetrate it. Anyway I ordered two more Chaoyang Cycle Inner Tubes as they are only 80THB each on Shoppee and will see how long they last.
  10. I've bought these Chaoyang Cycle Inner Tubes where on the box it says 29"x1.75/2.10 47/52 so I suppose the 47/52 is the max psi? I am using about 52-55psi for easiest rides for me on roads and never cross country or rougher ground. Trouble is the latest tube only lasted 4-5 months and I got a flat, on the inner rim whilst not putting the bike under any extremes. I checked the wheel and its fine. The tape covering spokes on rim looked OK and wasn't penetrated near the puncture and the spoke is firmly fitted so it could not puncture the tire. Is is simply a case of poorly made inner tubes - they were some of the cheapest online? It's happened twice in a year now and always exactly on the inner side seem of the tube. In each instant the hole appeared quite large when immersed in water tub, the tire went flat in 30 seconds or less and nothing on the wheel could be seen to have caused it.
  11. Did you get a denial stamp in pp and the Penang visa cancelled also? Not heard of this before when a visa is issued.
  12. Judging by the lead photo I suppose having lost all sense of human decency as a nation, they have tossed all fashion sense to the wind like wise.
  13. Driving there would be my last choice during a public holiday weekend. Waiting for the car ferry, been there, done that, never again.
  14. I wouldn't say delighting is the correct term. The marketing guys at BK TH need to rethink these monstrosities unless they are taking the proverbial - in which case they need to come clean quick. Until I see an improvement I wont' be going to a branch outlet again.
  15. Driving a car built on dreams does not inspire me. I would prefer one built on solid science. Also who came up 'Dolphin' for a car model name? How on earth does this attract buyers? If they cannot get the names to convince, I am concerned about what the build is like?
  16. I did that but it didn't work this time after several successful online reports for a new reason. I wrote about it on the main thread.
  17. I made a screen shot and entered exact same address data for several online 90 day reports which were all approved. The last one was REJECTED and I got an email to attend CW immediately. Sounded rather serious so I went. When I asked why I was rejected the IO said I entered part of my text for address on one input box called Address Number when I should have put it under Soi/Road box below. My address has TWO sois in it as I live on a smaller sub soi and the web site is not really set up for that. So I was dragged in simply because I put text in the wrong input boxes but the complete text was correct and nothing missing. This led me to wonder if the REJECT email and checking is done by a real IO person or some computer? Surely no reasonable person could be so petty? I asked why all my previous online applications were OK but this one which was done exactly the same was not and the IO said it was because I had re-entered the country! With that I smiled and left as I realized there is simply no hope.
  18. My NT bill is always done online and on time.
  19. Not the task bar, the task manager.
  20. First thing I check is task manager?
  21. It says Credit Card on the account ! It also gets accepted at places needing deposit guarantees such as airlines, hotels and car rentals where an ATM debit card does not. It's been a big help since my country of citizenship no longer will give me a credit card with a Thai home address.
