Spot on. Good post. Exactly why I stated to the OP that banks here are satisfactory, yet nowhere close to parity with western banks. Still use passbooks here.???? Those went obsolete at least 3 decades ago in advanced countries. Have to return to original branch (of the same bank brand!) to get a new, 3 decades useless passbook and to renew debit card. To do most anything important or necessary, even if you live 1000 km away. Number of copies and signatures is ridiculous overkill.

All accounted for. Been using online banking, shopping, auto-payments, credit card purchases & payments, transfers, apps, linking & syncing and any other tech that frees me from dealing with people. So convenient and E-Z. Never any problems. However, back in the times before such tech...had my credit card info stolen twice. Both times having substantial fraudulent purchases. Both times credit card issuer contacted me to verify and I was not responsible for one cent of those charges. Issuing banks generally protect their customers and eat those charges.
